Yeah, the dilemma between choosing Luke and Kenny won't just be dropped so easily, it has a lot of potential for a big problem in the future and it really is an interesting thing... It's being given the choice between what you had and having a new beginning and the return of past main characters is basically begging for it.
I agree. I mean, to go through all the effort of making him come back and fight with Luke over Clem, and then to have him just DIE? That's the easy way out for Telltale and they never go easy.
1. Not everybody at Carver's camp will be assholes. If it's the same camp mentioned from 400 days that Bonnie went to [since hey she's there] then maybe we'll see other characters there too, and while Clementine is there she may get talking to a few or just see them in passing. That and while we're there we'll learn more about the cabin group's own back stories where maybe Carlos lost his wife when Sarah was young and was protective of his girl; that Rebecca had a fling with Carver; learn why Alvin killed George either in the escape or a fit of rage at the suggestion it wasn't his baby?; Sarita talking more about herself where she freakishly has a lot in common with Katjaa and where we learn the shocking truth about Luke...in that he once had a dog named Max, oh, and maybe he had a little sis or something but the dog gets the full limelight here.
2. It will suck there at the camp.
3. it will really, REALLY suck there, like being in an army/prison compacted into one hellish hellhole where there are duties and if you mess up or don't do something you get punished and put in the naughty corner.
4. Lilly being at the camp, I could see this as a possibility because of how she ran things at the Motor Inn back in Season 1. And if so, she might cause some conflict between her and Kenny who she will treat like shit for killing her dad, and depending how you were as Lee she’ll either talk nicely or badly about him.
5. Walter's 'Just help someone else down the line' to Bonnie will later come up where she'll wind up doing something to help the group or just Clementine, who she may or not befriend in this episode depending on how you approach her. And this selfless act might very well get her killed.
6. Carver manipulating Clementine. She’s new to the group and young, thus he might see her as someone easy to control in order to get her working as a loyal member of his community, that and make sure she follows his way of thinking by trying to paint the others in a bad light...yeah good luck with that buddy.
7. Luke trying to get the group out. I don’t see this guy just walking away and leaving them all to rot at Carver’s camp. Like a ninja he might sneak in during the cover of night, either to secretly meet with the group or just Clementine on her own if he’s not able to reach the others without being spotted. But whether talking to just Clementine or their group as a whole, the plan to cause a distraction to get everybody out while Carver and his men are busy could come up. With the names and pictures to the achievements, I’m guessing it’ll be something to do on attracting walkers with sound via some sirens usually used for something like bad weather that were there in the first place, and that nobody at Carver’s camp had taken down or removed when first setting up there. And then they would plan to escape stealing one of the vehicles or slipping out back unnoticed. Only problem is, they don’t count on the amount of walkers that show up or Carver catching them beforehand.
8. Clementine taking some walkie-talkies to help with this plan and doing some sneaking missions. It’s a risky thing to try, but Clementine did sneak around the cabin without the others knowing except for Sarah, and she handled herself well on the bridge, so Luke ‘probably’ might believe she would able to help because she is a little girl and they wouldn’t suspect her as much as someone like Carlos or Nick.
9. Carver could turn violent to try and get Clementine or the others to confess on what she’s/they’ve been up to and where the other walkie-talkie is or who has it [since Luke's a ninja elsewhere]. Regardless of whether or not Clementine confesses while he beats the crap out of her or the group or kills a few, Sarah eventually cracks like a walnut and ends up talking instead at the threat of her dad being killed.
10. I don’t see Nick, Alvin, Rebecca, Carlos or Sarita surviving this episode. I think it’s going to be a huge bloodbath and that a few characters from 400 days will wind up joining the group after everything comes apart at Carver’s camp, as follows:
-Nick getting munched by walkers in the herd and maybe dying when protecting Clementine or the others, while poor Luke will see his friend die [or mention that he found him as a walker when he died in the previous episode if you didn't stand up for Nick].
-Alvin gets shot because of killing George maybe; or he’ll be put down by a fed up Carver not wanting him getting in the way of Rebecca or his child ,which'll leave Rebecca a total emotional mess.
-Carlos maybe gets beaten to death by Carver or his throat cut like he threatened to in episode 2 o_o whatever the case, I don't see him living long.
-Sarita dies from Carver too or from a walker bite, that Kenny will blame Luke for it because they wouldn’t have been there if he and his group hadn’t shown up at the ski lodge, nor would Sarita have died if he hadn’t come back with a not-so-fool-proof escape plan.
-Rebecca going into labour at the worst possible time, and the baby being delivered to where maybe she lives long enough to hold her/him before Rebecca either dies from blood loss or during the walker attack. Or they do the really gross thing like in the tv series where they have to cut the baby out of her…ew o_o
11. Clementine gets to name the baby at some point [LEE! LEE! LEE! LEE! MAC LITTLE LEE JUNIOR!] because screw Carver, he’s an asshole and he don’t deserve to be a daddy or get dibs on naming rights.
12. If you taught Sarah how to use a gun, she’ll help you out during the walker attack or save you somehow.
13. Sarah will see her dad as a walker in the herd like how Clem saw her parents as walkers and she’ll have a mental breakdown.
14. Kenny’s mental state will also come apart after Sarita’s death, where he’ll get way too protective of Clementine, argue with Luke at every chance he gets…and start mumbling about boats.
15. Instead of “who do you sit with?” from the previous episode, we’ll have some cruel “who do you run to and help?” during the herd invading the camp while you’re surrounded by walkers, and depending on who Clementine and Sarah run to, the last stage of the episode will follow through to end with either Luke, Clementine and Sarah on their own, or Kenny, Clementine and Sarah. Whatever the team-up, they all later regroup in the next episode.
16. The ‘let’s splatter these guts on us so we can walk amongst the dead’ trick from the end of season 1 maybe coming into play again, which Clementine has a hard time convincing everybody, because only she and Lee were around to have figured it out before. Having a young girl saying to rub rotten guts on yourself doesn't sound like the best thing nor convincing thing in the world to an adult.
17. But most important of all on my calling it list, that Clementine gets to smash Carver’s face in with a crowbar and dance on his corpse like the sassy Clem she is.
I think the guy Carver is beating is definitely Troy.
One of the achievements for Episode 3 has a thumbnail of a walkie-talkie, and it st… moreates "Always the Quiet ones: Committed larceny." Who is quiet? Troy! He might help Clem find some walkie-talkies for an unknown reason and after he give you them, he gets murdered. "Long Way Down: Witness a murder."
Just grasping at straws here, but hey you never know.
I think Clem will use the walkie-talkie to contact Luke. Maybe Luke sneaks up to the camp, finds Clem, tells her that he has a plan to get them out, then tells her to get a walkie-talkie to communicate with him because it's too risky for him to hang around outside the camp. It could be a cool parallel to the walkie-talkie situation with the stranger in E1.
Carver will definitely find out, but maybe someone else will take the blame? This could tie into the "Always the Quiet Ones" achievement. My guess is Sarah. Maybe her covering for us depends on whether or not we pinky-swore, or if we took the blame for the photo.
Okay my 'Calling it' guesses:
1. Not everybody at Carver's camp will be assholes. If it's the same camp mentioned from 400 days that Bo… morennie went to [since hey she's there] then maybe we'll see other characters there too, and while Clementine is there she may get talking to a few or just see them in passing. 2. It will suck there at the camp.
3. it will really… [view original content]
Telltale like drama and hard decisions, a Kenny/Luke conflict would be best as there's so many fans for both, and both have huge potential to be great surrogate Lees for Clem, Telltale will not dispose of him as quickly as they did with Omid!
Yeah, the dilemma between choosing Luke and Kenny won't just be dropped so easily, it has a lot of potential for a big problem in the future… more and it really is an interesting thing... It's being given the choice between what you had and having a new beginning and the return of past main characters is basically begging for it.

I think Luke will be instrumental in helping them escape Carver.
I kind of hope that Nick and Alvin don't get killed in episode 3 by plot but by player action. One of the things that bugged me about season one was that if a character survived death in one episode, they would still be killed out before the end without having any changing impact on the story as a whole. Especially Doug/Carly - it didn't matter which one you saved they filled the exact same story role in episode 2 and 3. (I think the only difference is that there was the hint of a romance with Lee and Carly.) Ben had one minor shift in that he yells at Kenny. It kind of made saving those characters not mean much.
So far it looks like saving characters in this season has potential to give later events a different twist. I would be keen to see this season have a possibility where a character can be saved and stay saved for the season. Not everyone - it is The Walking Dead after all - but enough to mean that different players will end up with different people alive and dead in their games by the end.
Beyond that - I have no predictions. I'm excited by the comments from Telltale that depending on who joined the community in 400 days will change who does what during episode 3.

Deaths:
Alvin(if he's alive)- Besides his being a determinant character, with Rebecca having her baby this episode, it seems fitting.
Carlos- If Sarah is ever going to come out of her shell, hell need to bite the dust.
Troy- Just a random goon. But I can't help but like him.....
Rebecca- She will die durning childbirth
At least one 400 Days Protagonist- Maybe there will be a Carley/Doug like decision between two of them.
Zombies- No Shit
Lots of Carvers goons- Jailbreak!
Christa/Luke- I think that when the walkers come in, you will have to choose.
Sarita- Kenny is gonna snap!
