Why didn't they escape along the wall?
Tavia and other guards were shooting on the roof, but they still chose to go through the herd which caused Carlos shot and dead... Why didn't they just escape along the wall?

  • Because the sound was drawing the lurkers to the building, and the wall is sort of built around... the building... They'd just be going in circles.
  • i'm more disappointed with how the speakers were done. the way they made it sound, you turn on the speakers for the parking lot, and it draws the herd and carver's group to the front letting everyone else sneak away out the side. instead, everything goes off and the place is surrounded with carvers people split up all over the wall.
  • Well, there were probably walkers all around the building, with the main body of the herd passing in front. The speakers were also facing out at all directions, drawing walkers from all around, not just the herd that was near the front. It would have been strange had the building NOT been surrounded.

  • the camp wasn't just one building, tho. and the way rebecca explained it, the speakers were for the parking lot, which meant they'd be able to get away while carver's people focused on one area, and the herd was already trying to pass them at the time you turned it on, which caused 'em to totally surround the place. maybe we should just blame luke for this 1 since it was his job to keep an eye on where the guards were so the group could avoid them.
