Did you.. cut it?

What I mean is.. did you cut Sarita's limb off? The minute I saw the choice results, I felt terrible... The whole bar was against me. During that chapter, I thought "Oh.. Carlos is dead.. I shouldn't cut it off since she'll probably die from the whole blood loss.. we don't even have medical kits to help her anyway. I'm not gonna make her suffer for no reason." But now that I think about it, I really regret it due to the fact that I cut off Lee's arm and he didn't die from the blood loss.

So what did you think during the whole cut Sarita's limb section? Do you regret anything?

  • At first I was like : cut it off to save her, but after the scream I felt like I made a terrible choice.
  • I cut it off then remembered that one rule from the comics and was like.....ooooppppsss! lol

I cut it and i dont regret it
If i didnt she wouldnt even have a chance to survive so i though it was the right thing to do
  • I cut it off and don't regret it. It gives her a fighting chance. The reason it didn't work with Lee was that he waited too long. This was instantaneously much like like Herschel in the show. She should live/ be fine, much like Reggie.
  • Sorry that I don't really read the comics, but what's that 'one rule'?

  • No, I didn't cut it. If she dies she dies human, rather than some mutilated monster. She isn't in India anymore - we don't cut people apart.
  • I imagine a lot of people chopped her arm off, then regretted later. But hey, that's what these games are about. You need to make these decisions in the heat of the moment, with no time to properly think it through (unless you paused the game and thought it through, which I consider to be cheating. :P). It was just instinct to cut the arm off, everyone thought: "Hell, why wouldn't you cut it off?!" Then thought it through and realised: "Hmm...crap."
  • Clem's axe was covered in walker blood. In the comics it has been shown that cutting off someone's bitten limb with an already infected weapon still leads to infection and death.

  • I understand that, but I thought of it like the whole Pete situation. I didn't what to cut it so she could say goodbye to Kenny. I didn't want her to die of blood loss or anything like that.

  • I cut it off and regret it - there was walker blood on the axe and the scream and blood attracts more walkers.
Maybe it would have been a wiser choice to cut it off, after we get out of the zombie herd. :-/

    Regardless she will die. Why?

    1. Even if you cut it off, you used a bloody axe. We all know what happens when Walker blood comes into contact with the human bloodstream.
    2. If you cut it off, its highly likely her scream will cause all the walkers to notice her, by smelling blood, but also her scream.
    3. If you don't cut it, it likely would have been too late to stop the spread of infection if you cut it later. (Example: Lee)
  • Well, the axe had walker blood on it. Everyone knows that if the blood from an infected gets into a non infected blood stream, they will become infected. So thanks to this decision, regardless, Sarita is infected.

  • Nope no way. I've tried to avoid amputations in this game as much as I can. Besides I don't see her surviving either way. I was surprised when I saw that almost everyone had cut her arm off.
  • I mean you are in the middle of a herd of walkers. . .

  • Yeah, that is reasonable... unless it's possible for them to get a clean weapon and cut off a bit more, but they probably don't realize that Sarita's still infected.

  • I feel bad but I don't regret it... She is definitely dead if she keeps the arm, at least by cutting it I can always say that at least I tried to save her.
  • Already happened. *whoosh* Oh look, the dislike storm is leaving. BYE DISLIKE STORM!!!!!

  • The only people who have survived a Walker bite were those who had a limb amputated IMMEDIATELY after the bite.

It was her only chance... and I took it. Not taking the chance was a death sentence anyway, so from Clem's perspective, what was there left to lose?

Doing it with a bloodied axe is risky but that's why that decision is called "Risk" in the first place.
  • Is not everyone already infected?

  • I cut it. I mean she's probably dead anyway but you just met a character who survived by having his arm cut off. In-game wise she has nothing to lose.
