New additions to the group (Ep.3 In Harm's Way SPOILERS)

There are now 2 new member's to the group: Jane and Mike

What are your opinions about these two? How long do you think they'll last? Do you trust them with your life?

Like I had mentioned before, I like Jane. She reminds me of Molly. I'll admit that she does seem a tad bit crazy, but she is someone you would want as an ally. I'm pretty sure she'll make it till Ep. 5. I also think I can trust her.

As for Mike, I like him. He seems like a tough guy and someone that can be a right-hand man. I know that I can trust him, but I'm starting to have doubts if he'll make it to Ep. 5.

Comments

  • I think Mike is cool. He seems like a guy who can get things done, and I'd be willing to put my life in his hands. I really hope that he makes it to the end of the Season. I also like the friendship he and Kenny seem to have going for them, as it reminds me of Ken and Lee in Season 1. From the Episode 4 preview, it looks like we'll be seeing more of him which is one of the parts I'm looking forward to the most.

Now Jane... Jane... Jane Jane Jane... I don't like her. At all. Given her lines in the preview about the rest of the group all dying, she seems like an incredibly selfish and survival oriented character. She's willing to leave an entire group of people, including a pregnant woman, to die just to save her own skin. To me, that says that she's more likely than not to do the same to Clem if things ever go to shit in the future. The rest of the group might not be as good at surviving as she is, but I know that they've got my back. To the bitter end, if need be, and I'll be returning the favor. Take a hike, Jane.
  • Yeah... Jane's a bit, how did Reggie put it? Oh yeah, "fuckin' weird." I don't know about trusting her just yet.

Also to put as a cool parallel, both Molly and Jane slept with people to get out of bad situations.

I like them. I like mikes voice and his SICK scar, I think clem is going to have one like he does.

I really like jane, I think im the only one. it seems to me that she knows what she is doing. in the "next time in the walking dead" it seems like she is testing clementine(NOT manipulating). she asks clem what to do with those walkers, how to kill them withoutt drawing attention. jane askes in a way that she wants to know if clem knows, if he knows how to do it the right way. also jane already knew about the guts and being able to walk through a heard, so did clem. and jane heeps her hair short. so does clem.

I think jane is trying to teach clem to survive... hint: in the episode 4 achievments it says "leaned new skills"
I think that jane sees clem as a younger her. but I also think jane doesent know how much clem knows. I thinks jane will be shocked by all the knowledge clem has and her survival skills, and by all the 'stuff' she has ALREADY been exposed, and that clem hasten broken down yet.

when you get the walkie talkies, jane says something like : I told you you wouldn't die, good job kid" and then clem can say something like : "it was nothing" or "thanks" or "i was scared" and when you respond to her, it says she will remember that and she looks at you with a face of... how do I put this... I don't know but its like she is proud of clem.

she can be kind of like a mentor for clem (NOT LEE 2.0) but someone who will give clem a few tips, if clem doesn't know them all already XD.
and I thinks Jane would kind of look over clem. and that she wont be a person to leave clem to die like some people make her out to be.
so ya I like Jane a lot! :) one of my faves.

  • You're not the only one, I like Jane too. I think Clem has a thing or two to learn from her.

  • Can't shake the feeling that Jane is Molly's little sister.
  • I really like both of them so far. Mike is pretty much the only person who has ever realized that everyone is alright with letting a little girl do dangerous shit - although I still agreed to do all the dangerous shit, but still, it's nice to have that factor. Also, I liked when he caught Clem, it was cute. I hope he lasts a while. And in regards to Jane, I hope she will become less Molly-like so people can stop saying she's a Molly clone. I think the speech she gives to Clementine in the episode 4 preview - that Clementine can't be held down by weak people in her group (a lot like Carver's philosophy, tbh) - is a defining moment for her character.
  • Mike seems like a good guy. As said above, I wanted to give him an enormous hug and scream THANK YOU when he pointed out that everyone was making Clementine do all the work, haha.

Jane...I'm not sure about. She rubs me the wrong way, especially after episode 4's preview.
  • i like both but Jane is kind of a psycho
  • they can't bring molly back so jane was created
  • I like Jane she is tough same with Mike.
  • He got shot

Mike is cool. Jane... She seems to be out for herself, I'll be careful around her.
  • I really like Mike. He seems like a jerk at first, but when he began joining group discussion it shows that he isn't always like that. I also like how he and Kenny managed to find common ground even though they have been brawling.

Regarding Jane, I get more of a Michonne vibe from her. I see her more as being a teacher to Clementine about how to properly survive in the Zombie Apocalypse. I would like to see more of her in episode 4.
  • I like Mike, he reminds me of me. An asshole when I'm tired, he didn't want to risk Clementine (I would have done the same), and he tries to defuse situations.
  • I like them both, but I feel like we've gotten less of picture of Mike than we have of Jane so far and that he's going to be less important to the plot. Which I find good because women in the spotlight are always great, and if the teaser can be trusted, EP4 will focus on Jane and her tough and pragmatic but harsh attitude a lot.
