Wow, even the CDC can't find out anything

THE UNITED STATES CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL with all their knowledge and tech were unable to figure out something as simple as the agent through which the disease is spread. Even as much as saying if it were viral or bacterial or otherwise should be a relatively simple task, even for as much as a pre-med student with some basic hospital equipment.

Thing that makes me angry is that...THE CDC, THE FUCKIN' CDC CANNOT FIND A CURE TO THE OUTBREAK IN TWD (only in the show, obviously)

I think it's pretty obvious Jenners and the CDC were hiding something.

Not marking as spoilers since the season has been out for a good while.

  • I'm guessing you are talking about the TV Show. It's The Walking Dead Universe, remember? Kirkman has rules for it. No cure, no hope, etc.
  • In the end, this is all just story. We need to give some things a wink and not try to apply hyperrealism to a fictional world.
  • As far as we know, it could be a completely new type of organism that makes fat-cells oxidate and creates some kind of system that delivers the energy to the brain without the need of blood. Also, this organism seems to protect the corpse from rotting to fast.

Finding a cure takes a lot of time, sometimes months, and the outbreak took hold within weeks. You need to find out what caused the disease, where it came from, how it is structured, and so on before you can find a way to fight it with a vaccine. France was on the verge of a cure, if I am correct. Or vaccine, pick your poison.
  • That's not what your mom said.

  • This, and also it depends on whether electricy factories can be maintained and protected by the military or not.

  • Yes, I did say the TV show.

Yeah, true. I just am being silly / made this for the fun and/or lulz mainly.

  • Still would like it to be somewhat real, but it's Kirkman and it'll never happen.

  • I remember reading that somewhere before too about France almost finding a cure.
