Watch Dogs, get hyped.
Mainly, I've created this so people can discuss their hype for Ubisoft's upcoming game being released next week. For people who have pre-ordered the game already or will get it eventually.
Anyways, it does look like a superb game in my opinion. Having the ability to hack almost anything in the city of Chicago, one of them being able to hack steam pipes out of all things! It will most certainly be a change of pace compared to the yearly Assassin's Creeds that have been pumped out. Here's hoping that it will be an exact recreation of Chicago as well, since it is in my own state after all. XD
Fyi, there is leaked footage of the game on Youtube if you're curious to see on how it plays out. Or you can just watch the Watch Dogs 101 trailer if you haven't seen it already!

Somewhere or other I'm sure I read that they've recreated the landmarks and the rest has been scaled down, so it's pretty authentic.
Aiden's jacket is sweet to, and you can buy it from UbiWorkshop for - wait - $1,199.99.
Bah, as for the outfit, people can just recreate his outfit for like, 99 percent off of that outrageous price. XP
Yup, cosplayers are inventive people. I can understand why an official one with all the bits on it would appeal, I just find it somehow ironic when in the game the coat belongs to someone who's trying to keep a low profile and presumably most funds they receive are through illicit means.
Multiplayer looks fun too, both the hacking and the team versus. Plus a neat feature where you always look like Aiden when you're playing with others.
Ooo, I can't wait for the online too, it is something that I will probably excel in with secretly hacking people from a distance and such.
The only thing I can really tell you about it, aside from teensy bits of history, is that is is approximately 3,836 miles away from where I live haha.
Surprised no one else has commented here yet. Anyway, here's a brief yet curious video showing how the Watch Dogs of yester-year could have looked.

I'm also surprised myself, guess we are the only ones on these forums who are really looking forward to Watch Dogs, I will check the link you gave as well!
EDIT: I forgot about that dude who made N64-style parodies of modern games! I seriously gotta check out his other recent vids.
ubisoft said they want to make the game as big and better then gta v really going for this perfecting this game to be the best I read so many interviews going to be unbelieveable I can't wait YES
I can't wait either! It definitely looks like it will be more alive compared to GTA 5, maybe it won't be as big like it, but. A perfect game for the next-gen so far, from what we're seeing.
But yup its a new promising Direction for anyone who's interested. Especially for Ubisoft. Gotta check out some LP's. Maybe i change my Mind.
Seems everyone was lurking in the shadows.
They're some pretty awesome parodies.
There are some E3 demos and trailers out there which highlight gameplay that I'd recommend checking out, though they are from the developers.

So the game has been out a while, and to any who've played it, what do you think?
Though I've not spent a great deal of time with it yet, I'm enjoying it. The hacking works on a tactical and action level, the city seems pretty interesting, and I don't think the story is particularly bad.
It seems to have become almost immediately popular to dislike the game, despite generally favourable reviews, therefore I might be in the minority.
It's a sweet game, well-worth the wait if you ask me. I've been playing it non-stop, sort of. :P I find it annoying that lots of reviews and gamers are comparing it to GTA 5, in fact: it's more than annoying. Story's pretty great and the online is as well.
Anyhow, thanks for the bump again, Noir. I doubt anyone else will comment on this topic again, unless if maybe I change the title or something.
Glad to know someone else is of the same opinion; and the comparisons to GTA are unfair and inaccurate, given how many key components differ between the games.
Yeah, I was hoping for some entertaining discussion on it, however I'm not sure there would be even if you change the title - most people seem disgruntled by it. Gamers are a fickle bunch. Oh well, more time to spend playing it
Ubisoft ruined the game by themself. They hyped and hyped and hyped it. They even showed us over 5 hours of gameplay and trailer since it was announced. It just doesn't feel as orginial as it should because I know so much about the game. If they maybe announced this game in january of this year the metacritic score would most likely be over 90 or something. Still fun but you're just to familiar with nearly everything this game has to offer.
I give it 7/10 because of what I said over and the fact that they could have focused more on the hacking aspect to make it feel less like a Gta clone.
While it may be a GTA clone in general, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you on some points you mentioned.
Yes, the game was way overhyped with its constant release of trailers and such, but at least it delivered in the way it was advertised. Since there are a lot of game companies that falsely tell tales about their games, no pun intended.
Yes, it has a lot of stuff similar to the GTA series, car-jacking, going to point A to point B, therefore killing everyone, but I believe there's more to it than that, while the hacking adds in a fresh new feature to the free roam genre. Including the various mini-games that litter the map, especially if you play the digital trips on Aiden's phone.
Yes, they could have worked more on the hacking aspects of the game, even though I think there's enough options that involve a good amount of variety to the hacking. Plus, the online offers a different perspective of the game if you play the online tailing or hacking modes, something that GTA doesn't have. (I haven't played the online races or the decryption modes yet)
Besides, I love the setting of Watch Dogs. You ever rarely see a game that takes place in Chicago. Usually games nowadays has the setting take place in a wasteland, a zombie-infested city, or an abandoned space station, just to name a few.
Haha, same! If you are playing on Xbox 1, maybe I'll randomly join your game to secretly hack your phone, via the online hacking mode. :P
Haven't been able to get into it very much, because the PC optimization is complete and utter arse. SLI'd GTX 780 Tis and the game still stutters and hiccups. Though I guess that's Ubisoft for you.
Well, apparently they are working on a patch for PC players, no clue on its date.
Well, until then...I guess it's going on the back burner for a bit.
As a matter of fact I am playing on Xbox 1! I will keep an eye out for a lurking dragon my gamertag is Sharpy102, so you would actually know if it's me now haha
