Pierre Shorette ruined the interactions, choices and story consistence of episode 3

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
sorry for my english basic people of telltale and users.

welll this is a writter of the Wolf among us.....first i respect the job of him(in the other serie of wolf....i never play but yeah i respect...)

walking dead season 2 need of writters with different points...why i say this......

well this episode have small interactions, few lines for determinant carácter (alvin and Nick),very bad cameos of the best characters of 400 days....bad telltale this characters need more best treatment, much people wait more participation of they....why i waste time in 400 days only for see Little cameos?really?what happen with they?they survive in comunitty?they survive in campsite?

why not a interaction of shel or becca with clem?why wyatt now is a cold man and never talk of Eddie...or rusell he threaten tavia in my 400 days dlc....and now is a bad guard....

i hope you have more participations with this characters of 400 days in the next episodes...this carácter have much potential and a small cameos is a bad decisión...

what days have clementine in the comunitty?writter not remember this or why not have more interactions with comunitty...why not eat and talk with the other people of comunity...why not help shel and becca for cook......

what is the decisión of this writter...oh yes créate two characters new.....hey mannn you have 400 days why i need new characters...pfff and tavia oh she survive and what happen she...she die?

whay Bonnie not help the old friends of 400 days dlc?

really for my this episode 3 is the more worst...now i have 0% interest in the next episode...much potential of characters ruined for this guy called Pierre Shorette....

this episode need of a writter that participate in 400 days dlc but this guy Pierre Shorette i see never have interest in play fisrt the dlc 400 days dlc for understood the potential of each carácter...

for now this season 2 is the more worst....episode 1 and 2 is good but this episode 3 is fast, with a bad treating of 400 days carácter and bad interaction of characters.

i hope see what happen with 400 days dlc characters in next episode...they survive?they die?the scenes of death or the scene of survive..but what thew hell happen with all...and what happen with the characters that stay in campsite..

what happen with you telltale?you have a goty in season 1..what happen in this season 2?

  • I'm sure he had great plans for the episode but couldn't deliver everything in 90 minutes. Don't blame the writer, blame their new "We now cater to those kinds of pseudo-gamers who only have an hour and a half of free time after dinner before going to sleep" formula.

yeah but i only see a waste of time..each deicision of dlc 400 days..for nothing?in my game russel help nate and he threaten tavia but here is a bad guy guard and not more...

what is the objetive of each carácter of 400 days dlc now?they have participation in next episodes?

  • I feel the same. Personally, I think he rushed this episode, ruined the 400 days characters, and made stupid choices. He better not write the next episode.

i agree with you,i hope the next writter fix this bad treatment of old characters and apply importances in 400 days characters story.

  • Nick Breckon, where are you when everyone needs you?!

Not Breckon, not Shorette. I have come to the conclusion that it's this whole new approach as a whole that's doing this to the season. Oh, and the lack of a lead writer to keep things cohesive, yet interesting like Vanaman. Or that's what it looks like to me.

Nick had his fair share of slips, BTW. EDIT: Although I have come to appreciate more in retrospective, and some of it can be attributed to, again, the whole new approach.

But Episode 2 had the same lenght and it was better, IMO

  • I disagree this was my favorite episode yet
  • I know...I know...Too bad we can't count on the Season 1 writers now, but, you know, from 2 new writes, I prefer Nick.

  • It was mine too of this season, but I feel the events of this episode should have spanned two episodes. The Carver arc was ended WAY too soon and I feel Tavia and the other 400 days survivors were severely underused this episode. Such a waste.

  • well Tavia and the other 400 days survivors could return in ep4 or ep5

  • I liked this Episode, Granted everything i wanted wasn't in it but it was good and it threw me for a loop at those plot twists.
  • I've been advocating everyone I know to play TWD. I have a disk copy of Season 1, and I let people borrow it so they can enjoy it. I do this because I believe that video games can tell stories at a richer level than films and comics, there's an interactivity in them that makes the player more engaged in the story. No other game capitalized on this than TWD, and it is a perfect example of the strength video games have as "interactive narratives."

Episode 3: "In Harm's Way" is the counter-argument to this claim, as there are zero choices from previous episodes influencing this chapter, zero character development outside of Bonnie redeeming herself, and zero known consequences or benefits gained from what little choices are present. TTG has totally dropped the ball in this, their most recent chapter in what should be the pinnacle of interactive story-telling, and that makes me sad.
  • Season 1 is truly a masterpiece.

  • probably now i check and Nick breckon participate in 400 days dlc with other writters but this guy Pierre shorette never have interest in play the dlc and check the potential of each characters of 400 days...

best characters vince, shel, becca, wyatt, rusell and this guy only add a small cameos of each and 2 new characters...

have 5 characters with much story(remember dlc 400 days)and only have the genius idea of add 2 new characters whit nothing of story....

god i hope the next episode have a new writter.....400 days characters have the relation of friend Eddie wyatt, shel and becca, vince and why he kill other guy...rusell and the relation of frieend with nate...etc....much potential and Pierre not see this...

    Fingers crossed for Breckon

please telltale for next episode amid the ruins contacts with the writters of 400 days dlc and please add interactions, this season need work in the interaction of characters..
  • I did feel rushed through the episode. For example I would be asked to do a chore (like loading the magazines with Bonnie) than 5 seconds later be asked to do another chore than be asked to see Carver. . . HOWEVER I loved the episode. Best so far of Season 2 with the action and story progression.
  • other plothole of this guy Pierre shorette is the reaction of luke...if Nick die in ep 2 never question what happen with him....really a terrible writter..
  • Im confused, I thought Nick breckon was the writer? Did he leave?
  • edited May 2014
telltale change for this ep 3 for Pierre shorette i not understood the reason but i hope the next ep 4 is writter for Nick or other that participates in 400 days...best characters with much potential and this new guy Pierre have the genius idea of add 2 new character and ignore all...really a wrong decisión..

i hope see more of 400 day characters.

  • I vote gary whitta for episode 4 again!
  • Yea I agree with clem unless telltale gets their head out of their Arse then theres not really much the writers can do but rush everything into that 90 minute mark. Telltale needs to understand that people want more not less and im hoping that for episode 4 and 5 they get this through their thick skulls.

I'm sure he had great plans for the episode but couldn't deliver everything in 90 minutes. Don't blame the writer, blame their new "We now c

  • And what's even sadder is this is first (and hopefully last) episode of this entire franchise where I didn't feel very attached to Clementine. And I honestly don't know why. It's partially because most interactions between her and others feel very myopic and constrained. Like she'll talk to someone who will ask her to do something for their gain. No real personal conversations or deep insights this time. IDK.

You can't blame the 400 days characters on one writer. There was obviously plenty of other people's input on how to handle it as well as discussing how to handle the imports of their decisions. It's fine if you want to say they were done bad (so far, they were.), but it's not the fault of a single writer.

this guy Pierre shorette is a writter of Wolf among us i i think he never understood the walking dead game....the potential of characters of dlc 400 days is much but this guy not see this...really i see a inconsistent episode with much plotholes...example why alvin kill George?why luke never question what happen with Nick(example in the concecuence od Nick die)...small interaction scenes and a very few time of game...really before of episode i think in interact with comunnity or what time happen in the comunitty...but this guy Pierre a newbie or amateur writter not see this..

  • Hey guys this is my favorite episode this season...I'm not here to complain just to say I enjoyed this episode. I'd figure there should be one positive comment here.
  • This episode was a masterpiece.
But the "90 minutes" thingy is the cause of all the wasted potential.
Hell, the writer could write the episode in gaming history, but putting all together in 90 minutes ? No way, you know.

i am dissapointing for the bad treatments of characters with much potential...example 400 days characters....i wait much for see more participations of this characters only for a very small cameos...really and new writter have the genius idea of add 2 new characters?man they have 400 days characters with much potential but they decide add 2 new characters with nothing of story...pfff really i not understood.
