  Yes. This season is preparing Clem to be a leader in (possibly) the next season. I think she could lead this group right now with Luke as an advisor, Jane as a scout and kenny could lead the men on dangerous missions like scavenging, if he could follow orders better.
  
  But they only view her as a child.

  Some of them do. To Luke, "she's a valuable, little girl.". To Kenny, well, she's like his adopted kid, and also an adult to him, too. Her choices are valued to him. To Carlos, she was "just a little girl". I'm not bothered to keep going.

  Kenneth won't just give up cause its hard. He'll stick it out, and help the folk(s) he cares about.

  I have a feeling Kenny's sanity will heavily depend on how much Clementine stays by his side. After Sarita's death, if Kenny also loses Clementine's support. Then he will have lost just about everything.
