iOS issues/glitch with tap and drag left

HI All! new to the forums. I'm posting here because of a huge issue on iOS. 1st off the controls in this game are terrible on iOS. but i deal with it. many times i would swipe and the game wouldn't recognize it. Which is funny because they work fine in The wolf among us. Anyway i got to the point where clem was bringing nails to the workers and kenny was arguing with someone and the zombies bust in. and i hit him twice with the wooden plank then swipe left to duck behind a tilted counter. Thne the game just says tap and drag left to escape. and i've done it so many ways. slow and steady, lightning fast small drags, big drags. tried everything but nothing works right at all and then the zombie grabs my head and game over. I did this for about 30 minutes last night before stopping due to frustration. Is anyone else having this issue? I can't advance my story anymore until this gets fixed :(

    It seems a lot of people have been having this issue. I would recommend constantly swiping left from that point to the end of the animation but besides that, I think you'' just have to try to get lucky.

    If you're not on iPad (3+), I see why you think the controls suck, also that's probably the reason why you couldn't drag left. I play on iPad and I NEVER had any buggy problems, no it's not a good iPad, for one thing it's old, secondly it's buggy on other games (sometimes) and you may wanna force close other apps because it's sorta a big game compared to a IPhone or IPod

    Then force close other apps or try something that wouldn't create bugs for the game. Also why do you think the controls suck? Other than it's way to easy to use and less challenging compared to others

    because they don't work. the wold among us works on every swipe and press. as does every other game. but in TWD all episodes have had issues but this is the one i can't get past no matter what. Also had nothing else running in the background. in the walking dead your lucky if it recognizes 70% of your swipes and in this part its not good enough to keep trying over till it works like i did with episode 1 and 2.

    My friend plays on IOS and he can't finish S1E1 because Clem won't give him the cane to jam the door :D Clem just stands there holding the cane while my friend taps the screen to grab it in frustration. xD

    I never had this problem. Have you tried placing your finger on the screen, moving to the left about an inch, and then holding it there? That's what I did.

    I believe what I did is that I dragged left once and then just held my finger to the left side of the screen until Clementine went through, no need to continually drag your finger across the screen.

    that was probably my issue then. which the directions were clearer

    i'm playing on my iphone 4s and while this part of the game is a slight challenge to complete, it's nowhere near impossible. i thought it was really hard at first then i realised i'd been dragging my finger the wrong way... made me feel pretty useless haha! to do it, i just press the middle of the screen and drag my finger LEFT quickly and repeat to slide away from the zombie (i'd been dragging right perviously...) it's quite tricky but once you've got it, you should be fine :)
