Character names and their meanings

So, being bored, I decided to look up some Walking Dead character names and what they meant. A few stuck out to me.

Bonnie--Your name of Bonnie creates an intense desire for association with people and new experiences, many of which have been rather bitter. This name has given you a gregarious personality and a quick-thinking, creative, and versatile nature, but one that is unstable emotionally.

Nick--Your name of Nick has given you an idealistic nature with a desire to help others. Your initiative often causes you to be the first to act when you see a need.

Luke--Your name of Luke has made you practical, systematic, and thorough. This name encourages the expression of leadership and organizational skills, shrewdness, and analytical ability. You see the practical side of situations and tend to deal with problems in an objective, sensible, and systematic way. That is your way of helping others through challenging situations.

Has anyone got any other name meanings that match the character development of others in the game?

  • I read somewhere that Rebecca meant "faithful wife" and laughed. Dunno if it's true or not because I can't find a source for it other than where I first saw it.

  • Not sure if this was said already...

Omid's name is an anglicization of the Farsi word أميد ('ameed), which translates to 'hope'. The fact that hope gets capped in the first 5mins of the season is rather telling.
  • Protector my ass.

  • I'm crying with laughter over this and am now convinced that Telltale does indeed have the meanings of names in mind when they name their characters. They WOULD.
