Jane's Comment in the 'Next Time On'

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
"They're all going to die, Clementine. Don't let them pull you down with them"

I'm unsure of what context Jane tells Clementine that she should abandon the group or they'll bring them down with her, but is she for real!? What a dumbass thing to say to an 11 year old, no matter how independent.

Clem completely on her own would practically be suicide. She might could tough it for awhile with the skills that Christa taught her, but it's unlikely she could make it far in the long haul.

Jane really sounds like the kind of survivor that would do just fine on her own.

But my Clementine still needs help, definitely. Besides, even if it is more dangerous to stay with the group with no place to stay, no food, no water and Rebecca's baby coming soon (not telltale's kind of soon) I will never be able to bring myself to abandon some of the people I've met. Luke, Nick, Kenny, Sarita, Sarah... I've grown extremely attached to them and I'm going to try my damndest to make it through WITH them !
  • I hope what she said in the preview doesn't come true.

As for my opinion on her, I like her. She seems like an okay gal to me. She actually reminds me of Molly.
  • Well, I know who I'm not trusting when things get too hairy, now.
  • Well she did help the group escape.

Well, I know who I'm not trusting when things get too hairy, now.

  • Sure, but judging by that line it probably wasn't because she cared about the group's safety all that much.

Well she did help the group escape.

  • Maybe, but it seems to me that she cares about Clementine at least a little bit, otherwise she wouldn't be warning her about them "bringing her down with them".

  • Her personality is just like Molly doesn't care of people died or lived and focus only on her self and keeps her emotions to her self i like this charchter :))

Seeing Luke's reluctance to end Carver, Sarah's grief and inability to cope with adversity, Kenny being half-blind and in danger of brain damage, Sarita bitten, and Rebecca pregnant I could see how she may view the majority of the group as liabilities. Though this could be a build up to her suggesting that Clem stick with her. When she said, "It's alright to be scared, it's what you do about it that matters" (or something along those lines) I felt they might be setting her up to mentor Clem in some way (if only temporarily). We'll see I guess.
  • After I heard her say that. I remember that user who said that there's an achievement called "Get seperated with the group" Coincidence? I think not.

Is this the Steam/X360/PSN achievement/trophy (for PSN) you were talking about

    Achievement/Trophy Title: Best Laid Plans
Achievement/Trophy Description: Got separated from the group.
