Will ******** Survive her...amputation?

If you chose to cut Sarita's arm off, do you think she'll make it? I unfortunately don't think so, she's probably going to bleed out. Especially since our doctor is dead.

  • Maybe I still think she'll die next episode though...
  • I think she'll survive
  • No, I'm almost 100% sure she won't. We don't have a doctor anymore since Carlos is dead.
  • doubt it.

clem used a axe the was SOAKED with zombie brains, although the virus could only be spread by saliva...

    it depends

Should also be mentioned, she screamed rather loudly. I don't think she will last much longer in that one scene.
  • I had to make a split decision but that scream made me rethink it ten times over. I just didn't want Kenny to lose any more loved ones.
  • It's Telltale, my friend.

    Of course she won't survive.
  • Nope, don't believe so. In the Walking dead universe, "walker coated" weapons can kill a person the same way a bite does. Since that weapon was used to cut open and smear walker guts, I doubt Sharita has any chance to live. Besides, she would have died from the blood loss alone, as she has no time to dress the wound. And, even if she somehow survived all that, walkers would have been all over her after her scream.
  • Logic dictates that she won't. Nobody should survive an amputation like that anyway, even if you had a well experienced doctor. Even the Walking Dead show portrayed an unrealistic portrayal on amputation, but that's television and this is a game so obviously anything is possible.

However, barring any logic, she may survive. Reason why I think she'll survive is because of what we've learned about Reggie. Reggie had his arm amputated and Mike, who is part of the group and still alive (I think) apparently knows a thing or two and saved Reggie's life, so same may be done for her.

Doesn't make sense, but got to look at it from the viewpoint of the game.
  • but that's for the comic. we haven't seen that with the game yet.

and in the show did rick use a blood coated axe to cut off hershals leg?

  • That may be true. What if you don't cut it off and then Mike cuts it off anyway? Maybe the advantage of you doing it is that Kenny will respect you.

  • You make a good point. If you don't make the move, someone else will, and thats kind of how a couple of situations rolled this episode. Like with Reggie? I chose to help Sarah and Carver threw him to his death, but if I had done my own work none of Sarah's would get done and Reggie would still have been turned into a pavement puddle.

That may be true. What if you don't cut it off and then Mike cuts it off anyway? Maybe the advantage of you doing it is that Kenny will respect you.

  • It would be obnoxious to kill off another of Kenny's love interests to further his character development. We've seen that. I want to see Sarita be her own character, which is why I hope she lives.
  • I think she might survive (If you cut her arm off). Atleast for another episode, Because having her die just for Kenny to lose someone again like Kat and Duck is a little too predictable for me. But you know, Our tears are Telltale's source of power.
  • she will die but when I don't know. afterall cutting her arm is determent
  • I hope she doesn't, because I'm liking her, and not just as "Kenny's new wife". I really want her to survive.
  • Just because you didn't cut her arm off at the second doesn't mean someone else won't do it. Like I said in a previous comment, my guess is Mike will do it and the advantage of you doing it is that Kenny will appreciate it.

  • hope not it would break kenny
  • Right now, I'm thinking that Sarita will not make it for long and will most likely die to make Kenny go off the deep end once again. Her chances of survival is already looking low, and she's not going to pull of what Kenny did back in S1 E5, I don't think Telltale is going to pull that same trick twice.

I hate to copy and paste a comment of mine, but I couldn't really think of a better way to reword it.

I have a feeling the only way Sarita is getting out of that horde of walkers is if she still has her hand. I can't envision her being able to battle her way through the lurkers after having just lost her arm. The amount of blood she just spilled and her screaming out is gonna make a load more walkers stumble her way.

The whole situation makes me think of Carlos' words at the start of the episode - about rash decisions (regardless of their intent) - and the ramifications that come with them. In the heat of the moment, it seems like the right thing to do, but then you realise that Sarita is now surrounded by walkers, in no shape or state of mind to defend herself, and anyone who tries to drag her out of this mess is very liable to get themselves killed.

I suppose whether or not she dies as a result of Clem chopping her arm off comes down to whether or not Telltale want to take a break from punching the player in the gut. I sincerely hope they don't go the route of someone else amputating her hand in that same scene if you don't do it. I just don't support the idea of a cliffhanger choice resulting in - essentially - the same outcome either way. I feel as though it would retroactively cheapen the ending of episode 3.
