who wants more choices like this?

Like the one of saving Doug or Carley that was a hard one and there hasnt been any choice like that since sure there was the Pete and Nick one but Pete was practically death cause ob the bite (i still chosed Pete though) i think there should be more choices like these in the game.i dont really like to chosse if anyone lives or no but thats on the points of the game, to make hard descisions and see how the story plays out

I imagine we'll get one eventually, but I think it's difficult to not make a choice like this feel contrived.

I mean, most of the time it just depicts your character saving person A and then both of them standing with their feet nailed to the ground while person B dies.
  • Maybe it could be a bizarre one, where you can go to two places. You end up learning that there were members of your group at those locations and they are in trouble. You end up saving the one at the location where you went no matter what as the other person is far awaya and you don't know they are in trouble.
  • I actually prefer the Nick/Alvin choices. Where some people can die due to our actions rather than Carley/Doug which sometimes feel a little forced.
  • I'm on the fence. It's nice to have choices with legitimate consequences, but I also like when scenarios have no clear right or wrong answer.

  • Saving Doug or Carley was NOT a hard choice; as soon as I met Carley I knew what she would eventually mean to Lee and, vicariously, me. And anyway, Doug didn't seem that interesting... No offense, those-who-saved-Doug.
  • I can see us getting a Luke/Kenny. Imagine the forums if that happened!

Yeah, i would also like a choice where both options seem right ,and no matter what you choose you damage a lot of people

Whether to save Carley or Doug has been a difficult choice at times, but not for the reasons the game intends, I think. If I know I'll want the option to tell Clem and Kenny about my past (now is not the time for your next gripe, Kenny), I save Carley. If I want dialogue I find more natural and humorous, I save Doug. That's all it boils down to for me.

Plus, and I do really like Doug's character, but Carley just gets the better side of the deal by far. For Carley, you can spend time helping her solve the radio, talking with her in the office, and the motel rescue. For Doug, you can talk with him for a bit outside the store. Maybe if the interaction time or quality had been more equal, it would have been harder. But that's what it came down to on my first playthrough at least, when I didn't know better.

i saved doug first time around. ya carleys a good shot with her pistol but doesn't really matter when in episode 2 and 3 we all have rifles lol. plus doug made the group a security system so with just bell and string and it was pretty useful when the guys from st johns diary tried sneaking up on us. he seemed more useful but i wish i got carley so i could tell everyone my past because fuck that bit me in the ass when the lilly incident occurred.
