Kenny & Luke - Shane & Rick

I have the impression that Kenny and Luke are a bit like Shane and Rick, let me explain myself.

Kenny and Shane are kinda alike, both takes hard decisions for the group, both likes to be in charge, and both gets easily angry

Luke and Rick shares same caracteristics, both kind, wants to protect everyone, and avoid killing people as much as possible.

The last scene with Carver in Harm's way illustrates it pretty much,
Luke dont want to shoot him and propose to tie him up whearas Kenny dont hesitate and shot him and later ruin the dudes face. (Hi Omid)

What do you think ?

    Hmm, I'm not really familiar with TWD other than the game, but didn't Rick and Shaun fight for Carl's attention? This is yet another similarity.

    Well Rick becomes, well, a dick. He becomes a 'shoot first ask questions later' kind of person, doesn't care for most of his group and wouldn't be considered kind.
    I don't think either resemble the characters though, all of them are unique in their own way.

    We'll see how it plays out but I don't think Kenny will go full Shane, he still has some humanity and does what he has to and that's what we need in this world not a super friendly kind hearted high school dream lover boy.

    In a way, yes, but not really.
    While Shane and Rick have a long history, and shane screwed ricks wife, Kenny and Luke know absolutely nothing about each other. They are simply paired together for one job and that is it. They are both also taking leadership, but that is how the series has been. Usually two people to lead the group.

    Season 1, Episodes 1-3 was Lilly and Kenny leading the group, with lee being a slight third, but not exactly.
    Season 1, Episodes 4-5 was Kenny and Lee leading the group.
    Season 2, Episode 1 was Luke and Pete.
    Season 2, Episode 2 and 3 was Luke and Kenny.

    It usually is always two people leading. Now onto the TV series:
    Season 1 and Season 2 was always Shane and Rick leading the group.
    Season 3 was Rick and Daryl, pretty much.
    Season 4 was an exception where Rick stepped down and control was placed in the hands of a council, which had Sasha, Hershel, Tyreese and Carol.
