Different endings?!?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
At the end of episode 5 does anyone like the idea of the choices you make throughout the episode change the ending? Like there can be a depressing ending, a strange ending, a sad ending, a epic ending, and a bitter sweet ending, depending on your choices. (Keep in mind twd wouldn't have a happy ending)

THESE ARE JUST EXAMPLES NOT EVEN THEORIES OF WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN.

The depressing ending - After escaping carver and the camp the group heads towards Wellington, but they are being followed by carver. Near the end of episode 5 carver ambushes the group killing Luke, Kenny, Sarah, and every character but clementine. They take clementine back to the camp, and when she isn't seen she climbs up a building crying with flash backs of when she first met lee. She stands on the edge of the building and jumps off and then the credits roll.

The strange ending (plot twist) - while the group makes its way to Wellington, after killing carver. They are following a map, clementine is still desperate to find christa but she is not seen. Kenny reveals that the reason Luke and nick did know about Wellington is because it's not real. It was partly so Clem didn't leave Kenny and go with Luke, and christa was in on it the entire time. Wellington was just a fake location made up by Kenny so she didn't leave to go with Luke and his crew. and christa was in one it the whole time Kenny and christa made it so in season one where the group could go if they were separated. After telling clementine and we choose what to say. After wards the ground begins to rumble as there is a bad earthquake in which clementine gives up all hope. Minutes after, A horde of zombies in the distance seems to have stopped walking, clementine and the group run up to it to see most of the zombies hit there heads on the ground in the earthquake, destroying there brains. As clementine stands in front of the dead horde, the credits roll. (Sorry I can't find really nice way to end this one)

The sad ending - the group is ambushed by caver this ambushed was planned out. As a smaller bomb on the roof is dropped by carver Luke and Kenny and Sarah are right under the bomb it's too late to tell them to move, and if you did there guns wouldn't be ready to be fire and they'd be shot. The bomb is falling on top of them and will explode in 1 second ( the scene is in slow motion) . Clementine is near the bomb. There is a choice, if we run away from the bomb we manage to push one out of the way but the other two die. Or we can grab it and die ourselves. In the end if you die Kenny or Luke (or both) walk up to carver on the ground, he was shot a couple times. They will aim the gun at carvers head and say "You will never mess with Clementine again" as tears stream down there cheeks and the credits will roll as a gunshot sound goes off. If we live clementine will go up to carver and say "I'm NOT going back to your prison camp" and kick him off the roof he was on.

The epic ending - as the group ambushes them and takes everyone hostage, carver grabs Sarah and shoots her in the leg. Saying if anyone moves this will happen to them. After being taught self defense by clementine Sarah manages to push her other leg and hit carvers leg with force. This trips carver and Sarah grabs carvers gun and shoots him in the back. He then grabs Sarah wound and squeezes it and the other bandits aim there guns at Sarah. We go through this slow motion bad ass action scene were we kill the bandits with Sarah killing carver and the rest of the members. After the scene ends the remaining group walks down a road covered in blood. Clementine sees a figure in the distance that is running towards her, christa. Covered in blood christa and clementine hug, after clementine looks down she sees a bit mark on Christa's leg. Clementine looks up at christa and christa sadly nods. Clementine grabs her and hugs her even tighter and the credits roll. (The ending scene isn't that short more like a minute or two long)

The bittersweet ending - after killing carver (same as the strange ending)
The group finds a gas station and takes fuel thats in the back of a car, to get them to Wellington. The car drives down the road suddenly there is a huge horde of zombies heading towards them. They try to drive through the horde but the front windows break and grab Luke and Kenny who are in the front, we have to make a choice to save one, if we save Kenny someone else saves Luke and vise versa but in the process we and bitten in the leg. It is shortly cut off later after managing to drive away. They sleep in the large car and clem wakes up in the middle of the night with a fever. She is scared at first, wanting to know if it was too late. But she sees Luke and Kenny in the front sleeping safely. And she looks at them and smiles, going back to sleep, knowing if the bite spread already, it would be too late. The credits roll.

  • I like this idea.

But, as someone kindly pointed out to me, it might be challenging for everyone to have such different endings...

I don't really believe that. Heavy Rain did it. Why not TellTale Games?
  • This could actually be possible if there isn't a season 3. Having so many choices would make season 3 a pain in the ass to make. But if this is the last season that would make for a great ending.
  • As long as it's no ''Mass Effect controversy'' I'll be good.

  • Even if Season 3 is made if they focus on different characters entirely it wouldn't be so hard to do it. I think for Season 3 we will have a continuation though and come on.....we'll get a 3rd season. So no sadly I don't think we'll have different endings.

  • No, unless it requires you to complete the game at least twice before getting any other ending than the real ending. The reason why I don't like multiple endings in games is because too many people will start to argue about which one is the real ending.
  • I think Telltale would have to be deliberately trying to make it as controversial as possible to stir up that kind of shitstorm.

On that note..destroy the zombies, control the zombies, or make everyone a zombie? The choice is yours Clementine. :S

As long as it's no ''Mass Effect controversy'' I'll be good.

    Eh, fair point.

    But inFAMOUS does.

  • hmmm..now that I think about it I believe there is also multiple endings in Dead Rising, but alongside that there is also one true ending..telltale probably could do that. Then again these endings tend to be happiest and I guess telltale does not want that.
