Will Nick die in Episode 3?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
Now, I think Alvin will die for sure- it's obvious that he'll get tortured or be killed, however Nick seems to have been accepted into the "fold" in terms of the preview, but he's not seen in the trailer. So, my question you all is, do you think he'll make it through episode three and we'll see TT's story branching come into play, or do you think he'll die in the episode due to his determent status, I love him as a character so I hope he doesn't die. Maybe they just phased him out of the trailer, like they did to Bonnie, Troy and Johnny in the scene where Carver's walking toward the Skii Loge.

Comments

  • TT removed the determinant people from the trailer, I think that he'll at least make it to EP4
  • Unfortunately, he'll most likely die :(
  • Carley/Doug survived two episodes as a determinant, why can't Nick do that?

  • I'm not really sure. I agree that Alvin will probably die during EP3, but I hope Nick at least makes it to EP4.
  • I think one of them will die this episode and one will live. Makes sense.
  • Until he don't apologize Clementine for trying to make her drink whiskey, he won't die. I guess he will live forever :D (this comment didn't make any sense)
  • I hope not. I have some hope he'll break the determinant character tradition though.
  • Because Carley/Doug was a decision, and it was clearly made by the players. It was a choice you directly made and a choice you had to live with, but of course I may be wrong.

Carley/Doug survived two episodes as a determinant, why can't Nick do that?

doubt it. the only safe assumption for nick specifically is that you could either let him die or save him in every episode. It WAS pete's dying wish, so I doubt telltale would kill him just like that. Now alvin, he's a different story.

but don't expect much for nick if he does live off all the remaining episodes since he wouldn't be the star.
  • Nick will die, Do I want him to die? No
Chance's are if you saved Nick in episode 2 he will repay Clem for saving his arse and go out a heroic death
  • Same here. It's a long shot, but I'm still hoping for it just the same. Nick and Pete are my two favorites out of the cabin group, already lost Pete, would hate to lose Nick too.

I hope not. I have some hope he'll break the determinant character tradition though.

  • Nick is already dead for me, but it would be nice if he has chance to survive if we save him.

Naw, I hope Telltale surprises us, and actually makes a determinant character who'll actually affect the story 'til the end. That would put an end to all that "Telltale is so predictable!!" yadda yadda. It's not like they don't have the resources to do that this time around, with how successful they are now.

How cool would it be if based on our choices, we could keep Nick alive 'til EP 5? He has a lot of potential for character development.

    And he's funny, too!

Maybe we'll have to save him again on EP3, or something. I think I recall a tweet from a staff member who said we'll get to know a lot more backstory of Nick and Luke in this EP.

Nick has the opportunity to be saved twice, I think this will be the final episode to save him then he dies in EP4, third times the charm
  • I wish determinant characters wouldn't always die so quickly after you save their lives.Like if Nick makes it to Season 3.It just sucks because if he dies in ep.3 or 4 I wouldn't be surprised because determinant characters always die quickly.
