So, did the writer's forget?
I'm a little disappointed and wondering if anyone caught an explanation or a resolve to this plot thread.
In episode one, Carlos described Sarah as being different from other girls and if she knew what was really happening in the world, she would "cease to function," or something along those lines....anyways, I thought Sarah...handled the walkers pretty well when she saw the...in fact...i'd say she acted exactly like anyone else...or maybe, handled it even better. She was just a plain, normal, sensitive girl. She certainly didn't cease to function, at least, until Carlos died...which is perfectly understandable.
Anyways, honestly, I'm pissed off that episode 1 built this with Sara and yet it went NOWHERE. I was expecting some sort of interesting conflict with her "breaking down," but alas, there was nothing.I think Telltale is really dropping the ball this season. Other than episode 2 (which I thought was great,) I have found the writing this season to be inconsistent and sloppy. I'm not exactly looking forward to episode 4.

1. Both Clem and Sarah got slapped in this episode. Sarah broke down into a gibbering mess, but Clem took it like a champ.
2. After the slap, she legitimately couldn't function. She couldn't do something so simple as pick berries off of a plant and cut off the dead branches.
3. Sarah freaked out in the middle of the herd and fucked everything up.
I'm not sure if you were paying attention dude.
Sarah got slapped by her own father, that would depress anyone. I wouldn't say she "ceased to function," I'd say she was bothered and couldn't work. "Cease to function," would be total nervous breakdown.
Sarah freaked out cuz she just saw her dad get eaten by walkers would cause anyone to freak out...I wouldn't say this is "ceasing to function."
That's SLOPPY and inconsistent.
Anyone should be able to recognize the massive drop in quality of this season when compared to season 1.
Of course, she'll be different in episode 4, sure, but nothing was handled before that.
Don't get me wrong, we'd all cry and yell if our dad died, but she acted strangely as if she was competing with herself, trying to hold back the pain.
How can you say its going nowhere with sarah, you can even in the Episode 4 Teaser that they found her glasses...meaning that Finding her and then the consequences of your past actions with her will have an impact on what will happen...So i am pretty Sure TT Hasn't Dropped the ball...they just need to add more Hub Areas...
Exactly, what if Carlos cared A LOT, which made him exaggerate and even think improperly? Since just one person says it, it doesn't mean the story must be true. Hell, he perhaps even said it to make Clementine get away from her, so he can shield her more and more, but who knows.
Wrong conclusion.
So, yeah I think Carlos underestimates how strong Sarah could be.
"You gotta consider her a living person, that's it! You're either living or you're not. You ain't little, you ain't a girl, you ain't a boy, you ain't strong or smart, you're alive."
