Did you lie for Alvin?

Did you give Alvin the food for Rebecca?

Comments

  • Nope, this sort of stuff you can't pull in a group, and it is obviously not for Rebecca but for himself.
  • That's rather cynical...

  • I chose to give it to Rebecca. I mean, he lied for me and gave me bandages and a juice box so why not :P
  • Of course I did. Rebecca is pregnant and I'm pretty sure Alvin wouldn't eat it himself. He doesn't seem like a selfish guy.
  • I thought he just wanted to keep the food for himself, so I said no. Even if I'd realized he meant it should be for Rebecca, I still would have said no. The entire group should get to decide who gets what, not just Alvin.
  • I gave it, even if he kept it for him self, he did know us barely and gave us the holy Juice Box!

o yea thats tru like he gave you juicy and bandages if you talked to him so i returned the favor even if he did save it for himself.

    big boi gotta eat
  • No, because it's just wrong

I don't even think he would have kept it for himself, but it's still totally not right. The whole group should decide.

Also, the ones who needed the food most (other than pregnant Rebecca) were Sarah and Clementine

Fatty Alvin would have survived a little longer without food, but Clem and Sarah are both kids. He shouldn't have been so selfish
  • I did, simply because I'm not a very confrontational person and I figured one can wasn't going to hurt anyone. Plus I trusted that he really did mean for it to be for Rebecca.

I think I trusted him a lot more knowing that he has the option of helping you out in Episode 1 if you ask him, even though I didn't get that option in my own game.
  • When he asked, I thought back to Clem telling him that she would do whatever she could to repay him. A deal is a deal, so yeah, I allowed him to take it.
  • Yeah, can't blame the guy for looking out for his family. It's not like one can of peaches is gonna make a big difference anyway.

I kept silent. I didn't want to outright deny his request. I just wanted let him know that I wasn't comfortable doing this.

I also didn't see why he felt like he needed to be all surreptitious about it. If he asked, I'm sure the group would have let Rebecca have most of it. Carlos would probably want some for Sarah, but I think the rest would have been okay with prioritizing the pregnant woman's needs ...even if she is a bitch.
  • He's not even the father of Rebecca's child , Hard to call this a family.

  • I told him that the group should decide, since he shouldn't be putting that onto an 11 year old girl
  • I didn't lie no because I didn't think it was right for Alvin to ask a child such a question. The whole group should decide and my Clem is honest. She was honest with Sarah. The only one she's lied to so far is Carver.
  • That's a really interesting compromise. I never chose that option, even on my mostly silent playthrough (I usually replied when people asked Clem a direct question.)

  • I thought the "I won't lie for you" reply would be more of a "if they ask I won't lie, but you can have it" and less of what it was, so I chose it. I felt bad afterwards; I didn't want to be mean for Alvin considering he helped Clem out in EP1.
  • Actually, we do. If you ask Rebecca who's baby it is in episode 1, she tells you straight up that she KNOWS it's Carver's in episode 2 because her and Alvin had been trying for a very long time then she fucked Carver and OOH IM PREGGERZ.

  • A stepfather is still a father nonetheless. Family is who cares about you, not who's related to you.

  • No. I didn't get juicebox in episode 1, and the whole 'Clem, do everything!' situation was troubling me. Clem's like 11 pull your own weight ffs.
  • I said the whole group should decide. I was pretty sure they would say yes, but it would prevent the possible drama that could happen if we didn't tell them. Kind of like the situation where Kenny gets angry at you if he learns that you are a murderer from Lilly, but if you tell him he's ok with it because you didn't hide it from him.
  • I did. I thought it was a fair trade-off for giving Clem a bandage and the juicebox in EP1. Alvin technically stole from his group for a stranger. And I don't think Alvin is the type of guy to take food for himself, so I trusted him.
  • I told Alvin I'd remember he helped me, when he gave Clem the juicebox and bandage. The peaches for Rebecca was a great way to repay that kindness, and it didn't turn into a big deal so I don't regret it.
  • I told him to talk to the group about it.

I told Alvin the group should decide, where then they could've decided if to agree with it or given Rebecca a little more than everyone else. At least that's how I thought of it when I made up my mind.

Keeping a whole can though? Nope. There's seven people in their group, two of them young kids/teens. Give extra for the pregnant lady sure, maybe even half a can if she's not feeling well, but not one whole can of the only two cans of food on them. And Clem might be bright for her age but she's still a kid. For Alvin to go and try to convince her to hand over a can instead of asking in front of the adults seemed like trying to take peaches from a baby.
