from what ive seen carver isnt THAT bad a guy, i mean if you chose to surrender you will hear him say this to alvin "Hi, Alvin. Do you remember George, Alvin? You see, I do. I remember a guy that was your friend named George. I remember when you murdered him in cold blood. And why? Because you didn't like me? You could have lodged a complaint. You could have been civil.", Rebecca also mentions that if alvin finds out its not his baby he will murder her. and to top it off in the new clip on the playing dead, the new character says that despite what Clem may have seen or heard, Carvers camp is not actually as bad as it seems

  • I think Carver's pretty bad still though. I mean he BEATS THE SHIT out of somebody with a WALKIE TALKIE in the screenshot! He's absolutely Bonkers! And also the guy in the interview said the camp isn't as bad as we think because Carver actually doesn't hate the people in the camp. Whereas he HATES the group.

  • carver spit in my cereal
    DONT STICK UP FOR HIM
  • Carver has murdered multiple people in cold blood and tortured a man in front of his own daughter and is so allegedly heinous that a group of seven people, six of which were adults, were terrified of him and hellbent on getting as far away as possible but yeah no he's chill.

  • Just to be a contrarian, I haven't seen it so I'm no sure, but I'm pretty sure 24 glorifies torture by the protagonist. Then there's Taken. Nowadays there are a lot more 'good guys' who decide to rip out other people's fingernails.

That said, I see Carver more as a machiavel then a bad guy.

  • I've had the option to ask for a cigarette from Pete, it's possible for me to drink whiskey with Nick, so by God I won't rest until Telltale lets me get baked off my ass with Carver.

I disagree, he is a fucking PSYCHOPATH, but he's good s character.
  • Just because Alvin may be bad doesn't maen that Carver isn't. We've SEEN Carver do bad things, while the same can't be said for Alvin.
  • I kind of agree with you to a point. He is right about some things, one thing he did say was " How can you trust someone when they won't trust you back. " I agree with this, and i never really trusted the new "group."

Clementine doesn't have anything to do with Carter but the new group decided to take Clementine with them, to involve her in their drama. Now she is in this situation and she is pretty much the outsider from both sides. In my opinion they should of never let Clementine get involved in this situation.

  • Sorry, but as much as I appreciate Carver as an interesting antagonist, you cannot dispute the fact that he is a bad person. Torturing someone and killing in cold blood does simply not make you morally good. I hate to be so black-and-white, but that's really the bottom line.

Carver is extremely smart with fantastic strategy skills, to the point where he can merely glance at a chessboard and predict the final outcome. His line "If they don't trust you, how can you trust them?" is a legitimate piece of advice, but I think he said it to implant mistrust of the cabin group in Clem's mind, i.e. manipulating her. The cabin group may not be entirely reliable, but still, I'd trust them any day over Carver.

I'm sure his camp is safe and well-fortified. It's Carver himself that is the problem. His proclivity for violence, ruthlessness, and severe punishment is probably what drove the cabin group away. Also, I'm pretty sure Rebecca wasn't being serious when she said he would kill her, and for the time being I would take Carver's words on the Alvin-George situation with a grain of salt. We don't know what actually happened or why Alvin would do something like that, and Carver isn't a reliable narrator.
  • Yeah and then determinantly punched her and hold a gun at her. Yeah thats realy nice of him...
