What do you think of Luke?
And do you trust him?
While I think he is sharp, caring, tactful, and in general a good guy, his plans and all don't seem to work out.
I think he is trustworthy in his intentions; the guy has a good heart, however I do not think his plans should always be trusted to fall through, the way he intends for them to.

I feel like I don't really know who he is. I don't know who anyone is.
Luke is so much better.
I love that he is the opposite from Kenny and still is not willing to kill people, even if they are bad.
His plans are not the best, but 'good plans' are not what I search for in characters ;)
I search for a good heart and loyalty.
I search for someone who cares about Clementine and the group.
He is not perfect by all means, but I would actually shed a tear if he would die.
I do respect that.
But I personally don't trust him, like I do Kenny.
Mainly cause I've known Kenny longer, and know more what to expect from him.
And one thing I will say for Kenny, which is one of the main things I like about him, is his tenacious optimism.
No matter what happens, he has still managed to hang on to it.
Though understandably depressed over his family's death, especially Duck's, he still has not given up his optimistic outlook, nor his adventurous and fighting spirit.
If I were to describe their different roles in the group, each character, here's how they'd be.
Kenny is the warrior.
And like any warrior, he's the first one willing to fight to protect the group, butally if he has to.
And also, like any warrior, he's willing to stay and fight for the group to the bitter end.
But Kenny also can be very loving and caring, which is wonderfully expressed in his affection for Clementine and Sarita.
Luke, is the diplomat.
And like any diplomat, preferring to talk his way out of a situation, than resort to violence.
And while also possessing a heart of gold, Luke also appears to be willing to fight, though not with the same tenacity and brutality as Kenny.
But then again, he hasn't been put in a situation where he has to, yet.
Nick, is Luke's right hand man.
Having been friends for twenty years, there is no one that the other trusts more.
Though Nick does seem to have a harder time, living with the things he's done, he seems to be willing to protect himself and the others when the need arises.
Clementine, even though she is the playable character, is still the moral compass for the group.
And seem to be the one that the others are most comfortable opening up to, especially Kenny.
Even though she is quite smart, tough, and able to defend herself remarkably well for an eleven year old, she still needs has much to learn and needs to have a parental figure in her life.
Cause like it or not, an eleven year old is still way to young to have to fend and make adult moral decisions for themself.
Rebecca, due to her pregnancy, is right now the weakest member of the group.
And yet in spite of this, I feel she is still a great asset, due to her caring and loving nature.
Sarah, is right now what Clementine was in season one.
Even though she was, in my opinion overprotected by her late father Carlos, that she will become stronger and more hardened as time goes on, like Clementine has become.
Bonnie, is more a mother figure of the group.
After witnessing her actions and concerns towards Clementine especially, I'd say she is the one who will be most concerned with nurturing the group, though not to where she's being overly protective.
Sarita, I would say falls into the same class as Bonnie.
Though I think Bonnie has a stronger and tougher personality.
Jane, is the lone wolf of the group.
And like most lone wolves, more accustomed to looking out for herself than others.
It will be interesting to see what she brings to the table, and whether or not she proves to be either an asset or a detriment to the group.
I think I've gotten everyone.
If I've missed anyone, I apologize, but there's my descriptions of them.
What do you think?
It was nice to see him back, though. I hope he isn't missing for long in Episode 4.
If I would've heard that as Lee, I'd have knocked him on his ass!
Luke has some good points, but after I heard that, I will admit it did shake my trust in him, and understandably so.
If it would've been an option I'd have said: " What if it were Nick, Rebecca, or myself who was injured, would you be willing to leave one of us behind? Your statement just now doesn't generate a lot of trust, not with me especially.'"
And I'd also add: " And you can't blame me, nor anyone else for feeling that way."
I myself, as Clementine, angrily refused.
And after he said that, it did shake my trust in him.
I couldn't help but wonder what if it were me, would he leave me behind as well?
Admittedly, it is an understandable way to feel, especially after he makes a comment like that concerning a friend of mine.
Though that doesn't mean I don't think he has some good points.
After all he did follow the group back to Carver's camp, and he did object to killing Carver on moral grounds.
But I still just couldn't help but wonder, what if it were me, in Kenny's predicament?
What has he done?Nothing heroic . Nothing significant .
His biggest moment is getting caught while trying to steal some hunnybuns.
Yet, there is 15 new Luke threads everyday SMH
I will agree, unlike Kenny who tried to save Ben, Luke has not done anything particularly heroic.
Yes he did follow the group back to Carver's encampment and later plan a breakout, but then so was Kenny, who started doing so almost from the minute he landed in Carver's hellhole.
And as far as doing anything significant.
The only significant thing I can remember Luke doing was finding out that the guy Nick shot in episode 2, was Walter's partner, and then urging Clementine not to say anything about it.
Again I believe Luke is in many respects a nice guy, but I don't find him overly unique.
Not to mention trustworthy!
Main reason Kenny trying to save Ben is especially heroic, is because Ben is the guy who unintentionally killed Kenny's family a few days before.
And Kenny wanting him dead for that reason is reasonable.
So for Kenny to try to save him, and then when unable to go and euthanize Ben, took a lot of forgiveness on Kenny's part.
As Kenny could've just left Ben to be eaten alive by walkers, but he didn't.
Not just anyone can show that kind of forgiveness!
It takes a big person to be able to do that.
Haven't seen what Luke might do, if he were ever put in that kinda scenario.
And as far as Luke planning a breakout, while Kenny was doing the same.
I only did that to show that what Luke was doing, wasn't a new concept.
