Who would you console?
Here's a hypothetical scenario:
No matter what you do, Sarita is infected, but Kenny refuses to believe it because they cut the arm off (if you didn't cut the arm off then the group cuts it off anyways, but it's too late). The whole group is at the civil war site in hopes of Luke, Nick, and Sarah regrouping with them there. It becomes apparent that Sarita is dying of infection so Kenny (no longer in denial) says his goodbyes and puts her out of her misery. After the deed is done, Kenny sits down with his hat covering his eyes, grieving and full of anger. Before you get the chance to solace Kenny, you hear a rustling in the bushes. The group draws out there weapons to see who the perpetrator is, everyone besides Kenny. You see Sarah walk through the bushes, sulking about her dad and close behind her you see a shadowy figure holding a body. You finally discover who the figure is and who he's carrying. The shadowy figure is Luke and the body he is carrying is Nick's body which looked like he was shot in the head. The sun shines on Luke's face and you see tears running down his face. Luke takes two steps out of the bushes, falls down to his knees, and begins sobbing over Nick's body. Luke starts blaming himself and says that it should have been him instead of Nick. You look at Luke then at Kenny.
Who do you console and give emotional support to?
Kenny or Luke?

Man I teared up when you wrote Nick died.
Also you forgot to write Sarah.
damn, i mean luke and nick have knows each other for over 20 yeas, nick said it him self.
Kenny hasten known sarita for maybe 3 years.
so i think i would go to luke.
I wanna say Luke because I care more about him and Nick, but I still wanna be there for Kenny. Tough choice. About Sarah, meh, Rebecca can take care of her.
ravensep What if their is no timer?
I said i wouldn't need emotional support from a 11 year old girl and neither should they. I am "emotionally distant" than most people because of what i have lived through.
Better question, what if there's no TIME... to show this kind of emotional feel scene, there's only 90 minutes, quickly, Kenny, steal the show with your new eyepach! No room for drama and character development here.
Sorry, had to be an asshole.
Although I don't want to undermine Kenny and Luke's pain, I would also take into account that: They're grown men who have experienced this before. Sarah has never been so closely affected by a death as now. The first death of a loved one is the most harrowing of them all. Although only Luke was mentioned to have this ability, I think both he and Kenny would have an easier time 'moving (on, forward)' from such an experience than Sarah.
