Clem's Birthday

edited April 2014 in The Walking Dead

So since there's not much to talk about and I decided to waste my time and life to guess Clem's birthday

The outbreak started July 20th according to Crawford tapes. (Diana said it was before spring break but for the sake of this I'm gonna go with Crawford logic).

Then Episode 1 is around the 5th and 6th day judging for the amount of zombies there are already. Now 3 months later (Episode 2) it should be October 26th plus 1 week. November 3rd and 4th (Episode 3) then around 1 day to Episode 4 and another to Episode 5. That gives November 6th is when Lee dies.

Now that minus the 6 days Stranger mentioned should give us October 31st as Clem's Birthday (Aproximatley). Soo...

Clems birthday could be on Halloween! She should dress up like a walker and look for candy on the ground for a few hours....

  • I probably shouldn't be attempting this sleep deprived, but wouldn't that make it around July in Season 2? There was a 3 month gap IIRC, and then the 16 month one.

    Hardly seems right..

  • There was a shorter, indeterminate gap between Lee's death in Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2. Christa goes from not showing at all to heavily pregnant, after all.

  • Yeah, that's what I'm getting the 3 months from.

The 3 month gap is just a guess, though. We don't know how long it actually was. How long had Christa been pregnant in Season 1? We don't really know. Long enough for her to know about it, not long enough for there to be any obvious physical signs of it. How much time passed after that? Shorter than 9 months, since she hasn't had the baby yet, but long enough for Christa to start obviously showing. That's all we know about the time gap.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting the 3 months from.

  • I think she was pregnant before the outbreak or really early during it. Well I guess this can help

  • The comics and game are basically in the same universe, and the comics have been speculated to take place the same year of when it released, which would be 2003. Let's not forget that. I could be wrong so feel free to correct me. Clem would be like in her 20's in 2014, or dead.

  • Follow the wiki's timeline. They have a pretty good timeline.

  • Hmmm maybe but MAYBE NOT

  • I guess her 9th was nice since most of the Motel group was still there (Katjaa, Duck, Ben, Carley/Doug) but then again who knows if anyone actually knew what day it was ; n;

  • Did she turn 9 at the end of season 1, Lee get's asked her age, he says 8 and the guy says "Wrong, shes 9 she turned 9 last week"?

  • Stranger: I bet you dont even know how old she is.

    Lee: She's eight.

Stranger: Wrong, she's nine. Her birthday was 6 days ago....

  • My guess: She had her ninth birthday when the bandits raided camp, if you think about the timeline. That or the day before.

According to the wiki, episode 5 happens in the 111th day of the outbreak. 6 days ago...that gives us 105th day of the outbreak, if the outbreak started july 20th, her birthday is in october 15th.

In this logic, Clem's birthday happened 2 days before Long Road Ahead.

  • What a shitty birthday then :/

  • Lee: "What a crappy day"

    Clem: "The crappiest"

  • Y'know, I wonder if Clem just didn't know what day it was and thus didn't know it was her birthday, or she just didn't tell us and told the stranger instead.

I'm hoping for the former. :S

  • So by this research, I am just 7 months older than Clementine. That's pretty awesome :o

  • Who knows maybe she knew because on season 2 she knows that she's eleven.

  • The comics aren't nesecarilly set in 2003.

  • Also, the novel "Rise of the Govenor", which is canon to the game/comic universe, mentions Facebook and Twitter.

  • There is no better month to be born, you and I prove it :P

Yeah! High five Aus, I'm in October, too!

  • Putting a date on the zombie apocalypse is probably pointless. From now until they stop making it, it will probably always have happened 'shortly after now', whether 'now' is 2003 or 2030.

  • Yeah, none of the Walking Dead is set in a certain time, there is a 2005 license plate found by Clem, Glenn talks about Portal (which was made in 2007). I guess they have their reasoning behind it.

The comics aren't nesecarilly set in 2003.
