I did not give water to the dying man because I wanted him to talk first, but I gave the water to Peter Joseph Randall, that old man deserved better.

I gave him water because I wanted to hear what he did to christa
  • great Pete! but one of the five important decisions is to give water or not the dying of the river .... The bastard who attacked Christa
  • What's with the profile pic? ._.

  • Heh, no! He attacked my Christa. Of course I wouldn't give the bastard water! XD
  • he attacked me and christa but since i knew where the fuckin river is and found
the drummer of yellowcard injured (that's who he looks like to me lol) i figured i could give him water since he was pretty much harmless now
i think he might come back later in the story and depending on the water choice he might be nice and help me later on.
if not i wasted water for nothing >:(
  • I gave him water because I thought it might make him talk and tell me where Christa is. But now I still do it because I hope it might help me in the future and I meet that dude again and he'll remember that act of kindness.
  • I gave water to the dying man, even though he downed it, I don't regret it. I wish I could have saved some for Uncle Pete, but I'm sure he would've done something similar if he were in Clem's situation.
  • No. I wanted to save it for when I needed it. He was just going to die anyway, no amount of water could bring him back to life.
  • Of course i give him water
My clemmy isnt a heartless bitch
    Even to an enemy
  • I didnt give it to the dying man, i gave it to Pete

Honestly there they should of had another choice for Scumbag/bad Clem
Get Clem to drowned him either by using the water in the bottle, Evil Clem could hold his nose so he cant breath why she forces the bottle of water down his throat or drag him to the rive which is a much earsier way to drowned him

I might get hated for this but I not a nice guy
  • My Clem is cold, but not that cold xD

  • It will have an effect in episode 5 like the strangers car.
  • Step one: replay episode 1.
Step two: when Winston is chasing you, let him win and left him drag you away.
Step three: Watch, the dying man says "We need to leave, finish her off."

So you see, he doesn't care about her, so I'm glad I never gave him water.
  • I didn't give him water since he wasn't telling me anything about Christa's whereabouts and he was gonna die anyway. However if he was with Carver, and he somehow survived the gunshots, maybe this will affect Carver's words towards you if the guy told Carver about how Clem saved him. Very very unlikely though
  • Maybe it's an important decision on a possible return of Christa
  • The only impact it had so far was that you couldn't give water to Pete when he asks for it.
  • You're name looks like "Rape me" I suggest changing it...

  • I did give him water, but to be honest, the man couldn't be helped anymore.

He was blasted to hell. No way he made it through this.
He could come back as a walker, you never know. Unlikely, but possible.

But alive? No, he was as good as dead
  • I didn't give him the water. He was as good as dead anyways, why waste it? And it's once thing to give it to your friend who is dying (Pete), but another to give it to a complete stranger whose group tried to kill you and your friend.

It would be really cool if this, or another seemingly insignificant decision, had a major impact on the story down the line. Like so major that you want to go back and replay the entire thing. I think they sorta tried this with the station wagon/Stranger decision, but it didn't really have THAT big of an impact. Like either way the Stranger does what he does.
  • I gave it to him at first, but then on my other playthrough I went to Pete instead of Nick and didn't give the guy water... So glad, cuz Pete deserved it 10x more
  • I did. Easing the pain of someone who's dying is just something you gotta do, IMO. Plus, I thought he might tell Clementine what happened to Christa.
  • The water guy was Victor. There's "Victor's Comics" store on Carver's community... He got lucky. Real lucky.
  • I didn't give him NOTHING!
  • Not giving him water doesn't make her a bitch, it makes her smart. And being heartless is good, especially in a post apocalyptic world.

Of course i give him water My clemmy isnt a heartless bitch Even to an enemy

I gave it to the dying man, not because I wanted him to talk or anything but because i felt bad for him, I mean did him and his group really do anything THAT bad, I mean people seemed to have mercy on sam, but only because he was a dog, the dying man and Sam did pretty much the same thing and so would anyone else, both were probably starving and literally had to choice but violence to keep themselves alive, its a basic evolutionary trait that pretty much every animal (yes humans are in fact animals as well) have in order to survive
  • i'm curious if there's gonna be another "give water" option in episode 3. givin the water to the guy at the river did nothing. givin it to pete did nothing but help with a little cough of his. neither had any impact on anything that actually happened afterwards. the picture/drawing clem put into her pocket in ep 1 have yet to resurface, and there's the question of what'll happen if u didn't give nick the watch. like maybe an option to trade it away?
  • Always agree to a bunny with a gun.

  • I think if Nick or the rest of the Cabin Group finds out that Clem stole the watch and despite knowing that Nick asked for it and she still didn't give it to him could make him or them angry as well as make their trust for you weaker

  • i wonder what happends to the man later on in the game if you don't give water to the dying man. I did because I'm a good natured person and like seeing Clem as that.
