Nothing to Look Forward to?

In 202's Next Time trailer, there was the theories of 'I thought you were dead', in 203's there was 'Whats Carvers camp gonna be like? Is Tavias group also Carvers? What does this mean for the 400 days survivors?' and now in 204's next time trailer, there's practically nothing to be hyped for apart from the fact its a telltale episode that continues The Walking Dead.

Is it just me or do you feel a bit underhyped for episode 4? Normally after completing an episode, im hyped as shit for the next one, but not so much for episode 4.

What about you?

  • In all honesty, I was watching the trailer, and I was expecting something, ANYTHING, to occur, even at the end that would get me hyped. But there was nothing. Sarah ran off, we found her glasses, so she'll probably be found dead....and the group gets surrounded by Walkers.

There is nothing making me looking forward to this episode.
  • I feel the same way. im like, what am I waiting for? why a I here there's like nothing to talk about?!

that next time on the walking dead was VERY vage and had NOTHING to talk about, and was practically useless.
  • Could be a good thing, means we wont be expecting much, we could then be in for a great treat.

  • There IS nothing to look forward to. They kind of made it mysterious how Kenny is gonna look like, but we already know his eye will most likely be useless, so he will get himself an eye patch or something. The most interesting thing so far is the whole Sarita situation and that wasn't shoown in the teaser. All in all, I am quite underhyped. Complete opposite from what I was after 202.
  • I kind of get what you're talking about. I guess we can wonder what happened to Sarah and what Kenny is going to do when he finds out Clem cut off Sarita's arm, and also what kind of character Jane is going to turn out to be (and what her backstory is).
  • Well for an episode such as "Amid The Ruins" that originally had plenty of hype even before previous episodes released, it looks like all that hype sorta went away.
  • The slide still makes me think I'm going to like this episode, but yeah. The preview was a little dull.
  • Because ep.4 imo is going to be a hub episode.Thats something to look forward to right?
  • Just give up on the hubs, mate. They ain't gonna happen.

  • Well since it didn't really leave at a cliffhanger and it didn't have alot of things interesting in the previews i'm thinking it might.

    Nothing to look forward to?

Rebbeca will be giving birth, Sarah is still missing, Sarita is biten and/or lost her arm, the rest of Carvers group might be chasing after us and many other awesome stuff and thangs are gonna happen to(Eddie and Nate confirmed for Season2). I am as hyped as always, for this episode!
  • that's that sorta thing you had in season 1 episode 1 in the drug store. Where you ran around talking to everybody. It's something nice to have, but I think it's really overrated by this community and treated as some kind of solution to all problems season 2 has. It would probably only end up eating away more time off that new goddamn 90 minute standard Telltale now follows with their episodes. Running around in a hub is nice, but not if it turns out to give us even less story per episode.

Sorry if I sound stupid, but what's a hub? O_o

  • Oh, I see now. Thanks =)

  • I'll read those Ep4 trophy thingies and compared to the preview...

Feels like Ep4 is going to be the real downhill episode. I still have hope, but why does it feel like all major events are over? Carvers dead n' all? Do we after this episode have real goals other than meet up with people now?

    There's only Christas fate left?
  • I'm excited to see Kenny's new eye, I hope he still looks pretty after it heals.
  • I'm looking forward to see what that episode 4 slide is about, it's really creepy and the music is like it's straight from SH.

This. Also the Intro-Picture for the Episode alone would be interesting enough to find out about. The Preview wasn't bad, maybe not the best one so far, but with that Picture, it doesn't really need to be.

  • It would be nice to have a little more hub and a confirmation to continue so that way you have the chance to either find things for people such as food clothing exc. And if you could also give things people don't like. But I would love for them to come out with episodes faster I have alot of there games and includes the wolf among us. They would make alot more money and not having people like me wondering if it's worth waiting for the next one

  • Ep.4's slide gives me more hype than the preview......
  • Ik everyone has said this by now, but I agree about the absence of hype for the next episode. It looks...dull. Not just with events but there's only two colors: brown and orange. God....I didn't even have hype for last episode's "Next time" trailer. The cliffhangers are really spiraling downhill ever since the first episode's cliffhanger.
  • A bit unhyped???? Did you see the Episode 4 slide!?!? I don't know about you but if that doesn't hype you up, I don't know what does
  • Agreed. Hopefully the episode 4 slide doesn't end up meaning absolutely nothing like the episode 3 one did, though.

  • I'm probably looking forward to episode 4 more than I was any of the others. Now I actually know who's who and have a little trust for what remains of the cabin group, and everyone's a fucking mess out in the middle of a herd of zombies. What's NOT to look forward to?
  • kevin bruner did say on his twitter that if you liked episode 3 than they sure do have an episode 4 cooking p for us

  • Well, 202's just showed Troy and Johnny tracking the cabin group. Which happened.

I always thought episode 4 depicted that scene when the group was sneaking into Crawford through the sewer.

    ...I'll give you episode 5. Clem's hair wasn't even right. :S

  • You're wrong, My friend. TTG is taking the story to a very interesting spot, Not sure how they're gonna shape it, But it is doing so. Episode 3 was more like a new beginning, Like Episode 1 of Season 1. It's exactly the same. Hope the course of events gets improved this season.
  • Actually, it wasn't that much of time on TWD's timeline.

It's been what? Four days since Clem got separated from Christa?

    I hope she's still out there.... it's been a long time. =(

Well, in A House Divided, the group spent 5 days walking, and then there were a couple days spent in Carver's camp, and a day or two back at the cabin/truck/shed. Plus, if Christa was alone, I don't think she would have lasted very long - or wanted to, for that matter.

  • Episode 4 might be the best one yet. And I never pay the "Next Time" trailers much mind, because they can be very foggy many times about what events truly will unfold. However the "Launch" trailers that come out roughly a week before the episode is what I pay close attention to. As for "In Harm's Way" I think episode 3 was great. It exceeded my expectations and the only complaint I had. was that it still felt a bit too quickly ended. I think it could have lasted at least another 20 minutes. I found the fate of Carlos to be shocking as well. And I was glad they wrapped up Carver by the end of this episode.

    Well, let's see...

We'll find out if Sarita and Sarah lives or dies
Rebecca goes into labor in the middle of a walker attack.
And, chances are good that the folks back at Carver's camp are going to be tracking them down for killing their leader.

So, that's three things to look forward to in E4.

Who knows, maybe we'll learn more about why Luke's group chose to escape Carver's camp (Rebecca did say that Carver was much worse than they had remembered) or what Kenny had been up to these last 16+ months.

To say there's nothing to look forward to/that the episode will suck based on the trailer alone is rather presumptuous.
  • Yeah, for the 2nd episode, we had a bunch of things to look forward to. I don't doubt TellTale will run out of ideas or I don't think nothing will happen in the next episode but the "next time on TWD" teaser was much more underwhelming than the last one. I bet the actual trailer will be better. I think when we start to play the 4th episode, our expectations will be low (maybe) but when we finish we'll think it was as good or better than the previous episodes. Idk, I'm hoping it'll still be good.
  • I guess we get to look forward to Rebecca having her baby. I shall name it 'Omid the second'
