Nick or Sarah ?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
Hi! I am new to the forum ( though I was lurking for a long time ) and I apologize in advance if there already is a discussion about that, but I thought it would be interesting to see who would you save in that situation.
Now, I know there is almost no chance for that to happen but just imagine:

Carver's camp is overrun by walkers. Clementine is alone, separated from the group in that chaos. Suddenly, she hears a scream. It's Sarah! She is trapped by a walker in a corner. She doesn't know what to do, so she begins to "cease to function". As Clem heads towards Sarah, she hears another scream. This time, it's Nick. He took a lost bullet in the shoulder and is now on the floor. He tries to get up, but a walker attacks him.
Sarah is trapped without any chance to escape and Nick won't manage to keep that walker away with only one valid arm. Who will you save?

Will you break the pinky swear or your promise to Uncle Pete?

Whoever you choose to save will live until Episode 5.

P.S: Sorry for my bad english.

  • WOW! THAT is a hard one... Congrats for getting my gears grinding.

    Umm...

    OH GOD.

A pinky swear is forever, it's sacred, and it's the only way of getting my bro to not do shit and you can't ever break it...

But my promise to uncle Pete, i PROMISED, and it was his last wish, and you can't just ignore a dying man's last wish!

    AAAGGGGH.

    (Azlyn.Exe has stopped working)
  • I don't make promises i can't keep, that is how you get into trouble.
  • I didn't pinkie swear with Sarah, and I didn't promise Pete anything because I went with Nick. So I don't owe anybody anything.

    I'd probably save Nick.

  • I'd probably save Sarah, because you know, she is just a child. But I would take a crap load of time before taking any decisions.

  • I'd save Nick, I didn't promise Pete anything, but man, that drink that Nick and I share, I will never forget that moment.
  • It was a powerful moment, indeed.

  • Yeah and I kinda ove it to Nick, in my other playthrough I promised Pete to take care of Nick, let's just say I took "care" of him.

First off, welcome to the forum!! As for the question, I am afraid I will have to brake the pinky promise. Uncle Pete's last wish was for me to protect Nick. If I can't save him, I will feel like a horrible person in the game and in real life. I will protect Nick no matter what. I value my friendship with Sarah and would risk my life for her without hesitation. But a mans last wishes ring truer than a 15 year olds "Pinky Promise." Now, before anyone criticizes me for not saving a kid, I am a kid. Sarah is actually older than me. I'm only 13. Age doesn't matter in this world. Like Chuck said, "Your not a boy, your not a girl, you ain't strong, or smart, your alive."
  • Now THAT is a tough decision. I don't know... Maybe Sarah.
  • Thank you!
Your answer made me think. I was saying to myself that saving sarah was the better option because she is a child but you have a very good point there!

  • What's up with the people wanting to save Nick? Why would you save him? To KILL more people?! Sarah is innocent and she cares about Clem. When she found the group, no one apart from Pete and Sarah treated her nice!

Well, Nick apologized, I think he cares for Clem and he feels bad for "being a dick out there". He might screw up a little but he is not a bad guy.

  • People take the "Ben 2.0" thing with Nick way too seriously.... I think Nick is one of the, if not the most interesting character from the cabin group.

While I also like Sarah, despite the fact she ins't really popular either , I don't really know who I'll save.... But I'm inclined towards Sarah for the most part.

  • Wait, I thought Clementine was 11?

  • That is true. I really like Nick, he is indeed the most developed character in this season ( excluding Kenny of course) and my favorite so far. People should give him some more credits. I am sure in most of the situations Ben was in, Nick would have handled it better than him.

  • She is, Sarah is 15, I am 13.

If you want to see things like that, it would also mean that Kenny is no better than Nick. I mean he droped that saltlick on Larry even though he began to breath again. But he did it because he saw Larry as a potential danger, exactly like Nick saw Mathew as a danger for Luke and Clem. At least, Nick didn't snap like Lily did.

  • I dont like Kenny.

  • Ooooh that's tough. I promised Pete and pinky swore with Sarah (eventually xD)
On one hand Nick almost shot us and shot an innocent man in trying to protect us. He has no family left but I promised Pete I'd look after him and Pete saved my life.
On the other hand Sarah is only a little older than Clem, I think she can learn alot from Clem (not to mention it would be nice for Clem to have a friend close to her own age) and Carlos would have a field day if anything happened to her.

    Unless this is an actual choice I have to make, I honestly don't know. Will have to cross that bridge if and when it comes to it. ^^;
  • Nick is determinant, but this is really hard to decide, I didn't see enough of Sarah even though we're besties and Nick reminds me of myself....
