What is the most intense moment you have experienced in a game?

    1.) One that I remember pretty well is the second half of the 'All Ghillied Up' mission in the original Modern Warfare. You have to sneak through an irradiated hellscape, picking off straggler. At one point, you literally crawl under a battalion-sized troop formation by hiding under their APC's and freezing when they look down at the ground suspiciously. Upon reaching Pripyat, the whole place is dead with the exception of some wild dogs, but the whole time you keep hearing laughter, as though children are playing just around the corner. The whole thing is intense and creepy as hell.

    2.) The ending of MGS2: intense and midblowingly creepy. Sweet dreams.

    3.) Fort Frolic (Bioshock): Funny, intense and creepy as hell, all at the same time. It's like wandering through an indoor Las Vegas...except it's dark, leaking, infested with crazy people and run by Salvador Dali's homicidal twin brother.

    Usually the most intense moments come when playing multiplayer games. Like, when I'm the last one alive on my team or I'm WAAAAY on the wrong side of the front line. The best one I can remember is literally being the only marine left in 'Reclaiming Hue' on Battlefield Vietnam, running panicked through the rubble of the city as that bitch on the loudspeaker is trying her propaganda on me, and managing to kill enough VC/stay alive long enough to cap a flag and have all 31 other marines spawn in on me at once.

    As far as scripted moments... maybe the hospital in The Last of Us?

    I've had moments like that too, mostly in Battlefield games. Some of my friends and I liked to grab Jeeps/Humvees, use em' to capture CP's deep in enemy territory and run like hell before the tanks show up.

    Confronting S.K.X. in Condemned: Criminal Origins, and beating the shit out of him at the farmhouse. Also fighting the final boss near the end as well, eventually pulling his metal jaw out.

    Yes I did that because he was the hardest boss. I also kind of cheated for The Fear I burnt his ass for a while then shot him and defeated him.
