I disagree, what got him killed was when Kenny over reacted and smashed Larry's head in with a salt lick. That caused Lilly to go insane and shoot Doug/Carly. Ben was just that catalyst but she would of went crazy for any other reason.
Not exactly. People still would be predators for other animals such as deer or rabits. The only difference is that they could be also haunted by the undead.

More people would survive more than you think, zombies are obviously slower than us we can outrun them easily, unless you're cornered, some of the people die in The Walking Dead because they just stay still (>.> Beatrice >.>Duck)
I bet some of the people on here that call Ben and Nick idiots would probably be like them if there was a real ZA. Fucking up and getting scared, hell i know i wouldn't be the perfect survivor.
It seems like the first two episodes were indirectly about nick, seems like they are building his character up for a reason. Maybe he will survive until episode 3, Or maybe he will end up the same way as Lee trying to protect Clementine or they could kill him dead in the next chapter. Who knows!
I like Nick because he reminds me of myself. I see a lot of myself in this character, because of things he has does and says. I would love to see some more Characters like Nate (400 days series) from the walking dead. I love this guy's outlook on life minus the murdering helpless old people of course. He does what he wants, he is nuts, and he is funny.

Seriously, though, if you are going to criticize Ben or Nick you're dead to me. Especially with no arguments. I could fill up 20 pages specifying exactly how brilliant they both are, but i am just too lazy right now.

well, if you save nick in episode 1, he will nearly sacrifice himself to get clementine to escape.. and ben left clementine to die in episode 4 so.. there is a huge difference
