Reggie's voice acting was bad enough to take me out of the episode whenever his mouth was open. Honestly, it felt like they just pulled some… more random guy off the street and asked him to read the lines into a mic.
I'm expecting the 400 days characters other than Bonnie to have a more interesting role to play later on. If they don't, then wow, what a waste.
No hubs. Again. Expected.
I wish Carver had survived to have more of a role in the season, but now I'm half-wondering if our villain from now on is going to be Tavia seeking revenge.
(Carlos death) Who in Carver's group shot Carlos and why?I mean when there hundred's of walker's attacking your camp, they decide to shoot Carlos instead?
We never know the story about Alvin killing George , It is like they dump this idea
I know this happens all the time, but this time it was kinda frustrating. You give up in front of Carver? Kenny's taking the blame. You want to keep the walkie? Kenny's taking the blame. You tell Sarah to run? She runs away. You try to calm her down? She runs away. You give your opinion? They're doing what they want anyway. it's kinda how it happened in TWAU episode 3. Do you make a deal with Jack? He gives you the name anyway. Do you only go to 2 out of 3 places? You arrive late anyway.
Also, I found Jane pretty cringe-worthy, like TWAU's Bloody Mary. Edgy lone wolf cliche... has been done to death.
When sarita got bitten if you cut her arm she won't live for sure she is going to die from losing blood and if you killed the walker Kenny is going to shoot her latter... Poor Kenny he always get in to this kind of situation ;_;
i'm actually not objected to carver dying fast, i'm all aginst human antigonists, he had a quite good death scene, although throughout the whole of it, i kept looking at carver's thye....he had a revolver on him, i was excpecting him to pull it off and shoot kenny any second, real relief when he didn't.
i...sort off saw carlos's death, not *his* death, but A death, in that scene, they were pretending to be walkers, and unless the people on the roof were looking for humans walking through the herd, which would make them rather stupid people in my opinion, they have probably believed it, and someone...shot a Walker.
now to things that did bother me, by order of importance:
1.400 days characters(less bonnie, i really loved her this episode), no dialogs? AT ALL? also no appearance for those who didn't come...i really hope they'll have a part in those 2 episodes left, on the bright side, we'll get to see Eddie next episode, really annoyed by it...also, did the tell Leland we killed Dee choice affected this episode? I'd appreciate if someone checks it
2.carver's morality, i really expected him to be more deep, more Grey, this guy is just all black, he's an evil sadist who enjoys violence and has a terrible sense of right and wrong, obsessed with strong and weak people, and thinks the weak needs to be weeded out...he's wrong, his kind is the people who needs to be weeded out, i cheered at his death, i would like a more Grey character, which would lead to people discussing his actions...you don't see people do that, because they were all just plain un-justified in any sense
3. nick not being particularly important if not killed at previous episode
umm, thats all i think, besides complaints on episode length, but i will have those for a 5 hours episode, too
DOC'S DEATH. It happened so fast I didn't even manage to calm down Sarah! It's so unfair!
But on a serious note, I hated Shel and Becca… more as cameos. It was just Becca being rude for a while and Shel calming her. Hello? Something more?
You know, I preferred Nick Breckon's writing. But still, it was amazing episode
That episode is one of the best in this Season so far. BUT the parts I don't like;
* 400 Days choices other than cameos really don't ma… moretter in this episode. Including Season One choices.
* Carver's death. I mean REALLY?! I thought he would be the best power maniac evil in this Season. But nope.
* Carlos's death. JESUS ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?! At least I expected to be a memoriable death scene. Like sacrifising himself to the walkers for protecting Sarah.
* Also I didn't like the idea that they forced Clementine to do a amputation to Sarita.
* From the looks of it Luke is bitten. F**k my life. I don't know anymore. It'S gonna be Lee all over again.
* Alvin's death. Pete all over again.
-I'm not sure I understand the whole Alvin/George thing. Alvin died in the last episode in my main playthrough (I haven't played my secondary playthrough yet), so he didn't even go to the hardware store with the group. It didn't come up in this episodes at all, unless I missed it. If they didn't explain, maybe they'll do it in the next episode? If what you say is true, I hope it will be explained in the future.
-I agree about Carver's early death. I was kind of bummed about that too. I expected him to be the villain for the entire season. I liked Michael Madsen's voice characterization of him too. It's unfortunate that he's gone so soon.
-I didn't get the impression that the guards had serious animosity towards Carver. They're all a bunch of goons and thugs, so there's going to be some people disgruntled with the leadership. It's like a gang, they have a leader because they need a leader, and for no other reason. They may not love following orders, but they need the safety of group cohesion and for that, they need a leader. They only reluctantly follow Carver because it does benefit them. If they dethroned Carver, they'd be in chaos.
-I agree about the 400 Days characters. I really hope we get more of them in the next couple episodes.
-I think there was some character development. Sarah is being forced to grow up. The group is becoming more united. Bonnie is regretting the decisions she's made. Clementine is still changing and learning.
-I disliked Reggie's voice acting, personally. I felt it was very unnatural. He was a total redshirt. He was only in the story to die and to show Carver's ruthlessness.
-Boring is strictly a matter of opinion. I disagree. I enjoyed it, but to each their own.
- The thing about Alvin killing George not explained
- Carver's early death
- The guards don't like Carver and his attituide, but they d… moreon't even try to kill him.
- 400 Days character not very much into this episode, what role will they play? I mean, we will only see them in 4 and 5 episode?
- No Character developement.
- Reggie's voice acting...wasn't bad, but it was just out of the character o_o
- Boring
- Not many feels
IT WAS EPIC! I loved every single bit just finished it a minute ago I'm stunned. It was just... incredible. The feeling, the hubs, the dialogue, the story, bad motherfucking ass Kenny killing that piece of shit new genius characters, edge of the seat moments everywhere EPIC!
There's no proof, it could by anyone from the roof shooters, but, you know. I think it was Tavia because he recognized him and didn't want h… moreim to make it, so she shot him. Also, it was a shot to the neck, normally people should aim for the head. You can also say that she was aiming for the head but missed and got the neck, but, shhh, conspiracy theories are better.
Also, the other guards didn't interact with Carlos very often. They just saw him few times, while Tavia saw him more times. So she had bigger chance of recognizing him disguised as a walker.
Wow, I really am a conspiracy theorist.
1) I didn't really like Carver's characterization. I was expecting him to be more calculating/intelligent and on the morally grey side of th… moreings, but nope. It felt like he was violent for the sake of being violent. That's alright I guess, but I personally don't find those kinds of antagonists interesting.
2) Not being able to interact with the other 400 Days characters besides Bonnie is upsetting. It's also kind of OOC in my opinion that Russell and Shel would be in Carver's community, considering all they've been through with tyrant camp leaders.
3) Some of the dialogue was written.. badly. It felt awkward at times listening to some characters speak.
Anyways, don't get me wrong, I liked the episode, but it had a few flaws.
I hope that, as Telltale has more success and has more money and time at its disposal, they will be able to move past the illusion of choice and start giving players choice. As in, major elements of the story change depending on what you choose to do.
I know how much harder that is to implement in a game, but I'd honestly be happy to wait longer and pay more for a game that acknowledges my decisions and reflects them beyond superficial changes.

Also, I found Jane pretty cringe-worthy, like TWAU's Bloody Mary. Edgy lone wolf cliche... has been done to death.
Also, I was worried Carver was just going to be a retread of the Governor-Negan style villain. Y'know, psychopath-ruling-as-a-tinpot-despot?
My fears were well founded. He would have been more interesting with greyer morality and more depth.
400 days characters didn't played a major role (apart from Bonnie) but its alright I already predicted that.
I didn't get what was Carver about, he wanted his people to be strong but basically allowed a bunch of strangers and runaways back in where they can sabotage him from the inside and did everything in his power for everyone to hate him as much as possible. To the point that no shelter, food or electricity was worth the risk hanging around there, at one point you here even his guards doubting his ability to lead. I really expected him to be around till ep5 and some conflict where you have to chose to side with him or not, that would have been much more interesting.
Jane and that black dude, not that they where bad but just a bit boring compared to the 400 days people, Jane looked almost like Bloody Mary, is it even the same voice actress?
What everyone seems to be missing is the idea that season 2 is completely different than season 1 in the fact that it is almost COMPLETELY a movie, without the voluntary dialogue, puzzles, or exploring of areas that was offered in season 1.
Don't get me wrong, this episode was kick ass and the story telling is the major part. But still, I think they are gravitating away from the way season 1 was conducted way too much.
No, I think most of us have caught on to that by now. Its been a gradual process, with Season 1 Episode 1 coming the closest to resembling old-fashioned adventure games and the link slowly become weaker and weaker ever since. By now, it barely exists.

Same here. His voice was pretty monotone even when he was upset. I feel bad criticizing him since his VA seemed like a cool guy, but it really wasn't impressive.
I pitied Reggie though. He was a nice person, but he got stuck doing manual labor because he wanted to help Luke and got left behind. Seems like every good guy in the series so far gets killed off sadly.
yeah i watched the youtube vid of him on playing dead, he did seem cool but kinda shy and reserved, even with greg..
and that 'lack of confidence' really seemed to resonate in his performance as reggie,
i could argue that reggie him self 'the character' was the same he was a yes man but he was put in an impossible situation each time, and i kinda felt bad for making clem do this stuff and just before i did certain things i said ' sorry reg ' i gotta do this..but then wow carver went postal...

I did not like Sarah at all, she was extremely annoying and literally every moment I had which gave me some sort of opportunity to get her in trouble, I took it. For the most part, I kept responding with "Shut up" "Grow up" and "Get over it". She needs to die. I also wish some of the 400 days characters were in longer, but I guess I'll start expecting that to be in the next two episodes.
1) Said 1000 times, but the use of 400 days characters besides Bonnie. I mean I understand why they only had cameos, I just wish they had bigger cameos you know. I didn't want clem to talk to them because she would have no reason too, but maybe see them interact more.
2) Some dialogue was pretty strange like in most games like this. Can't remember any right now but I know I cringed a few times when I heard certain dialogue options, I cringed a little inside
3) I didn't really enjoy Jane's character seemed bland to me. Sorta like a mix of Molly, Bloody Mary from TWAU, and Lilly.
Now for the sake of it what I liked in no particular order.
1) Carver's Death. This one I've notice is a common complaint. But I love it. If you want a full paragraph on why just ask.
2) Bonnie's development. In episode I didn't think she was really a bad guy, just a good person in a bad situation, and I'm glad this episode showed that.
3) Kenny not dieing. Now this is not because I'm a Kenny fanboy That never wants to see him hurt. This is mostly because I feel if you are too bring back old character at least give them 1 full episode to show their new personalities ect. Now if he dies next episode I'll be fine, but I like how he lived through this one.
4) Carlos actually doing doctor work. I'm glad they finally showed Carlos doing what he was said to be his profession finally.
I wish there was a hub in this episode where we can talk with the 400 Days characters and have interesting conversations with them like:
-Clem hearing that Vince was going to jail before the apocalypse and she tells him that she knew a man who was going to prison too.
-Maybe Wyatt saying that he should give up about Eddie being alive and we have the options of telling him that he shouldn't give up hope on Eddie or that he should give up on him.
-Russell telling Clem that he once knew a crazy guy named Nate and would ask her if she ever met a crazy person and we would have the option to tell him about the Stranger.
-Clem and Becca talking with each other and maybe playing an innocent prank on Sarah and such.
Basically what most people said before me, but one thing bugged me to hell...
LET ME FUCKING TALK TO NICK GODDAMMIT. You talk to him once. ONCE. I just want to talk with my favorite more than once. Is that too much to ask? That and he barely did anything, although I can understand that, because he is determinant.
On another note, you couldn't talk more than once for most characters. That's kind of sad.
On Ps3 the loading screens tend to take a long time and this episode felt like it had more than 1 and 2 combined. At one point I texted a friend and called it Episode 3: Revenge of the Loading Screens.

still miss lee......

Wyatt was only a minor role with 1 line. Fucking boo.
-Clem hearing that Vince was going to jail before the apocalypse and she tells him that she knew a man who was going to prison too.

Carver's wasted potential.
Never seeing any more of the compound than about five guards.
Reggie's voice acting was pretty atrocious.
Jane basically being an edgy Molly. More pandering.
400's Days gang barely appearing (bar Bonnie who of course no decisions revolve around).
