About Troy...

So, everyone wants Troy dead because he hit Clementine in a scene we no nothing about. Seems reasonable. People talk about "I don't want her to lose her innocence", and then chant "death to Troy." Don't be a hypocrite. You're not protecting her by slaying anyone who gives her a dirty look. You're further pushing her into that territory.

  • But in a way TROY could be pushing her into that territory too, we don't know yet, #fucktroy
  • I still don't like troy. You don't hit a kid.
  • Especially a little girl, with a frickin ak 47

  • There's a difference between defending her and just slaying someone, I wouldn't kill him but I'd beat him shitless, in Clem's defense, not to push her further into anything, but in her defense and in intention to protect her and to not let someone get away with nailing a little child in the face.
  • There's alot of thing you don't do. Like murder a man who has his gun lowered and is no immediate threat. Or lock a girl in a shed who is obviously bleeding out. Yet the VAST majority of people like Nick and Carlos. So, all I'm saying is don't throw someone under the bus who isn't even on the bus yet.

  • I got an idea on how to make Troy a fan favorite. Replace Clementine in that scene with Becca.
  • When people say "death to Troy" I'm pretty sure they mean for someone else to kill him, like Kenny or walkers. So people still don't want Clem to lose her innocence.
  • It doesn't matter, they want Clem to be protected by assuring everyone who even touches her dies a bitter and painful death. Thats fucked up.

  • I never said "I don't want Clem to lose her innocence"... she already lost that... and I don't see how Clem getting hit connects with her losing her innocence and Troy dying and shit. I don't care what Clem did, there were different ways for Troy to stop her, even pushing her would have done something, Troy is a full grown men. Full grown men are assholes if they hit a kid like that.
  • Well Nick is an asshole and Carlos did what anyone would do...well, I liked Carlos until I went back and played the kitchen scene where you can spy on all of their dialogue. You learn that Clem could have died without medical attention immediately, and Luke and Pete were the only ones who were trying to think of ways to save her. Fuck Carlos. Fuck Nick. Fuck Alvin. Fuck Rebecca.

  • Getting hit doesn't make her lose anything is the point. "Full grown men are assholes if they hit a kid like that", this isn't Disneyland, nor season 1. Season 2 already has more morally ambiguous characters than the whole of season 1. Meaning characters are going to do things that seem questionable. And you know something? I don't trust nor like anyone from the cabin group, they have far too many secrets attached to them.

I wonder if the time between season 1 and season 2 wasn't enough to lose her innocence. Or if the 3 timeskips during Season 2 wasn't enough.
(more directed to the "She's innocent" crowd)
  • I am getting bad vibes from some of the post in this thread lmao.
  • There's still people that cling to notion oddly enough.

  • What do you mean?

  • Getting hit does hurt her. The point that his intentions were to hurt her is what I have a problem with. He needs to be stopped and that's the point. Also, yes, I don't trust the cabin group either except for Luke and I did trust Pete, but we all know what happened to him...

  • Man, if what happens from Ep 3 to Ep 5 wasn't enough, I dont know what is. How many characters Clem liked died during that span of time? Not to mention the entire stranger incident and her parents.

  • Fair enough. I can't argue with that, he did hurt her. I'm simply recommending we all wait before marking his death before the episode even comes out.

  • I'm just gonna copypast a comment that I did in the other discussion "When they put this type of scenes in the game is to people react to it. If you just keep thinking that the characters have always a good reason for what they did then you won't enjoy the game as much as other people did."
  • You do have a good point there. Maybe it just made sense for him to do that, although I doubt it. Either way, it will be a damn powerful scene.

  • The problem with not having a motive is that the character doing the action may look stupid or look like a sociopath. When someone fucks up or does some crazy shit, they usually have a reason to do so. The reason doesn't need to be good though.

I couldn't agree more with the creator of this thread. Give me all the dislikes in the world, that won't stop me (and i hope also alot of other persons) from saying their own personal opinions.

Troy is definitely a shitbird (hell, maybe even a bigger one than Ben, but we don't know that yet) and he did hurt Clementine, which is a terrible thing obviously! But most of the people on this Forum are clearly overreacting!

But anyway, this community shouldn't worry to much about it. Karma is a funny thing, in the world of The Walking Dead! " Go on! You don't need to see this! "
  • Yeah but in this scene people want him to have a good reason to hit Clem, if you understand me.
