Yeah, i know, but who else can Nick hook up with? If Nick is gay, he's being gay for Luke, i think it's obvious. And i don't want him to be … morelike that, i want Nick and Luke to be like siblings. But anyway, all in all, Nick can be either straight, or homosexual, or asexual, and i'll still love him just as much! :3
before people on the internet started to see homosexuals everwhere for their own strange reasons (most likely to satisfy their dirty fantasies), there was a thing called brotherly love. To be so close to a friend that you consider him your brother, family. Luke is literally all he has left, since Pete and his mother both died. Of course he would be close to him now, after the world ended.

Nah dude honestly there's always been gay subtext. Read up a bit more on Shakespeare and just... The entirety of Ancient Greece. This is NOT a recent development by any means lol. And do you know why that is? Because LGBT+ folks exist... Wild, I know.

Largely because we have no actual reason to believe he isn't gay. We might have a reason why they could just have a brotherly friendship instead of being gay, but we don't have evidence that they definitely aren't a couple.
Most people who are saying he isn't is 'because he doesn't *seem* gay', which is just really homophobic and assholey.
I am sure most people who think Nick is gay would still agree with you. Including myself.
Your goading and challenging attitude though is what people will have a problem with.
And sure, there would be some people who would have "dirty fantasies" about 2 guys, but the majority of shipping is romantic in nature, not sexual.
You haven't said anything homophobic, but your attitude is not great.

The only hate in this thread is towards people who DO think Nick is gay. If you equate defending yourself or your cause as "hate" then you have no idea what hate really is.
No ones asking you to buckle down and watch gay porn, but saying "it's natural for me to be repulsed by the idea of two men sharing harmless intimacy" is kinda fucked up.
Yeah, Clementine could be gay too because she gave Sarah a hug and wanted to be her friend. That's pretty much the amount of logic being use… mored in this thread. I'm not going after you specifically. I'm just saying that ANYONE could be gay. The evidence presented is hardly sufficient. I don't know why a hug has to mean gay. Until he comes out and says it, I'm not going to make the assumption he's gay. Gays are like 3% of the population, it's highly unlikely that he's gay unless there's GOOD evidence that he is. Everything presented thus far is purely random stuff that could be platonic. I'm just using probability and logic here. I want to hear it from Nick's own mouth before I start making assumptions. Many men and women have close, purely platonic friendships of the same sex. I hate that everyone has to sexualize everything, even Luke and Clem. Some people can't stop thinking about sex, apparently.
Ehhhh as someone who studied Classics at university, I'm going to have to argue about the Ancient Greece thing :p :
For the Ancient Greeks, there was no homosexuality. There was a part of their culture where older men would usually have a sexual relationship with men of about 18 years until the latter married, and some soldiers had sex with each other, but all men were considered to all intents and purposes 'straight', and were all expected to marry. To be honest, there was no such thing as sexuality in their culture at all.

oh, so the new standard is "everyone is gay until proven otherwise?" How does that work? He is considered gay until he kisses a girl? That's just way too overboard. As things stand, he might die before he even gets a girlfriend these days.
I liked the world more before all these gay right activists started forcing these pro-gay things down everyone's throat. No better than these so called feminists these days. Everything was far more simple with the mindset of: "everyone is straight. Until they tell you they are not. Then they aren't." It was simple, everyone was fine with it and the best of all: you don't usually get facts thrown at you you REALLY don't give a damn about and thus don't NEED to know. So what if Nick was gay? Would it MATTER for the story? Hell no, it would just give every gay-rights activist a feeling of victory. (Notice how I only mentioned them, not actual gays themselves, since I bet ya: They THEMSELVES probably don't really give a damn either way)

Actually hooking up with a man and ENJOYING it makes you gay. If you are doing it for money, and do not enjoy doing it, then you are straight as my dick.

If we're going to talk of it in this way, I would argue that they weren't quite "straight" either because this was a completely different culture and from some viewpoints concepts like "straight" and "gay" are culturally enforced rather than innate. But that's going way too off topic. The point of the matter is that dudes fucked dudes.

well, wouldn't be anything new. I get into fights because of my rude attitude all the time. It's alright, though. I like being honest and not sugarcoating my thoughts around people, so I am kinda asking for it.

Thank you. I can get pretty heated, I'll totally admit that, but with people like the guy above just barging in and calling us all "fag lovers," I really don't see how WE'RE the ones hating on people.

The mindset that "everyone is straight until proven otherwise" is so harmful to the LGBTQ community. Yeah, it might be "simpler," but if you apply it to video games or to any sort of media, you then apply it to real life as well. Growing up a lesbian, I was in the closet for so long and people always pushed me to get a boyfriend or asked me if I had any crushes on any men and they never once considered the fact that hey, maybe I don't swing that way. People need to start getting used to the fact that NO, heterosexual is NOT NOT NOT the default orientation. People are not born heterosexual and then turn gay or transgender or bisexual or etc. Kids growing up like me need characters who are open about their orientation so they can feel more open about theirs. And yeah, being gay might not matter to the story, or to you at least, but it matters to those who want to understand the character more and those who want and NEED any representation they can get.
And also, who has ever said everyone is gay until proven otherwise? Lmao. The world is a huge place. There's gonna be gay people, trans people, heterosexual people, everything else on the gender and sexuality spectrum. It's just how it is. Heterosexuality is definitely more predominant, but we exist. We're queer and we're here, if I do say so myself.

Well, as a closet Bisexual (irl), I agree. Nick's reaction at the table in episode 2, when Kenny said that he and Luke looked like a match is my reaction EXACTLY when someone asks jokingly if I'm dating my friend.
I think he has a crush on Luke, but Luke doesn't like him back. BUT, the reason I think Nick was talking so much about Luke in ep3 was because he is a determinant and he couldn't affect the plot so much..
That's a good point actually, I didn't consider that Nick's determinant status might have been a factor. A majority of people (83% last time I looked) kept him alive though.

He's cute either way.
This is coming from a girl :T
I don't know if he feels THAT way about Luke, but you're right about him being his #1 fanboy.
"Luke this, Luke that, Luke is so cool, he'll totally save us all!"
I think it's cute too, how much he looks up to Luke.
They've known each other since they were kids, it could just be a very strong friendship bond.
