Clementine and Rebecca... bonding?

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
Both Rebecca and Clementine watched Carver die. I'm still iffy on how that will play out, but do you think that by watching Carver's demise it brought them closer together? It's like they share something in common now. Rebecca saw Carver as the murderer of her husband and the destroyer of her life. Clementine saw him as the evil and darkness produced by the apocalypse and the future she doesn't want to become. If watching the death brought them any closer, then maybe it brought them together. I would include Kenny, but I think Sarita is about to die so I don't know how he will act.

I've been hoping for them to get closer so hopefully we'll see more bonding next episode once they (hopefully) get the chance to talk about Alvin's death. The baby finally coming would also be a good opportunity to bring up Christa and to revisit Rebecca's concerns about being a mother (which might get worse with Alvin gone).

Edit: Maybe you should mark this thread for spoilers.
  • Well, to me it felt like they bonded the most when she let Clem listen to her baby's kicks. And then when Clem comforts her after losing Alvin.

Rebecca does say Clem reminds her of her younger self, too.

  • DAAAAWG. Clem and Rebecca iz the tightest bruthahs in the history of bruthahs!
  • I liked Rebecca in this episode. I finally saw the character behind the archetype, and she was active as fuck in the group's discussions. :) I want to talk to her next episode about all that's happened... we both have things to say, I imagine.
  • Rebecca and Clem bonding will never happen in my playthrough, short of something MINDBLOWING. And no, her giving birth doesn't count. What kind of dumbass has a baby in the zombie apocalypse?(Lori) She'd have to give Clem a chainsaw on a pole or something for me to warm up to her.
  • I would like more Clementine and Rebecca bonding (heck, I want more Clementine bonding with everyone), but I dunno. Bonding over watching Carver getting his face bashed in by Kenny is kind of dark.
  • She's actually quickly become one of my favourites in the Cabin Group. Never thought I'd be saying that when I first played episode 1.
