What? I meant the mental picture of stuff coming out of Luke's ass (in a sarcastic way), not WtW's avatar. Sorry if it came across that way.… more Reading over it again... yeah, it was kind of creepy in that context. I wasn't trying to make any advances on anyone.
Yes this bothered me too. At first I wasn't sure if he was acting weird because of new writer ignorance/laziness or if it was deliberate. But realizing that all other plot threads/characterization in the previous episodes seem to have been basically dumped in ep3 I'm more inclined to think the former. :(
Actually i thought you meant that too when i read the comment and couldnt understand the peoples reaction:) guess some are quick to jmp into conclusions without thinking

It's okay. My post was a bit vague as to what "picture" I was talking about, and I do think it's cool that you call out creepy/inappropriate stuff like what you thought I was saying. It was just a misunderstanding brought about by a lack of context in my post, so we're cool.
I doubt anyone wants to picture anything coming out of anyone's ass. That's naaasty..
Oh! My apologies. I'm very glad you didn't mean it that way, I was worried! Sorry to make you seem like a jerk!
And yeah haha speaking literally, I don't exactly want to imagine anything coming out of Luke's ass, either, lol.

Clementine can intentionally get him killed, especially with the Line to Carlos.
Carlos: Where's Nick?
Walter: I don't know.
Clementine (Optional): Walkers got him.
Behaviour? what behaviour?
oh I am sorry, I didn't SEE him ENOUGH to analyze him in this episode..how many lines did he have 7? 9?
*sigh*
I was so entertained by the interaction between Kenny and Nick and I wanted to see more...I wish they would reward us you know? Like If you save Carly then you get to tell your past, save Alvin and he prevents the PA being turned off..Nick is really interesting but god dang it.
I guess by what everyone is saying...he might have a big role in ep4, longest determinant character to live you know.

Well, the name of the sixth achievement for episode 4 is "All Fall Down", as in "ALL Fall Down"...which indicates most of the characters, determinant or not, are going to meet their maker. I think we can expect a "Charge of the Light Brigade" type scenario where almost everyone besides Clem is slaughtered, with each survivor being granted their own dramatic death sequence. That would be as good a time as any for Telltale to give Nick a memorable send-off.
I suppose they could go the angle that Nick is developing a new outlook because Walter forgave him. Unfortunately, I can't construe what little dialogue we got in this episode towards that interpretation. Perhaps next episode.
I posted a thread on this same topic. I don't think it's lazy writing, as much as Nick's personality being given a pleasantly surprising tur… morenaround. If you compare Nick's behaviour in this episode to his nihilistic monologue in the shed at the beginning of episode 2, you'd be amazed at how much his attitude has changed. I don't know if it has anything to do with Clem giving Pete's old watch to Nick, as it's determinant, but I prefer to think so.
Come to think of it, that might be a good angle Telltale could use for Nick's "arc": While everyone else becomes increasingly gloomy, Nick goes through an opposite transformation. By the time he ultimately dies, he's one of the only characters left who still believes things will work out for the best.

Nice... I can totally see that being the case, but I'd like some more interactions with Nick that show that; either through optional conversations (not gonna happen) or reflected with his actions in the next episode.
The more I think about this the more confused I am. Why did Nick get all that beautiful buildup in ep2 for him to just behave completely inconsistent in ep3 even when most people saved him? The shed scene in ep2 is one of my favorites from s2 so far and it just feels wasted.
I'm sure we would have seen his normal self, had the new writer actually remembered to give him lines. :P
He had literally like 7 lines.
Two in the truck.
One when they meet reggie.
Two with Clem about the beds.
One when he agrees with Luke about holding off the plan.
One before they enter the hoard when he doubts they will all make it.

Nike was a nonfactor, I barely noticed him. That's because he got the "determinant" status which means he's fucked by the time this is over, he's probably moping about that.
Ah well, it was better than Alvin got, I won't complain.
The little chat he had with Clem, that "Us Guys" moment where he expresses Luke is most certainly still out to help them, I thought that was… more fine, but after that? He is just there to echo Luke's words and that's it. He got a cute line with Kenny, but it is of no real consequence.

It would be pretty funny if he was like this all the way to the end like everybody's dead but clem and nick and then nick say's were all that's left and clem say's owe your still alive I through you died in the herd or something lol.
"Luke is right"
"Luke's got the right idea."
"Luke would never leave us."
Practically every sentence he has in the entire episode has to do with Luke...
Right around the time you used the word "nihilistic"? Jokes aside, they're easy terms to understand. Or they should be if people like talking about a piece of fiction at length.
Maybe it's my fondness for reading that's at work here but I don't see how the words are "big". It just seemed like an easier way to get my point across.
Nick is my favorite character from this season and I surely was disappointed how they treated him in ep. 3. I can't help but think it's because of a new writer and Nick's determinant status BUT that's no excuse to treat him like he's already dead and forgotten. Compared to for example Carly who was also determinant but had plenty to offer before her inevitable death, Nick was just... there. His supposed best buddy Luke doesn't even mention his absence if you actually got Nick killed in ep 2. Sounds rather lazy writing to me.
I certainly hope ep 4 makes up for this. It would be such a shame if all that beautiful buildup for Nick was wasted. If they will just shrug and say he got lost in the horde or something, I'm gonna be pissed.
I'm not entirely sure how the word "nihilistic" automatically causes the human brain to connect to "film thesis", but whatever. I'm not imbuing the game with anything I don't feel is already there.

Don't insult Telltale over this. Everybody's all like "release the episode faster!" "why are they so slow?!" and then everybody complains that the gameplay is short or there's things that could've been longer or whatever... Telltale can't satisfy everybody. And it's not like they have magical powers to slow down time so they can put in more elements to their game :(
It's Telltale being lazy, because Nick can die in episode 2, and if he doesn't, Telltale has to make him in the next episode. I was surprised he didn't die in this episode...
In my opinion making him a determinant character in the first place was a big mistake. He was one of Season 2's most interesting characters and a fan favorite. Then he got a lame determinant death in Ep. 2 and was reduced to just being "there".

So sorry for thinking you were a creep.

You can mold her into quite the sociopath. xD

Nice icon btw. "The Last Man on Earth" starring Vince Price, right?
