F*ck character development.

Seriously, a mojority of the people introduced in season 2 are so flat, inconsistent or just badly written. Carlos(dog, turbione, 180), Rebbecca(180), Alvin(He died in my playthrough), Luke(his too perfect), Reggie, Carver(Cartoon villian) Jane(Molly 2.0). Nick is pretty much the only new character that I found better written, but his going to die anyway which is a shame. Maybe I am missing a few people, but this is just what I wanted to say. You can downvote me if you want, but this sh*t has been bugging me, since All that remains.

  • I love em, stop bitching. ;)
  • Lol. Nick barely has screen time in this episode. I almost forgot he was even part of the group. That's how bad it is.
The episode was great and I'm usually a positive guy with Telltale's series, but even I have to admit character development was pretty horrible. Carver died too quickly & the 400 Days characters were pretty much left off (Besides Bonnie & a bit of Tavia)
  • Pretty sure you meant 180
  • Will not downthumb. I agree with you. Nick is the only character in the Cabin Group with a dynamic character arc. He had to kill his own mother, he blames himself for causing the deaths of his mom and Pete. He admits that he may be losing it, showing that he has an understanding of his own emotional breakdown. It makes him human, regretting the terrible mistakes he made. It sucks when he didn't get any time at all in Ep3, especially when we saved his ass in Ep2.
  • Thanks.

    Pretty sure you meant 180

Luke is too perfect? Were you even paying attention?

All he did was mess up in this EP.

And I didn't feel like Rebecca and Carlos did 180's at all. They had their reasons to distrust Clem in the first EP, but how they ended up warming up to her felt very natural to me.

Carlos was just being overprotective, Rebecca was going crazy with stress and preggo hormones. You're just not very good at paying attention.
  • You can't say characters did a 180 while claiming they didn't develop.
  • I like some more than others, but I think in ep 3 they all developed, especially Sarah and Clem.

    AND WHAT ABOUT PETE?!?!?!

    AND MIKE?!

    BONNIE?

This episode was good but cjaracter development was bad
Luke is perfect? Well he got caught by Carver so Luke is far from perfect
Carver was good in episode 2 but in episode 3 I dislike his character as some of his lines was annoying
Troy was annoying as he kept saying fuck to much every time you see him
Carlos and Alvin got no character development this episode
  • I don't know why would anyone downvote you, everyone's got an opinion. In fact, I kinda agree. Not that I don't like the new characters, some of them are more dull than the others and some of them are interesting and have a good character development. It's just that I don't feel THAT level of depth in any one of them as much as in the season one. And it affect my personal opinion about the second season, I feel like Telltale is still doing an amazing job, the story is great, Clem is evolving with all the shit she sees and does, however I don't feel that atmosphere as before. Maybe because of Lee.
  • I agree to some extent. I feel like I don't know these characters as much as the ones season 1. Probably, because you can NEVER take the time to talk and learn about them.
