Christa's baby

edited May 2014 in The Walking Dead
I'm sure I'm not the first one to think about this , but what might have happened to him/her? (if it has been told somewhere let me know, I'm new to this place and don't really know sh*t about the wonders of community)

I mean, it's kinda obvious that the baby died, but it would be tempting to know how it happened. Miscarriage caused by Omid's death? I want to hear your opinions about this!!

  • The baby died in the belly of Christa, which makes the baby a zombie, and ate Christa from the inside.
    But Christa is reborn.
  • Reborn as Rebecca. Okay no. What really happened is after Christa gave birth, the baby had died almost instantly and they carried the corpse around for many months until they found a nice spot to settle in. They set up a campfire with a roast and set the baby on the horizontal pole and cooked it. That 's what we saw in All That Remains.

Chances are the baby died, although it is not mentioned by Clem or Christa about the baby fate which is very strange

It's almost like the producers forgot that Christa was ever pregnant lol

  • I think we're led to believe that the baby died from a combination of Christa's grief over Omid's death and lack of nutrients, and that it's a detail we don't need to dwell on to understand what happened. The way this was done bothered me initially, but 3 episodes in and I don't really care anymore, at this point it's fairly unlikely that we'll get the fully spelled out story anyway, or maybe if Rebecca's baby meets the same fate, we can infer what happened with Christa simply by drawing parallels. I'm fairly used to Telltale not explaining everything and omitting what are usually pretty minor details (for instance, Tales of Monkey Island, from the very beginning, LeChuck's back with no explanation of any post-Escape resurrection, but it's LeChuck, he's back now, let's move on with the story). I suppose it's possible that she gave the baby to another group that she and Clementine ran into that are more capable of looking after him/her, but considering this world they live in and the tragedy they face on pretty much a daily basis, I think it's fairly safe to assume that the baby unfortunately died :(
  • What the fuck man... you really expect Clem and Christa to openly talk about her dead baby? Really? It was more than obvious what happened.

It's understandable Christa has not mentioned her baby as she disapeared quick in the first episode

  • My speculation is Clem will say something about it when Rebecca's baby is born.

Rebecca: Clem have you ever see a baby get born in this world and made somebody realy happy like me.
Clem: Well- Telltale: Sorry to interrupt but spoilers are not allowed

My speculation is Clem will say something about it when Rebecca's baby is born.

Miscarriage, babies need a balanced diet, with lots of nutrition. It was probably born very sick ,then died. Then Clementine thought about eating it,
    Does Clementine eat the baby?!
  • If it was a miscarriage then the baby would have reanimated in the womb and christa would be dead.

  • Yep. That's about as stupid of those of which who said "I wish Omid was here..." bringing up her dead boyfriend...

  • In the placenta where a baby is born the baby,s blood is separate from the mother. That is why some children with HIV parents don't have it. I mean this is all make believe , so who knows if it transferred or not.

  • Isn't the whole point that EVERYONE is infected, and turn when they die?
