You didn't watched the show, do you?
These "doctors" didn't explain why virus or whatever make you survive. They explained that they are not people any more. I mean, we didn't know it for sure from the game, it's not telling us can they be "unturned" or something. But the show tells. And secondly, in the show we already saw 2 tries of rebuilding. In game, well. Wellington, I suppose. But we aren't even there yet.
So, whatever makes you think that game is better than show is wrong. The show is deeper in all aspects. And I'm personally more attached to the group of living from the show than from the game.
I don't wonna know how the zombies work, except for little things like certain behaviours or weaknesses. I feel insulted when someone spends… more 20 minutes explaining to me how a virus/parasite/fungus can make you survive everything but headshots and force you to eat other people. We know it's bullshit, no matter how many fictional doctors try to make it seem real. As for rebuilding a nation, I guess it's one way to go and I suppose Wellington represents that, but there are many other possibilities, story-wise.

Nay, it is about choice and consequence and interacting. The show might be more lore heavy, but really, what do the survivors gain from it? Nothing, just some fun facts, which the game doesn't need.
"Unknown Entity"
Just when Rick and Nate thought their war was over..
their war was just begining. Across the stars!
Alien invaders seek to dominate earth in its zombified state!
No screw you man you suck i aint read the issue yet but know what happens and i think is good! Negan is gunna be in jail and he will redeem … morehimself somewhat, and help Rick out in a war with another unknown entity at some point in the future, its called Character development....as Rick said in season 4.....we get to come back!!
You jiz head
They gain a purpose. To live. Why it's happening, how we can survive, what should we do to stop the infection? All these questions make them move on. If they just killing walkers and eat, what makes them different from zombies? People acts by purpose, not by instincts.

another one of THOSE threads >.>
stopped reading after "Telltale is ahead..." (okay, I didn't, but I really should have to save me … morethe frustration)
For one, the only reason they are so popular now is because they could write a story to an existing franchise. If there had never been TWD, there would have never been TWDG. That's a fact. It's hard to believe someone is "ahead" of someone when they wouldn't even be successful without the latter. They basically just wrote a fanfiction to TWD and managed to make money out of it. Granted, it's a very good fanfiction, but it's in no way original.
Don't get me wrong, I love Telltale's TWD, but all this hype is making me puke.
Secondly, Negan's arc is only over when he is shown dead. Rick sliced him, but he isn't confirmed dead yet. And even if he was, I don't see how it was stupid. Rick did the right thing here. It would have been stupid to even attempt working with a crazy bitch lik… [view original content]
unlikely. And even if there would have been one, it would not have been the same. (Different style, different kind of virus, maybe even different zombies.)
The fact that they said that the zombies live by only using their brain stem is stupid enough. And do you have any fucking doubt that a bunch of walking, rotting, brain-dead corpses can't be brought back to normal? Everyone knows they can't be "unturned", or have you ever seen a living person who has his lower half cut off and his guts all over the ground?
And what this obsession with rebuilding society? Like I said, it's just one of many options. I don't mind them doing it or not doing it. There's a million other ways to go and, if done properly, all of them would be a great story. Clem doesn't have a group and, when she does, it's like 8 people at it's highest. That's not enough to rebuild society, it's a tribe at best. And don't tell me I'm wrong because I have a different opinion from you. I like the game, the show and the comics, but I prefer the game. Find the way to deal with it 'cause I'm not changing my mind anytime soon.

You should examine the history of stories about zombies.
It would not be the same story if it was a George A. Romero licensed game. Robert Kirkman's outlook actually redefined the dying zombie genre. If you have not noticed big budget zombie movies are getting axed due to the thought that they are too limited and gimicky and reused in horror. Kirkman's outlook made zombies more than just about horror. Kirkman was one of the first to focus on further character development within the zombie apocalypse next to 28 days later which threw away character development in 28 weeks later.
If there was a George A. Romero licensed game most likely it would be a Dawn of the Dead remake or continuation like TTGs Jurassic Park but where every character would die with some BS plot about the virgin living the longest. We also wouldn't have Kirkman's innovative zombie ideas like covering ones self in zombie gunk to blend in with the zombies, Everyone is infected, Cutting off a limb that was bitten to stop someone from turning, warfare between survivor communities, and etc.
Since TTG went the route of creating games based on popular comic book series and novels most likely they would of picked another popular comic or they would of just went to fables or game of thrones in place of TWD.
Proof that TTG was inspired by Kirkman to make a zombie game is the fact that TTG is using "The walking dead" brand name and not a made up name of their own choosing right now to save money on name use. Therefore if not for kirkman's TWD there would be no zombie game by TTG.
I couldn't find the Comics online, so I just read the Wiki. Glad I did, 'cuase you're right. The ending was really stupid. I mean, I guess N… moreegan's punishment is worst in the long term than a quick death, but, seriously, there's no guarantee he won't return someday. He won't, 'cause Kirkman is sick of him; but, if I were Rick, I would've killed the fuck out of him. Not because he deserves it (and, my God, does he deserve it) but because when you see a threat like that in the ZA, you eliminate it and end it right there.
I think Kirkman is pouring everything he's got into invincible right now or at least that's what it seems like. TWD comic is just run on and… more Rick's team is to overpowered.
The comic peaked at the Governor arc but then started going down hill.
Im still a fan of the comic but the game has become the best form of the walking dead media.
I was impatient, can you blame me? But you're right. Honestly, it didn't bother me so much when I read it. I guess it's good that Rick wants to be civilized. But, still, they'd better starve Negan a little bit, just in case he starts planning to get away...

I don't play the game for a history lesson.
What happend to Rick's Leg being broken? shouldn't he be handicapped and in pain?
What's your point? Go play actions or shit like that then. Game is not about killing zombies if you didn't realized that yet.

Really?I just now noticed TTG TWD is not soley based on gameplay even though it has the best shooting mechanics since cod 4.

If there were no TWD, there would have been TWDG, it just would have been called Something Of The Dead (licensed by George A. Romero)...

You just read the Wiki on the finale of the Saviours arc? What a waste. That's incomparable to the comic itself, no wonder you didn't like it
The Hunter arc is fun. That and the mini arc of the Marauders. Most seem to love the Negan arc though. Tis good ja
I agree, if you're talking about the show.
Good to see it's going to good use
