How many times have you lied in the game?

So, in the game, are you often honest and true or are you often lying and keeping secrets from others? What's your motivation behind it?

When I played as Lee, I was actually quite honest. When I was given the option of telling the truth about his crimes, I told Clem, Kenny and others that I am on good note with. The one point where I kept a secret was when Lee got bitten.

As Clem, I am actually find myself keeping more secrets and wouldn't hesitate to lie. The prime example was when I had Clem lie to Walter about their involvement with Matthew's death.

    I lied a lot in 202 XD
  • I can only remember lying to Carver about who I am to protect myself and the group.
  • That awesome episode was a battle between honesty and secrecy xD

    I lied a lot in 202 XD

  • I always try to tell the truth if i'm meeting a good people. But I lied to Carver about group...
  • The only time I lied was with Carver when he asked me about the group

My Lee never lied. He never kept anything secret.

As with Clem. I don't lie either, but I often find myself avoiding to answer certain questions. Clem knows better than to trust everyone she meets. I was very hard with the cabin-group in EP1 for what they did to Clem. People have to earn her trust first before I let her open up to them. Once they've earned that, I don't hold back anything. For instance I told Nick right away who it was he shot an the bridge. I didn't have no reason to lie, yet. I think I might have to in Ep3, although I didn't even accept his apology for shooting at her.
  • How do I tell Hershel the truth?
  • I play basically the same way, good to meet someone who's on the same page as me.

Only time I lied was when Carver was in the cabin, but I kind of fucked up when I said I was alone. It was too intense i couldn't think :/

I can relate. It was hard to keep myself calm while talking to Carver and trying not to give anything away.

*I lied to Andy in ''Starved for Help'' when he came in the barn while I just witnessed their sickness. I told him that; ''Look, I just came in and found the door open like that.''

    * I half lied to Clementine in ''A New Day'' when she asked me about ''Who did you killed? A monster trying to eat you?'' I don't want to tell the truth to scaring her but on the other hand I don't want to tell a lie to her. So I picked ''It's complicated.''

    * I lied to The Stranger about the weapon situation in ''No Time Left''. I told him that ''I don't have anything on me. You don't believe me?! Go ahead search me!''

    * I only lied to Vernon in ''Around Every Corner'' when he asked me about Clementine ''Is she your daughter?'' I wanted to tell him the truth but the bond I had with Clementine in Season One forced me to pick ''Yes.''

    * I lied to Carver in ''A House Divided'' A LOT! For protecting myself and my Cabin Gang. (I told him a most logical lie ''We have a big group LOTS!'' Also when he asked me about ''Have you seen these people I told you?'' I picked ''I haven't seen them.'' When he asked me ''I thought you said nobody's here?!'' I picked ''Nobody IS here!'' And when he gave me Sarah's photo I took, I just picked [TAKE PHOTO] option and thanks to Clementine she said ''Never seen her before.'' Then ''I don't know what you're talking about.'' and ''What's your point?'' for not giving him a peek about that I'm with the Cabin Gang.)

    * I'm not sure if that counts as a lie but in "Starved For Help" I told the St. John's Brothers that ''We work as a group. All of us looking out for each other.''

    * This one is probably my most idotic lie ever! When Clementine asked me about ''What's happening?'' about Duck's situation in ''Long Road Ahead'' I picked ''Nothing, everything is fine.'' I knew that situation is fucked up but I don't know. When it comes to Clementine, I guess I tried to keep her away from the world as long as I can. (Thank you Chuck for stoping me becoming a Carlos)

    * I lied to Carley in ''A New Day'' about ''Did you tell anyone out there who you were or that you're tied to this place?'' I picked ''No.''(Because the other respones are so aggresive.) even I told Boat Family about ''My Family owned this place.'' (If you talk Lilly before talking to Kenny and when you talking to Kenny, after picking ''What's the plan?'' pick ''They owned this place.'' option, Lee will say ''They pulled couple of bodies out of the office before we got here.'' before saying ''They're gone.'')
  • I was shaking, I wanted to grab the knife so bad during the talk with carver ._.

I can relate. It was hard to keep myself calm while talking to Carver and trying not to give anything away.

  • I was thinking about doing that as well, but I feared for Clem's safety.

  • Yeah, I m going to do that as well. Actually, when Carver found Sarah's photo, I dropped the secrecy and openly and bravely admit Clem's association with the Cabin group. I was like, screw it, he knows, no more denying it, face him head on.

  • Man, the duck situation was tough to decide. I tried to be gentle and said that I was "going to take care of him" and Clementine replied "oh, but I thought he was dying." Then Lee had to explain what he meant. One of the saddest lines in the game.

  • I just avoided all questions about the Cabin group. I didn't feel like entertaining him.
To be honest, I'm excited to have another chat with Carver to see what he'll say.

I am really honest with both characters, Lee and Clementine. Except at the St. Johns, I didn't trust those fuckers at all.
  • That... That is so, so, so SAD! T_T

I miss season 1 Clem... Her innocence was refreshing and kind of beautiful...

You're not the only one feels that way and misses Season One Clementine even they are the same person.

  • I agree on that. Carver is violent yes, but it is pretty clear that he is intelligent as well. I would like to hear about his view on the Apocalypse.

  • I think I just lied to Carver about Sarah not being in the house. Not that I had the option to tell him but I wouldn't have done anyway.
  • i lied ONCE as lee and i made clem cry
and felt horrible after that >_<

probably the best thing about season 2 is you have to lie at times
so when carver came to the cabin i lied my ass off.
  • "I'll miss you.." - Lee

I just keep remembering those words, just so sad...

  • I tried not to but when Carver came rolling in in S2E2 I kind of had to
  • Even though I prefer being honest, I lied to Clem in season 1, telling her that we'll find her parents even though I knew they were dead. And of course I lied to Carver to protect the group. Also I don't know if it counts as lying but I've avoided certain questions or given vague answers a few times.
  • I think we often have a good reason to lie in the game. I lie to Clem about finding her parents, but I did it because I don't want to hurt her feelings and I lied to Walter to protect Nick because I care about his safety.

  • My Lee hardly lied, I think the most was in Episode 1 (to Hershel, by accident) - and one time in episode 4, when I told Christa we didn't tell her about the walkie talkie because we didn't know. In 400 days, though, I lied to Leland as Bonnie about Dee.

Playing as Clem I've been trying to stick to her being an honest and kind-hearted person, but sometimes that's heard when I'm making split-second decisions based on fear. My first reaction to the Walter situation was to lie to him, despite having just told Luke we should tell him - I guess the knife spooked me a little. That's the one decision I really regret though, that I couldn't be brave enough to just tell the truth (when he clearly already knew anyway.)
  • My Lee was straight-up with people, and now my Clem is straight-up with people.
  • Zero. I have been rude or sassy before but i've never lied.
  • lol! Honest Sassy Clem! :D
