A time of mourning

Last month I found my mother had passed away in the night. I was living with her as her caretaker and had no occupation of my own. She was disabled and we survived on that but I can no longer rely on that so I search for jobs along the bus line. But right now i'm trying to raise money to pay the bills. www.gofundme.com/92t8ss Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you. The nights are always the hardest. We used to sit together and watch television shows. She had been in the hospital recently so we had some to catch up on and now I can'r. You always assume they'll just be there.

  • Very sorry about your mom.

I assume you are an adult. Apply for job at someplace like the Goodwill. Working might be a better use of your time than playing games and communicating on gaming forums, especially if you have no money, so you then wouldn't have to beg strangers for money.

I actually am working on getting a job even have some outside strings being pulled. Right now I hope to just get my past debt bills paid and enough to get a bus pass so I can go to work every day. Only problem is places dont pay you untill two [and last time i worked it was three] weeks have passed leaving me even more in debt

Don't be afraid to ask for more time. Three weeks is nothing. They won't even shut off your gas and electricity if you are a few weeks late, especially if you communicate with them and schedule a payment. But, yeah, seems like getting a job should be first priority, not paying off debt. Your debt isn't going anywhere (and will just get bigger each month), and what's the worst than can happen if you don't pay right away because you're waiting for payday... phone gets shut off? Lose cable and internet? Seems like you would have more pressing issues than entertaining yourself on the internet, anyway. Public libraries have free internet access if you need it.

Have you ever had a full-time job? How long ago?

And you mentioned that you were being supported by disability welfare given to your mom. The point of welfare is not to support able-bodied adults. The rest of us apparently were paying for you to not work. That's not right.
