Good question. I don't know. Clementine probably really loved her father but we know Lee more then him so... jeez. I think that any of them could be as good for her. Maybe Lee could be even better then Ed because with him it could ended like with Carlos and Sarah.
We don't really know Ed at all, but Clem never really called Lee "dad" or mistook him for her dad at any point... Lee was just a friend to Clem, a very good caretaker.
Yeah, he was her guardian but in some way she saw him as father. Not real of course but I think that this relationship between those two was similiar to relation between parent and child. Not entirely but still, it was kind of similiar.

If it were up to clementine, she'd bring back Lee. Season 2 eleven year old clementine would bring back Lee.
Yeah, sure, old 8 year old Clem would've chosen the opposite. Hell, she did her very best to convince Lee spend more and more time to look for her parents.
But from season 1's episode 5 till season 2, I think it was clearly shown and illustrated that young clementine was more devastated by Lee's death and that slightly older Clem misses Lee more than her parents and is saddened more at the memory or mention of Lee than she is at that of her parents.
Hell, I might even go so far as to say that she might pick Lee over BOTH her parents. At first early on it looked like whatever Lee tried to do he couldn't replace her parents. But now, given what she shows, it actually looks like it's Clem's parents who can't replace Lee.
Lee, I would know FOR SURE that Lee would have protected Clementine 100%... I know nothing about ED and i would have no idea that if i brought ed back it would end up like a Carlos and Sarah which would get clem killed so i will go with what i am sure with and i would bring back Lee.
I don't know. We don't know a thing about Ed other than his death. We don't even get to HEAR him.
Also, I'm curious. What were Clem's parents doing in Savannah again? Was there a reason to not take her with them? I couldn't find anything about it. Maybe I'm close-minded, but I would never leave my 8-year old alone with a babysitter for more than one day. I mean, there are exceptions, but still...
Damn....This is a good question. I honestly would want to bring back Ed. I just think we had a full story with Lee, and it's time to move on from him and his story. Not that I didn't like Lee...but at the same time, Clementine might bring her guard down around Ed. We have no idea how he would react to this world if he lived. If it were up to me, I'd probably bring Lee back, because we know what lengths he'd go to protect Clem.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I liked Lee. A lot. I am just saying we don't know much about Ed other than Clem loved him, and that he was her father. Plus, in E5, when Clem says: "I saw my parents. It's so horrible...and now...you?" She had finally come to realize that Lee was sort of like a father to her, and that he was dying.
I don't know. By episode 5, I do think Clem had finally come to see Lee as a father. I'm not someone who believes that blood-family is by default closer than family that came from love and trust either, so I don't know.

Bringing Ed back would probably make Clem happier but I don't know how good of a survivor Ed would be and I'd imagine that he'd probably be really bummed out that his wife died (and was probably bitten by him). And bringing Lee back would help Clem deal with her guilt for causing his death so there's another bonus.
So actually I feel that Lee would be a better choice for Clem's overall well-being, even though it wouldn't be the one that she would choose. She'd be ecstatic either way, though. Good topic.

I'm biased, so probably Lee.
