Am I the only one that loves and feels sorry for SARAH?

You know, it's not her fault that her father isolated her from the world.

I feel the same way...i gave her the unbreakable pinky swear and she is my BFF now!

  • Teaching her how to shoot tho :D

  • Umm, who hates her? I don't like her (don't take it as "dislike", I feel indifferent towards her at the moment), but why someone would hate her? I don't think you're the only one who feels that way, OP.

You know I really thought about sheltering Clementine, keeping her innocence as long as I could. But after the speech of Chuck's, I understand that no matter how much you try to keep her away from the real world, you can't keep away the WORLD from getting her. Maybe Sarah made it this far thanks to Carlos. But right now, world has a lot of crazy people. Rapists, Bandits, Cannibals, Animals that likes to kill people. So yeah. I really care about her and feel bad about her. Sarah will understand what kind of world we live in. But when she understands, it'll be too late.

  • Well said fellow turkman.

Sarah probably understands the world a bit. But she's sheltered. Protected. She'll either die or learn. Whether she hates her dad or not...that's on Clem probably.

  • I do feel sorry for Sarah, who knows what's gonna happen to her on Episode 3.

NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT WATCH PLAYTHROUGHS ON YT AS EPISODE COMES OUT.

    BREAKS IT A SECOND LATER.

  • I used to hate her but now I feel bad for her after seeing some of the episode four achievements and the screenshots.

  • Yeah, she's 15 and acts like a fucktard. Doing pinky swears at 15...

  • I like Sarah. It could be the nurturer in me but I feel the need to teach her how to survive because Carlos won't. It's only right Clem returns the favor right?

  • She's kinda weird in Ep1, but I grew to like her in Ep2.

  • Yeah, when Carlos was telling me to stay away from Sarah, I even said "She needs to grow up sometime". Because in my eyes, everyone should be prepared for the world we live in. All sheltering is going to do is make them unprepared, and that makes it a much higher possibility that they're gonna die, and if they don't die, then they're just gonna get scarred even more than if you don't shelter them. I can understand why some parents want to shelter their kids from the real world, but for me, it's just not the right thing to do. Prepare your kid for the real world. I mean, if your 15 year old has less maturity than an 11 year old, that's probably a bad sign.

  • I feel bad seeing her face in the screenshot she looks fucking terrified.

  • Sarah is Love. Sarah is Live.

  • I actually don't feel that sorry for Sarah. She spent 2 years safely and comfortably by her dad's side, barely being touched by the apocalypse. Clem had to shoot her surrogate dad in the the face or leave him to die after dragging him away from her zombified parents. Compared to Clem, Sarah's been downright spoiled.

  • I think it's because you are a good person! Poor kid has mental problems, can we blame her or her father for not teaching her the world

  • Feel sorry for her, yes. Love her, no.

  • How can you be so cruel?! Sarah has a mental disorder and that's why her father shelters her!

  • To be honest, I don't think there's anything wrong with Sarah other than maybe asthma and childishness.

She likely doesn't have a mental disorder. As far as I've seen, the most she has is childishness and maybe asthma. Either way, she can clearly function perfectly fine, so why should she be pampered while Clementine goes through 2 years of misery?

  • I like Sarah too. My parental instincts were there for Clemmy, now I guess it's there for Sarah :)

  • Definitely. Sarah needs to know how to survive.

Because they're both kids who've lived 2 years into the apocalypse. One of them gets to read sci-fi by candlelight. The other has to sew her arm back together with fishing wire. It's hard to feel sorry for the former when we're playing as the latter. Except when Carlos was being beaten in front of her, of course. That was pretty gnarly.

Why are you comparing Sarah with Clem in the first place?

  • At first, I thought she was a bit weird, but nice at the very least. Than I felt really, really bad, because apparently I "manipulated" and persuaded her to steal which I didn't really put much thought in to be honest. After that, I still try to be nice to here, but she should really stay away from guns, zombies, angry dictators, really hungry dogs, Ben Paul and especially camera's.

  • I can feel sorry for both. I also feel sorry for you if you don't have the heart to feel that too.

  • I feel sorry for her and like others have said so I won't repeat it and why but sheltering her is dangerous she doesn't understand the world and in this one that is dangerous. as to feeling for her originally I felt she was just a person that could be used but after episode two I like her their is still something good and human in her character.
  • I eventually understood why Sarah was so... "Duck-like". Now that I know it's Carlos' fault for sheltering her, I feel the need to make sure she understands the dangers of the new world they live in.
  • She's only been involved in the story so little times, but i definitely feel sorry for what she had to witness in episode 2. I don't have an attachment to her, but if she was killed off i would react shocke anyway, i mean, who kills a kid like that?

I don't hate her but I did find her naive and she wasn't my favourite character in the first episode. I like her now and I do feel bad for her. :( I want to teach her survival skills but I don't want to go against Carlos' wishes unless I have to.

  • I'll protect Sarah no matter what happens. Yeah you may take advantage of her to get your needed supplies, but my Clem apologized to Carlos and he said I was forgiven. I then said in Episode 2 that he could trust me and he "remembered that", so he would obviously trust her now. I even took the blame for the photo and pinky swore to be her best friend and taught her how to use a gun since she should be prepared for any situation like that. It's a good feeling saying that I'll protect her, sort of reminds me of Lee towards Clementine

  • Makes sense that Sarah was sheltered as in a real life scenario most parents would to keep their children away from the undead
  • Carlos needs a speech from our hobro chuck!
  • Sarah knows that her father is sheltering her. If you tell the group that Carlos told you to distract Sarah, Sarah's response goes somewhere along the lines of "I'm not stupid" or something like that. It is very sad to see her know deep down inside that she is being sheltered and no one from the group is doing anything to get her father to stop nor help her grow. I believe she wanted to be friends with Clementine not just because she is a girl close to her age, but she sees in Clem what she wants for herself. She sees Clementine as the only opportunity for her to learn the hard truth and grow up herself. As annoying as she may seem at times, she and Clementine kind of need each other. Sarah can restore the hope and optimism Clementine once had and lost due to the tragedies she has had to endure. Clementine can help Sarah learn and master the skills necessary to surviving the apocalypse from a child/teenager's perspective. These two can turn out to be a dynamic duo if they can find time to work and grow with each other. If it wasn't for Carlos always being over her shoulder (it is his daughter and only family left so I can't blame him), episode 2 would have had a lot more Clem/Sarah interaction.
  • am i the only one who didnt teach her to shoot.
  • I didn't like her at first, but I didn't like any of the cabin crew at first (except Pete!). I still did the pinky swear though & warmed up to her in ep. 2.
