Do you think they will be able to pull of an ending for season 2 that will be better than seaeson 1?

Season 1's ending was just heart crushing, I think we ALL know that.

But I was wondering, do you think they will be able to pull off an ending for season 2 that will be even SADDER than season 1's ending. BUT without killing clementine!

So do you think they can pull it off?

If you want, try to make up a scenario that would be a sad way to end season 2 and that could possibly be sadder than season 1's.

  • they shouldn't create a sad ending just to top season 1's,@Telltale should do what they do,just write great stories, the rest will fall into place,it needs to have a lot of action ,huge HUBS,maybe some comebacks and some shocks.
  • No, I don't think that it'll be able to top S1's ending. That does not mean it can't be a powerful ending in of itself, I just think that they have it pretty difficult here.

No. And here's why. I don't feel connection between me and the game. I feel a bit more then nothing to cabin group. Why? Because I don't know them, I don't really care if they they die or live. In Season 1 I know everyone, they were like a family. Angry Granddad Larry, Aunt Lilly who seems unfriendly, but she's rather caring deep inside, Uncle Kenny with his wife Katja, weird cousin Duck, Unlucky Brother Ben, Father Lee and Aunt Carley. And Christa and Omid . Death of every single person of the family was very sad. I was attached to them, worried about them.

And what we got here? I can't say I feel like Cabin group is my family. I mean it is still sad when someone dies, but it doesn't last long.

The only chance TTG got to make the ending really touching is to kill Kenny. Because he is practically the only one who I don't want to die. And even if they kill him, it would be a bit similar ending to S1. So I don't know how Telltale can impress me with the ending.

But who knows. I hope I'm wrong and they do impress me and everyone else. We'll see.
  • Exactly! In Season 1 we could talk with the rest of a group once in a little while. Things were progressing at a slower pace and you had the time to connect with everybody, learn their stories. Heck, even Larry's death was sad to me...
Now all they do is kill 1-2 random characters per episode, throw a couple of punches to the face, get Clem hurt or something and that's all. The more that kind of stuff happens the less it bothers me - I just get used to it because it becomes something ordinary. How can I care about someone I know nothing about or just met 5 minutes before his death?

Where is the exploration, where are the conversations, personal stories, triumphs and losses?
Come on TTG you're better than that!

Season 1 was completely different in my opinion and way better

They could change it up and make it a positive ending for once. After struggling hard for the entire season, maybe Clem, Kenny, and possibly others find some hope somewhere (Wellington?). You'll never top the tragedy of season one's finale so they shouldn't even bother. We've grown to expect the worst so if TellTale actually switched the lid and gave us a positive ending, it would surprise everyone. There could be some bad things hinting toward season 3.
  • I agree with Stanley. I still love season 2 dont get me wrong but it does not have the same feel to it as Season 1. The only characters i have genuinely cared about and worry about them dying is Clem and Kenny. I was terrified st what happened to Kenny in ep3

  • The ending is going to beva big choice apparently. "Pizza and ice cream you can't have them both" was a teaser by someone from telltale recently. My guess is, Clem has to do something drastic choosing between maybe Kenny or Luke
  • I don't know if season 2 ending will be even sadder then season 1 ending but does it matter? I mean... it would be awesome but in the same time it doesn't mean that season 2 will be horrible (if we are talking about quality). For now season 2 is really great, at least for me. I will be happy if Telltale will manage to create ending that won't be as dissapointed as the ones for Mass Effect 3.
  • Sadder, I don't think so, like Stanley Chipman wrote, it's harder to feel connected to the group.
Kenny's death, that would be sad, But not as Lee's death.
Or they might do a shocking ending, or even a giant cliffhanger for a season 3. But anyway, I haven't lost hope.
  • I think Kenny will die in some sort of heroic way to protect Clem.

I'm even sure about that, because he touched Clem's cursed hat, he is going to die anyway XD
