What are your sleeping patterns like?

So, what time do you guys usually go to sleep and for how long? For me basically when I don't have class or anything else the next day, it's a pretty good bet that I will go to sleep after 2am and as late as 6am. I usually sleep for 6-8 hours. I am typing this up at 3:45am, btw.

  • Same like you right now. There are some months where i completely destroy my sleep schedule and it goes to something like sleep at 10 am and wake up at 6pm. Really hard to fix.
  • 10am is pretty extreme. Besides the times I stayed awake for 24 hours straight, I don't think I've made it past 7am before. I joke around sometimes saying that with my fucked up sleeping schedule, I can easily adjust to any time zone I want. There may be some truth to that.

    I always wake up at 6. I love mornings, (even if I hate not being able to get more sleep) and I feel like I've wasted the entire day if I don't get up as early as possible. My bedtime depends, it's usually around 10 PM–1 AM. I only get 5-6 hours of sleep normally but I do take naps often, so that makes up for some of it.

    Back last summer my sleeping routine was really fucked up, I stayed up for 2 days straight once thanks to it. So I'm glad I've got things under control now.

    Long night shifts on past jobs, some diminished bipolar disorder and my recent constant restlessness due to injury (which, probably should mean me getting more sleep...) have since ruined any semblance of sleeping patterns I once had.

    I usually try to keep them somewhat normal when I'm working, but I've been confined to home for a while now.

    Depends. Sometimes I have a good night's sleep but there are nights where I can't go to sleep (or wake up at 2-3am and can't fall back to sleep). At those sleepless nights I might only have 1-4 hours of sleep.

    It used to be a big problem to me but now I probably consider it a normal thing.

  • I too have had nights where I can only sleep for less than 4 hours and sometimes literally no sleep at all while in bed all night. It's really annoying because I'd spent the rest of the day fighting to stay awake...even while standing in the bus or train! -_-

  • I usually lie in bed at about 11-1130pm. After watching an episode of Orphan Black, I put in my relaxation tape (30 minutes) and soon after I'm out for the count. Lately I've been going up at 630 or so. So I get 6 hours/9 hours if I go back to sleep. Its been good recently.

  • It's not great but could be worse i watch tv till about 12 fall asleep then get up at 6 for work gotta love them weekends tho :)

  • When ever I'm not working I tend to stay up all night till about 5 in the morning and then wake up about 2 in the afternoon. But before a work day I try to fix my pattern a little more to help me through my shift.

  • It changes a lot. At the moment I mostly go to sleep when I'm done with classes, which can be any time from 10 am to 5 pm, and sleep for 6-8 hours. Then I do everyday stuff during the night until it's time to go to uni again.
  • I'm all over the fucking place XD. Right now my pattern is sleep during the day, be awake during the night and early morning. My pattern keeps changing every few weeks. Example: I started out normal like 8am-10pm, then I shifted to 11am-1am, then to 2pm-5am, etc. Right now I'm around the time of waking up at 6pm and sleeping at around 9am. It'll change again eventually XD
