Can we PLEASE have shorter wait times?

I'm not trying to keep complaining all the time, but you guys said that we would only be waiting 4 weeks between episodes, yet, its been 3 months.

Can you guys stop making us wait so long? Waiting 3 months for a 2 hour episode is not something fans want.

  • I know I'm basically asking to be wrong and disappointed at this point, but the naive optimist within my mind thinks the fact that episode 4's achievements were up so early means it might be a shorter gap than the past ones.

...don't say anything. Let me live in the illusion please.
  • They have to work on 4 games. But, if it takes to much time to make an episode I expect a good one, and that's what were getting. Great episodes.
  • Sweet baby duck Jesus i hope your right.

  • It takes long because they have to make all the choices and consequences from our choices from previous episodes. They make it as good as possible and make corrections if needed. They also have 4 recording sessions too. It's not like a show where we just act out what was on a script. This is a story made from our decisions which is hard to put all the choices together in 4 weeks. We just need to be patient and have faith :)
  • Hell. I'd wait a bit longer for an episode as good as 102
  • Telltale said these episodes are already pretty much finished months in advance.
It doesn't take 2-3 months to incorporate our choices.

  • I'd rather wait longer and get a good episode instead of getting a rushed episode
  • They're working on 4 games at a time give them a break. every other month isn't that bad it takes time to make games as awesome as this.

Or would you rather they rush making it meaning it wouldn't be as good and would have lots more game bugs
  • wow the day a new episode comes out people are already getting sick of wait times? Jesus people just keep getting worse and worse
  • No.

Heh, if only... I know, I know "quality over quantity"^2xInfinity. Balls deep in infinity.

My issue isn't that the episodes are taking so long (Well, it bothers me a little. But I admit that's me being impatient) but rather that we were promised only a 6-8 week wait period, a promise which they've broken with all of the episodes so far. If you're going to take a long time, please just be honest about it
  • Don't be surprised if those so-called achievements for episode 204 are fake and photoshoped. With technology today it is very easy to make a pic with a list of fake trophies. Someone already made a funny achievement thing for 203. I don't have a link sorry. Just think how the hell can someone leak a game trophies from a system it's not even on yet? Someone is trolling everyone and making them think the achievements are real.
  • No they didn't, they never said that. They said they were finished WRITING their first draft a month in advance that's a big difference. Melissa Hutchinson said they never even started recording until March 22 and I don't think the game was animated yet.

This was the only time I got irritated with the wait because Telltale said we wouldn't be waiting as long as we did before yet we waiting longer. Oh well, I'm not an impatient person, I have a life and this is still the fastest episodic release I've seen so far in gaming. I'd rather wait two months than eight months or seven years. *Cough* Half Life*Cough*

  • Would like to point out that nowhere did Telltale ever said it would be a four week period, they said six to eight weeks on average and don't bring up that stupid FAQ because that was not officially made by Telltale nor is it official in anyway.
  • ps3 trophies can be viewed on ps4 and same with xbox 360 to xbox one just letting you know I would say there is a 30% chance that they are fake

  • So you rather have 1 amazing season rather than 3 average seasons?

    Quality over quantity.

  • If anything they'll probably release the last two episodes together if they have the trophies done. But don't get your hopes up.
  • That's BS I went to my trophies and their not even there. So how can the trophies already be there? And sorry damn I didn't know. I assume they fake because we have photoshop and stuff today geesh.

  • Why do you bring up Half Life? This is simply 2 hour add ons that take way too long to release, while Half Life are retail games.

  • Yep. As long as the plot is good, and the game had great effect/impact on me, I'm good.

  • I for one am getting really tired of waiting 2 1/2 months for an episodic story that is only about 90 minutes in length. The wait time between episodes is pretty ridiculous and by now it should be clear to everybody that Telltale has obviously over-extended themselves. Right now Telltale is working on TWAU, TWD and is in the beginning stages of starting production on that stupid Borderlands game. Apparently Game of Thrones is in the early stages of development as well.

Think about it people...we are waiting longer then we did for Season 1 episodes and we are actually getting less content. Hubs, exploring and interacting with other characters and the environment have pretty much all been downsized or straight out eliminated.

I like the series as a whole, but some of these decisions made by Telltale are questionable at best....

I doubt that will ever happen. The season finale will be a big event for Telltale and they will want to hype it as much as possible before releasing and if they released both episodes at the same time one might overshadow the other. They probably make the trophies well before they make a episode as they wright the story in advance so it's not that hard to make trophies/achievements based around the story.

  • Unless you're planning on setting up a riot at their headquarters, keep the entire staff hostage, and force them to work until the episode is done, I think we're just going to have to be patient. But, hell, I'm fine with the riot idea, too.
  • The game always has a great impact -_- Look at season 1... The episodes were longer and better than season 2. So don't give me that Quality over Quantity bullshit.

Yep. As long as the plot is good, and the game had great effect/impact on me, I'm good.

  • They didn't state it would be four weeks between episodes. It was stated they may release within four to six weeks. With them releasing two games side by side the wait times are unlikely to change.
  • I found season 1 boring, out of place.

I feel more connected to Season 2.

  • Vivian TWAU- ''Ah I see you finally found some humor, I like it :).''

I respect your opinion but your comment doesn't make any sense Lol. Season 1 was not out of place. If it wasn't for season one and Lee helping Clem to survive the ZA then season 2 wouldn't be made. Season 1 theme was based on survival and character development. Season 2 is based off of those survival skills from season 1, character development, and trust. So how was season 1 out of place?

  • If I had to choose between shorter wait times and longer episodes, I'd go with the longer episodes.
