I think any charchter you left a the 400 days camp will be dead cuz telltale can't make that much ending it will take them 3 months cuz there 4 people 4•4=16 that's a lot of different ending
This isnt in response to the question of the thread, buttt.... the 400 Days characters are still alive. With Carvers group still alive and fighting off the swarms, I imagine a few more unimportant characters dying and then the 400 days group catching up with Clem and the bunch sometime after this group thins out a bit. I also think Bonnie might try to become a motherly figure and the other 400 days characters will become up for grabs when it comes to deaths.
Lol there is nothing i didn't like in this episode. Episode was great. The 400 days characters did have roles in the game whoever went with Tavia. They were the one's shooting guns with Tavia in the end scene. They will play a role in 204 because one of the one of the trophies is Survive the attack. Since Troy and Carver is dead that means Tavia's in command now and will send the 400 days characters that came with her after Clem's group. That means the ones who didn't go with Tavia will meet you by the ruins and team up. You can also try to reason with the 400 characters working for Tavia. Bill wasn't really that big of a villian. All he wanted was a community and his laws were too crazy so people revolted against him. Nate could be the next antagonist we meet. Or we might meet Leland in episode 4.
I disagree on Jane mainly because I don't hate her like I did Molly. Molly tried way too hard to be badass, Jane at least seem realistically badass to an extent.
-Reggie felt pointless. Plus his voice acting was pretty bad.
-Carver died too early. I wanted to know more about his character.
-… moreThe 400 days characters (excluding Bonnie and Tavia) only had brief cameos. I was hoping they'd play a bigger role.
-Jane seems like a carbon copy of Molly.
They're shooting automatic weapons, I doubt they were able to single anyone out, they just fired.
I don't get this complaint, would it really have added to the story for us to know this? To me he was just some guard that Alvin killed and Carver used that as an excuse to justify beating the shit out of him.
(Carlos death) Who in Carver's group shot Carlos and why?I mean when there hundred's of walker's attacking your camp, they decide to shoot Carlos instead?
We never know the story about Alvin killing George , It is like they dump this idea
He might be. Something is wrong with him, because in the comic book place he looks sickly, is dizzy, and even Clem has the option to ask him if he's feeling well to which he immediately responds "no" before changing his answer.
I actually enjoyed the way Carlos died, it was more realistic to me (Oh boo hoo Viner16, stop fucking whining about realism in a ZOMBIE GAME… more.)
The sad truth is, not everyone can die a hero. Sometimes it just happens, and there's no time to react to it. You can't stop, there can't be an epic 5 minute build up as you listen to his last words.
It just happens.
The only part I didn't like about this episode was when it ended, and Alvin. I mean, it kinda felt "We need to get rid of this guy so we'll just make him stay here for bullshit reasons" and that disappointed me, honestly. Kenny suffered MUCH worse beating and he could go with the group, Alvin's reaction felt cheap to me "yeah my face is swollen so I'm going to get revenge, who cares about my wife and child, you're going to take care of them huh ?"..... I was like, really ? You'd rather get killed here, not even being sure to be able to kill Carver than go and protect your wife ? Come on.
No hubs ? ... Well, it might still not be up to Season 1's level of exploring but there was quite a bit of it in this episode. I must say I was kind of satisfied with it , wouldn't complain about a bit more of course (expected Carver's settlement to be bigger than that, to see more people). Let's hope there'll be some more in the next ones !
How is his early death an opinion? Are you daft? It WAS early. Thats fact. Seriously, if your best rebuttles were just "omg thats just your opinion" then kindly gtfo and come back when you have some self-respect. I'd rather listen to a thousand critics with legitimate reasons than just one apologist like you whining because someone criticised you love child.
-Alvin killing George is sort of explained.
-Carver's early death is only in opinion. I'm glad he died this early.
-They know Carver is … morepretty fucked up, and they want to stay safe in the community. Also, Troy was only questionable of Carver's behavior with the Kenny scene, other than that the guards were ok with it... except for Bonnie who actually helped.
-I agree with the 400 days character thing but I believe they'll come into play later... as in, I think it was just too determinant to have any big dialogue with someone that most people might not see at the camp, maybe if they all have to come to see Clem's group again, there will be more dialogue and such.
-No character development only depending on how you played it...
-Reggie's voice acting was out of character, yes.
-I don't see how you could possibly find it boring...
-Not many feels? Duck's mention? Do you not own a soul?
There's no proof, it could by anyone from the roof shooters, but, you know. I think it was Tavia because he recognized him and didn't want h… moreim to make it, so she shot him. Also, it was a shot to the neck, normally people should aim for the head. You can also say that she was aiming for the head but missed and got the neck, but, shhh, conspiracy theories are better.
Also, the other guards didn't interact with Carlos very often. They just saw him few times, while Tavia saw him more times. So she had bigger chance of recognizing him disguised as a walker.
Wow, I really am a conspiracy theorist.
I cant be the only one that thought that Kennys plan was bloody ridiculous? I was with him throughout in terms of hatching an escape, but by luring a horde of walkers? WHAT
I don't really know what you're talking about. Didn't Chuck's words get to you ? She's a member of the group, that's all there is to it. If I met a 11yo ALONE after almost 2 years into the Zombie Apocalypse I sure as hell wouldn't brush her aside or underestimate her.
She's physically weak and the game restlessly reminds you that, remember when the walkers got through the window ? She barely managed to escape from one of them and was lucky that he got his head pierced by the pointy things of the plank. After that even with a decent weapon it took her a good amount of time kill another one, and if Troy didn't save her she'd have been killed. In the meantime Kenny and Mike killed 5~6 of them.
The group relies on Clementine because they know what she's capable of. There has been one character who didn't know her in this episode, Mike. What did he do ? Ask to take her place for the radio, that's a normal reaction... For someone who doesn't know her.
Besides if no one listened to her and never let her do anything.. well have fun with a game like that. I respect your opinion but I personally feel that the game does it the right way at the moment.
One other complaint: I really wish the writers would keep in mind that Clementine is an 11 year old girl. An extremely tough and mature 11 y… moreear old girl, but an 11 year old girl nonetheless. Too often, in both character's reactions and in her own behavior, that fact seems to slip through the cracks.
She isn't Lee. She can't be Lee. She shouldn't be anywhere near physically capable of doing many of the things Lee could do. Nor should people treat her as they treated Lee. She should be underestimated and brushed aside and treated with kid gloves, sometimes to the peril of the one doing the underestimating. Even the cabin group and Kenny, who know how resourceful she is for a girl her age, should be rather more ashamed at just how much they're exclusively sending a little girl into danger for their sake. I know I would be, in their shoes.
The season would be richer if her age were more often treated not as a writing inconvenience to b… [view original content]
I had doubts but now I'm sure - magic of TWD is gone. "In Harm's Way" is boring episode. Nothing surprised me. Nothing shocked me. TTG revea… moreled most interesting parts in the trailer. Carver is a jerk not a boss. He's talking bullshit and nobody's paying attention. Every times he appears he has to do something violent. It's stupid. Only strongest will survive - how original. Waste of good character. Good Bonnie is back. Didn't notice Carver is a psycho. Rrright... Suddenly Luke is back. Why did he leave? And mysterious girl? She's some kind of Steve McQueen from The Great Escape? Undeveloped character. Other 400 days characters? Thanks Telltale, so much interaction with them, wow. Worst episode so far.
Oh, Clem didn't lose ultra strenght. Knocks out adult zombie with one hit and chops arm off really fast.
I'll tell you what though. Reggie was the FIRST character introduced this season I immediately felt sympathy for. I went out of my way to not get him trouble the whole time he was there. And I was screaming at my TV screen to allow Clem to stop Carver, but nope. And those last words to Clem, "thanks for the help, girls." :(
yeah i watched the youtube vid of him on playing dead, he did seem cool but kinda shy and reserved, even with greg..
and that 'lack of … moreconfidence' really seemed to resonate in his performance as reggie,
i could argue that reggie him self 'the character' was the same he was a yes man but he was put in an impossible situation each time, and i kinda felt bad for making clem do this stuff and just before i did certain things i said ' sorry reg ' i gotta do this..but then wow carver went postal...
Very little gameplay, I had literally forgot about the QTE's until I was killed.
Carver (Eh, you know... everything.)
And although the entire last two scenes were fantastic, the rest was quite lack luster. (the Carver death scene was called "Mush." Gold star)
I feel there were too many instances were player agency was removed. (Why the balls can't I stop Carver from killing Reggie!?)
And then if you hate "badass" Clem. Well, good luck. Cause you'll see her giving quite a few "dirty looks."
Chuck's words need to come with a whole lot of context. They mean that everyone needs to be treated as if they were a survivor in a harsh world, shown how to handle a gun, not coddled or hidden from the reality of thing. All of this needs to be done because, no matter how hard you try to hide it, the post-apocalyptic world is a place where dead people will rip your intestines out and eat them. Sheltering someone from that just makes them easier prey for walkers and guys like Carver.
That doesn't mean that, when your group isn't sure how to turn off a wind turbine, all the eyes turn to the 11 year old girl. It doesn't mean you send the 11 year old girl to take point against herds of walkers when there are a number of perfectly capable and armed adult men standing around. It doesn't mean the 11 year old girl suddenly acts like an adult, talks like an adult, thinks like an adult, is treated without reservation as an adult. They may respect her as being wise beyond her years and tougher than any 11 year old has a right to be, but they aren't just going to forget the 'little girl' thing. In watching the preview for Episode 3, I actually burst out laughing when Kenny scolded my Clem for 'just giving up', as if Clem should have gone Rambo on Carver and company.
Just as the group would turn to the doctor first when someone gets sick, or turn to the strongest member should they need something moved or lifted, so they should realistically treat sending the little girl into danger as the absolute last resort. They know she can hold her own, but by the end of the episode I was kind of echoing one of dialogue options: why is this group of grown men and women always relying on a little girl to save their asses? Why is it, when something needs doing, all eyes fall on me? We know why: she's the protagonist. In-game, it starts to get a bit disconcerting after awhile just how dependent these grown men and women are on my Clem.
And that actually would have presented the writing challenge I mentioned. How do you keep the player as the central actor in the storyline when everyone around her refuses to see her as such due to her age? How does it feel to be sidelined when you actually have the best idea on how to proceed? How does the gameplay differ when you aren't a Lee who everyone ultimately turns to for the big decision-making, but rather the little girl who is never turned to and must do what needs to be done on her own initiative, without necessarily having the group's support or understanding?
Certainly it would have been a lot cooler to see slowly dawning realization of just how capable Clem really is, over the course of the season, rather than it being accepted so quickly and readily by all.
I don't really know what you're talking about. Didn't Chuck's words get to you ? She's a member of the group, that's all there is to it. If … moreI met a 11yo ALONE after almost 2 years into the Zombie Apocalypse I sure as hell wouldn't brush her aside or underestimate her.

Russel's cameo felt more forced than Wyatt's! And, yeah, I know it was 2 years since the original introduction of Russel, but puberty clearly wasn't kind to his voice. (Did they have to switch voice actors IRL? I bet they did.) At least Vince's appearance made some kind of sense.

Wish we got to know Mike and Jane better.
Reggie was pretty much p… moreointless
An 80 minute episode
No hubs
Carver was pretty much a basic villain, I expected more
Becca the bitch
Nick hardly did anything
The feels struck me the hardest when Sarita got bit (not complaining but it's just weird that I got really emotional that part)
Yeah, Russell and Shel should have been part of Luke's band from the get-go given the tyrannical camp leader thing. I'm actually kind of surprised they weren't given what was ultimately revealed at Carver's "community."
1) I didn't really like Carver's characterization. I was expecting him to be more calculating/intelligent and on the morally grey side of th… moreings, but nope. It felt like he was violent for the sake of being violent. That's alright I guess, but I personally don't find those kinds of antagonists interesting.
2) Not being able to interact with the other 400 Days characters besides Bonnie is upsetting. It's also kind of OOC in my opinion that Russell and Shel would be in Carver's community, considering all they've been through with tyrant camp leaders.
3) Some of the dialogue was written.. badly. It felt awkward at times listening to some characters speak.
Anyways, don't get me wrong, I liked the episode, but it had a few flaws.
None worth discussing. A Season 1 hub featured dialogue trees with multiple characters who can be interacted with at your discretion, sometimes with a little freedom to wander (though admittedly not much). A Season 2 'hub' features only a couple of characters who can be spoken to, who give you a single line of dialogue and nothing more, as well as a very limited space in which to move. Sometimes you are kicked out of the 'hub' by making the mistake of investigating a plot sensitive item before you've had a chance to do anything else.
Lol well I didn't like when Carver killed Reggie over a berry damn. Bill takes his job to damn serious. On my good choices file it's kind of mean but Becca is messed up she said Sarah is a baby and needs to be put down''

Reggie's VA seemed really different and kind of too casual. Didn't like them VA-wise, but did like their character. Their dying moment was glorious in both parts.
I wanted a more hubbish moment with everyone. More Nick interactions where he actually interjected useful things instead of backing Luke up with throw-away dialogue.
More 400 Days interaction .If Tavia becomes a villain with Vince, Shel, Wyatt and Russell I'm okay. Can you imagine Shel's anger if Becca was bit?
Although I imagine they'd be apart of the Camp we'll come across next episode with Eddie presumably. Might even see Christa or hints of her.
Otherwise damn good episode. And that ending was...well. Handy.
Things I didn’t like about In Harms Way. There were a few tiny things, but…
[Sad music…]
I miss Reggie more then Telltale missed the mark
When they made Clem work that turbine
I miss him more than 400 days missed the point
And that's an awful lot of cameos
And now, now they’ve gone away
And all I'm trying to say is
Carver’s death sucked, and I missed Luke
I needed him like Troy Dipshit needs patrolling school
He was terrible as a watch guard
I needed him like dear Nicky needed a bigger part
He’s way better than Troy Dipshit
And now, all I can think about is poor Carlos
And that shit on Jane’s face
Wash your face girl, you too Kennnny
Why does Telltale get to keep on making mean decisions?
I guess Carver’s death sucked
Just a little bit more than I missed Luke...
It's almost as if people don't think that being malnourished, dehydrated and sleep deprived will make you a bit pale and/or feinty.
One all nighter and I'm falling asleep in my chair, and I'm way younger than Luke (in the positive sense, I'm healthier). Luke was tracking them for at least an entire 24 hours, as in constantly chasing a moving car, without sleep.
