I cried [Episode 3 spoilers]

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
Soo...Oh my God...This Episode was so amazing I can't even tell. It was probably one of the best episodes, and I didn't even cry that much at No Time Left.

First: Alvin's death. I literally shed few tears, I almost cried like a baby but I stopped myself.

Then Tavia shot Carlos in the neck and walkers ate him...Oh God...One of my favourite characters is just gone with a matter of seconds...And then Sarita getting bit...I chopped her arm's off...

Did you cry? Tell me about your feelings after completing it.

  • Ha, yeah, what a satisfaction it was when Jane shot Troy in the balls.

  • I hated it. It was so uneventful up until like the last 10 minutes of it. Most of the episode was just boring and I felt completely out of control. Couldn't stop Sarah from getting hit, couldn't stop poor Reggie from being killed, couldn't save Alvin, couldn't save Carlos, and I feel like Sarita's probably just going to bleed out and die too even though I cut her arm off. It was also short as shit, just when it started getting good it ended, and on such a cliffhanger. Oh, and I barely even got to see the 400 days characters other than Bonnie, who is my least favorite. Seriously, you don't even get to TALK to the other 400 days group members, which have so much more potential than the other characters introduced this episode.

Also, I'm confused at which point the 'got a beat down' achievement comes into play(since I have the official Telltale version, I don't get those achievements). Because Clementine gets beat down quite a few times throughout the episode.

Now, it was still a good episode. Kenny got called out on his half-baked plans constantly where in season 1 no one ever stated "Okay, and what do we do AFTER that?". Don't get me wrong, Kenny's one of my favorite characters, but he never thinks things completely through.
  • I'm sad for Sarah... :((

I didn't cry, but there are some pretty gruesome moments this episode, for example seeing Kenny getting beat up was so hard to watch, and that dickshot made me cringe.

And Alvin's death was so sad... at least he died honourable.
  • That is kinda the point of being a prisoner, you can't control anything.

  • That's not what I mean. I mean the choices seemed to have no impact. I should be able to control whether Clementine takes the blame for something or lets someone else take the fall. I should be able to actually TALK to people. Aaand the most disappointing part of the episode for me was the end, what a let down. I was expecting Sarah to go crazy and start shooting zombies or something, not scream and run off into the woods.

  • You REALLY expected Sarah to do something like that?! This isn't a Seagal flick.

  • That's the point. Clem can't be all sassy like she has been. Carver prover that withing the first 3 minutes of the game. She had no control and she has to watch some of the crazy twisted things going on because reacting can possibly get her killed.

  • That's STILL not what I meant. You literally don't get to do anything but walk around. Carver took a liking in Clementine, you should be able to take the blame for the walkie talkies. You should be able to start up conversations with the rest of the 400 days groups, or at least say "Hi, how ya doin? Fuck you too, Becca." I mean they all talk to Clementine or say something relevant to her aside from Vince, why can't Clementine reply to them?

Also note, I stayed sassy Clem. Idgaf. d:

  • Yes, with the huge buildup, I expected Sarah to actually start doing something other than being a baby. I figured Carlos dying would make her grow some balls, or at least that something more eventful than her just running off into the woods would happen.

  • I cried when Alvin died and when Duck was mentioned ;_;
  • i cried and shaked alot while the credits were rolling
  • i cried for kenny for his eye
  • I believe he said, "You shot my dick off!"

So I take that as Jane being a great markswoman. Quite a turn of mood from the previous scene, though.

  • I liked the episode but I did feel like there was some options missing like more options of defiance. I know Clem's still a child and she freezes up but, for an example, after Sarah was hit and was on the ground, I wanted to have the option to try and show some sort of comfort gesture even if it pissed off Carver.

And the 400 Days' characters did feel more like cameos, I would have liked more talking with them but I did like that they ended up with Carver although some I were surprised by (Really, Russel?).

  • I would have loved to at least have been able to say "Thanks" to Wyatt, "Lighten up" to Russel and "Fuck you" to Becca. Not talking to Vince is understandable though, given the circumstances. Just little one line conversations would have been nice. :<
