I'm an old man and I cried when I saw ***** [Ep 202]

edited April 2014 in The Walking Dead

I shared the emotional high of being reunited with Kenny. I couldn't believe I was reduced to tears when I hugged Kenny (no other response was even appropriate in my humble opinion) and then again lost my cool when he called me, "Duck." There aren't many games where a player can lose himself into a character to that extreme. Kudos of the highest level to the writers for producing a script that does just that. Bioware and Black Isle have a few titles that had awesome immersion stories, but Telltale got me to become vunerable and let loose some tears.

  • As I've said before I disliked kenny during and after season 1, but hearing him tell off our group had me smiling but confused. Once I saw him though I teared up myself, but as you said when he called me duck. .. I don't know about his sanity.

So true actually surprised the unveil was spoiled for me yet still found the scene so beautiful nice choice

  • I agree, man. Especially with this theme playing in the background

Made it so much more emotional.

  • I didn't exactly "cry," but I did jump out of my seat and do a short little dance of joy when I saw him. The rest of the Episode involved me squeeing in delight whenever he walked over to me. The entire scene was simply beautiful.

  • I didn't, I thought it was obvious that it was him so I'd already dealt with it in my mind.

  • I dont know why but when I hear thus I begin to tear up because when sad stuff happens this plays and it holds so much emotion

  • To me, "Alive inside" felt like a happy theme, like getting a bit of hope. But the other version of this, titled "Goodbye" is much more sadder

  • I accidentally called my teacher Mom once, it was really akward. Not because I was abused by my own mother or anything. I mean to ask her a question and I said "Hey Mo-" and I caught myself. Then she said "Speak to me after class" After class she asked if I was getting enough attention at home, and she eventually walked off after I constantly reassured her my tongue slipped, and it was a mistake.

That's great for you but I had another response that I thought was very appropriate, and it wasn't tears of joy, lol

  • Aww shit i haven't seen this anime in forever ever whats the name of it?

I wouldn't say Alive Inside is happy necessarily. I've always heard a mashup of feelings mixed into it.

Hope being one of them, but it sounds kind of lonely, too. Kind of childish and unknowing as well.

  • I didn't like Kenny all that much in season one but I cried whenever I saw Kenny. I was so damn happy because I cried at everyone's death and especially Kenny's "death".

  • Making title show who comes back makes the spoiler thing useless

  • Yeah, you have a point. I always called it Lee's and Clem's theme because it would usually play when they were together, heh.

  • I don't know, man. The only anime I ever watched was DB and DBZ, heh. I just found that pic on google, sorry I couldn't help.

  • I was shocked and had a huge grin on my face when I first saw him. Then the hug came and I was doing my best to hold back the tears.

It's amazing how much emotion Telltale Games puts me through. Even though it can't be good for me :(
