How would you react if... your Alvin died in episode 2 and that outcome would make the baby Alvin's, and that would cause Carver to become seriously mad. Or if your Alvin lived in episode 2 it would make the baby Carver's and there would be some more tension between Alvin and Carver

  • That would be so confusing and unnecessary lol
  • Unnecessary? That would change everyone's story! We need more different paths.

  • Damn, the dislike trolls .-.
  • How does this even make remotly sense?

    .....
  • That wouldn't make sense cus how can having someone live change the baby's dad. Most choices with determinant characters just have 1 person live and the other die.
  • Different paths would be different choices being made. We all have the same ending anyway so it wouldn't matter

  • I'm kind of hoping it's Alvin's either way, because I get the feeling Rebecca isn't going to live through it and it would be so incredibly...bittersweet if the last thing she saw was a baby with features that just screamed 'Alvin' before death.
  • I'm just saying it would create more drama and cause anger to Carver or Alvin.

  • It was confirmed by Alvin's VA it's Carver's child
  • It would be kind of immersion breaking. I hate it when something like that happens, the choice should only affect things it would make sense to affect, not change other stuff in the game that are technically completely unrelated to that choice.
  • Morbo: PATERNITY DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! GOOD NIGHT!
  • It would change too many variables. It would completely change the way Carver and Rebecca act and interact. If the baby was Alvin's, Carver would be furious, probably violent. If it turns out to be Carver's, Rebecca would be really conflicted, maybe to the point of being resentful toward the baby (that would be so sad).
  • I agree

  • I don't care who's baby is who's, Clementine is the only reason why I follow TWD.
  • I don't know. Clementine feels less... "special". I'm not saying I don't like her, trust me I do, but you don't get to take care of her and worry about her like in season 1.

  • ...That's not how that kind of stuff works, and it would be ridiculous if that were the case.
  • How?

  • Because Alvin being alive or dead would not magically change whose baby it is. Science does not work that way, and it would just be dumb and, as someone said above, "immersion breaking" if that were the case.

  • I see what you're going for, but the TellTale writers dont go that in depth, they complain already about writing determinate characters, interesting thought tho!
  • Thanks, apparently you're the only one that gets it.

  • I'm all for complicated storylines, maybe Telltale can attempt something like that in the future! :D

  • Yeah, but apparently people only care how a person dying doesn't affect a baby's gender.

  • Would the kid just decide to become Carver's if Alvin were alive? I'm fairly certain that's not how it goes.
  • No, the game would decide.

  • Guys, of course babies don't work like that. But the game would change if the baby is Alvin's or Carver's.

We're not against you, dude. A lot of people just think it would be incredibly unrealistic. I know the game is about zombies, which is already unrealistic, but Telltale, besides zombies, tries to make the episodes as realistic as possible. I personally think it would break immersion and, to be honest, I think it would kind of ruin the game for me....
