Clementine gets a boyfriend?

Glenn and Maggie got together at a time of uncertainty, and Lee and Carley looked to have been doing the same. Don't see why Clem needs security.

  • I feel like now that Sarah's dad has passed, there's potential for an organic romantic relationship to develop between the two. It happens, and, especially with kids, especially with a kid who is struggling with mental illness, Sarah might need a lot of emotional and mental support. It doesn't have to happen, I suppose, and it'd be plausible that way, but I definitely see room here for a relationship. And we all know Clem's tough as hell so she could take care of her. And it's just a cute ship the way I'm playing. I play Clem as a gruff, embittered kid who wishes she had her innocence back, and the gruff/bitter compliments the sweet/naive of Sarah very well.

  • I feel like my Clem would have taken him up on that. Maybe thrown the "if you test me, I'll pass every time" line back in his asshole face.

Me too, hopefully we'll get something like that in episode 4. About Carlos slapping her, I think Clem wanted to say something, but Carver

  • Well, that makes me sad. She's still a kid and should focus on being a kid. I don't know whats with young people being in such a hurry to "grow up" and get into relationships, there is plenty of time for that later in life. You only get to be a kid once, enjoy it!

Jeez you should see how many relationships my 11 year old sister deals with. And I'm freaking 3 years older than her and I haven't even gotten into that stuff yet. xD

So clique and cheesy no thanks I play the walking dead for character development, violence and gruesome scenes we only get an hour and a half I'd just find it boring and unnecessary they have more important issues like surviving my Clem will be the next Rambo a lone wolf

Btw I loved your TLOU character relationship reference but brings back to many feels for me when think about Tess what a hero
  • Oh damn, apologies. I read it as Sarita. Now I DO feel stupid.

If you think Sarah is indian, you should take a good long look at my name before burning any copy of the game you own.

  • Yeah, you're right. I wasn't reading it correctly. Sorry.

that was Sarita, Kenny's gf. Sarah is hispanic.

  • But being badass is sort of an adult theme, and it's the only adult thing she can do. And no people, I'm not talking about you-know-what, but a romantic interest that may turn into something in the future? Why not?

Being in relationship dramas just doesn't seem that badass to be honest. xD

  • I respect your opinion, but I honestly believe Sarah and Clem have a sisterly relationship at most. In episode 3, if you choose the mean responses when you talk to Sarah, Sarah snaps at Clem in a way that sisters would when they're quarreling. The whole "I'm older than you, your just a little girl, I know better" etc. Which when you think about it is a lot stronger bond than a romantic bond would be. Again, I respect your opinion, but I want to get my opinion out also.(If that's alright) :-)

Thanks. I just hope people don't mistake my outlandish opinion for trolling. I took my time to think and formulate that opinion, and I don't fuck around when I discuss Clementine's future. I only want what's best for her.

  • Definitely. A sisterly bond is much more likely for Clementine and Sarah. I just think that if either of them, or certainly both of them, felt the need to have someone to hold and to love on a deeper level, that they would most likely turn to each other. I would be surprised if Clementine was content to live on without someone like that in her life. For now, it's understandable since she is only 11 years old and surely has much greater concerns than love, but if she and Sarah continue to survive together and bond as they have, I feel that they may find the kind of happiness in each other that they have never found in anyone else.

Needless to say, I will be crushed if Sarah dies any time soon... I'm very afraid of that, in fact.

Well, chances that she is a lesbian are about 1-2% and it partly depends on her upbringing, not entirely on genetics. Better don't sexualize her at all, open things are better to discuss about and can't annoy anyone.

  • Truer words have never been said.

    Well, that's debatable.

  • Honestly, with this forum all you have to do is say the word "gay" and all the dudebros come crawling out of the woodwork to complain. It's pathetic.

There's a thread going on right now about Bonnie/Luke being a possibility. Bonnie/Luke has got pretty much the same amount of in-game proof and likelihood that Nick/Luke has, but guess which one gets pages upon pages of vicious hate speech? Not the straight one, that's for damn sure.

I know, I've experienced it firsthand. It's kind of jarring for me since I'm used to Tumblr where almost everybody is accepting of LGBT+ people. Sometimes I forget homophobia is so commonplace IRL and on other parts of the internet.

You should probably stop teasing other people to raise your low self-esteem, because honestly, you don't know shit about us.

  • Can we just end this? Just think about it, you're talking about creating a relationship with an eleven year old. That's fucking weird. It's the zombie apocalypse, the last thing anyone needs is more damn drama.
  • Not to mention we have two threads about it now apparently.

Says great things to any forum newcomers that this is actually a long topic of discussion around here. :S

  • I think Clem/Sarah is cute, too. There's kind of an age gap, but to be fair, it's the zombie apocalypse and their maturity levels sort of balance it out.

This may be a very unpopular opinion, but I don't see any romantic options for Clementine at the moment other than Sarah. The age gap betwee

  • It'd be a big hurdle dealing with the moral guardians, unfortunately. Look at the outcry over Mass Effect. Now imagine that with kids. Doesn't matter that there's no sex or anything. Gay content's typically enough to get something rated R by the MPAA. Americans are shits that way. Which is to say, if Telltale does it anyways, I'll be in love with them forever. You don't like gays, carpet munchers, queers, sausage massagers, butt pirates or whatever you want to call them just because they're gay there is one thing I want to say back. Why should anyone care what you think? The moment you showed that you hate a minority just because they're different you showed that any opinion you have is automatically invalid and that you are a sad pathetic wretch.

I guarantee you that if Bonnie/Luke had as much subtext as Nick/Luke does, everyone would be saying they're in love.

  • I forgot about that. There's this huge stigma that if you make a child character anything but straight, you're "sexualizing" them, which is total bullshit and extremely offensive to LGBT+ people. The excuse that kids are too young to start questioning their orientation is BS too, I've talked to people who've said they've been attracted to the opposite gender for as long as they can remember, even before adolescence.

  • Mm, to be honest, I see less validity in Nick/Luke now, I kind of more just feel like Nick's got a thing for Luke and it's not reciprocated. But there's something... not quite straight there, nevertheless.

But yeah, no, absolutely, I've been comparing Nick/Luke to Carley/Lee from the beginning. Now that Bonnie/Luke is apparently becoming a thing... I dunno. I can honestly see them both having unrequited feelings for Luke and personally I hope that's the direction Telltale chooses to take it in. Not banking on it, though. Telltale seems to only want to introduce LGBT+ characters if they can kill them off in the same episode.

  • Clem X Carl for life!

no Seriously. Stop this shit. She doesnt need a boyfriend in the goddamn apocalypse. Yes, romance is still existent, but we dont need that in the game. Its a game on keeping a little girl alive, not some post apocalyptic dating sim.
  • I know, buddy, it's fine.

The mods on this forum need to start cracking down on hate speech. This is getting really uncomfortable and really out of hand. We should be allowed to say "I don't think this character is straight" without getting attacked so viciously. Simply saying you have a harmless theory about a character does NOT warrant the amount of backlash it gets. It's disgusting and uncalled for and I'm sick of seeing it, because I go to the Tumblr community, I don't SEE this kind of shit. It's ass-backwards and it's pathetic and it makes me feel like I can't fully voice my opinions on the forum.

  • Forgive my ignorance, but why is not having any romantic or sexual desire a good thing? Those are pretty large aspects of the human experience and not really something that I want Clem to miss out on. It's like saying you want Clem not to have a food she really likes or a hobby she's really interested in. Doesn't that make her life a little less rich? Apologies to anyone who might be offended by my assessment. I'm honestly just curious.

Well putt it this way, i'm straight and I see the possibility of Clem being into girls the same way that I would see my own daughter (if I had one) being into girls. As long as she is happy with the person she is with who cares.

I still don't know why people are still talking about Clem getting in a relationship though, she is still physically a child.

Anyway don't be afraid to voice your opinion, most of the people on here a good folks. As long as your opinion doesn't involve supporting pedophilia hate speech or anything like that lot of other people on here will defend your opinion if people attack it :)
