S02E03: In which Pierre Shorette cleans up Nick Breckon's mess
Knew it even before I saw the credits: the tone, characterizations, and overall mentality are all obvious signs that it wasn't written by the same person. Pierre's writing is a lot more straightforward than Nick's, but it lacks the kind of stupid shit found in Ep. 2 (doors left unlocked, convenient zombies, not taking warnings seriously, USE KEY ON KEYHOLE). Every zombie attack was obvious: "There's the breach, here come the walkers." Carver was a straight-up prison-warden psycho who sounded like most people's impressions of Hitler, but then again, Carver always was a psycho.
Walter warned Clem that there would be "politics", but there are no politics to be found in Ep. 3, except for convincing Bonnie that hey, yeah, this guy really is a violent lunatic. The 400 Days optional characters were set aside, as Pierre clearly did not have time for them. Basically, Nick handed Pierre a gigantic tangled mess of fishing line, and Pierre broke out the scissors.
Was it good? Yes. Was it better than last episode? Definitely. Could it have been better? Probably. If Pierre is going to write Ep. 4, he needs to start finding new and interesting things for the characters to do.

I still think Nick Breckon gets too much hate, though. I'd easily put A House Divided on my top 3 favorite episodes.
But I guess he could have done better with TWD
Telltale Boss: Pierre, you're going write Episode 3 of TWD.
Pierre: FUCK YES, i have all these great ideas.
Pierre: I'll have many hubs around the camp, i'll bring back the 400 days character and we'll have lots of character development and interactions. This is going to be perfect!
Telltale Boss: You only have 90 minutes to tell a story
Pierre: oh...
[Breckon texts Vanaman]: Man i knew i should have jumped ship and join your company.
I'll still look forward to ep 4, but I'm definitely not as hyped as I was about ep 3.
A House Divided is top 3 on my list
but that doesn't mean the episode was bad. I thought episode 2 was great except for little things here and there like the turbine part.
and I will say that I think episode 3 was better than episode 2, but I don't think that makes nick a bad writer, he had to do different scenes to work with than the guy who wrote episode 3.
It wasn't bad, but it lacked development and choices
My hopes were crushed when right from the beginning he slaps Clem and throws Reggie off the balcony just for the sake of being evil, it felt like his actions were forced just so the player hates him. He had no character development in my eyes and I'm sad to see that TT went for the one dimensional psychopath route.
But Episode 3 has nothing like that (well it had Sarita bitten, but we still don't know how that will turn out)
