How they handled Matthew *SPOILERS EP. 2

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
I didn't love the way the rest of the group handled Nick killing Matthew. Luke just yelled at Nick that "the shot could be heard for miles" and the rest of the group just sort of shrugged it off. No one said "hey, why did you kill a random, friendly stranger?"

Then later, Luke even tells Nick to "try to stop thinking about it." I'd rather he'd say "Listen man, you did something really rash and stupid. I realize you thought we were in danger but you can't just be so irresponsible with your weapon. The guy had his gun down at his waist!"

Also, thought the dog was a bit far-fetched.

  • I bet Walter handled Matthew a lot.
  • ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I bet Walter handled Matthew a lot.

  • Doubt it. Walter was clearly the one with love-handles.

I bet Walter handled Matthew a lot.

  • They probably didn't talk about it afterward because they all know Nick is in a real bad mental place right now, (Shot his mom before she turned and watched/saw his uncle Pete die) and they probably don't want to stress him any more.
  • I agree with the dog part especially since I had the intentions of feeding the fucking thing.
  • I guess that two years into the apocalypse they've sort of just developed a mindset where they think 'No use dwelling on it, might as well move on.'

They probably felt the same with Pete's body. They couldn't bring him back so they just got on with it.
  • I don't know. I have a little 12 pound dog, but he's still extremely food-aggressive. Hence the expression "a dog with a bone."
