He was an asshole for some of his actions like beating Clem. But in his defence Clem would've potentially been dead if it wasn't for Troy an… mored his crossbow. Still beating a kid is unforgivable and I wouldn't want him in the group for that simple reason.
It'd be nice if there was a choice, and if you take Troy with you he'd help you find Sarah (with Jane perhaps) and maybe Clementine could talk to him and learn about him. Maybe he had a family, friends, and perhaps Clementine can gain her humanity back slowly by giving it back to others starting with Troy.
"A man should never hit a woman"
equal rights ... sorry, what? women hit men all the time in real life. That is hypocricy if you say that and are a feminist.
I think he was just scared of Carver mostly, looking at him while he was beating the shit out of Kenny.
He did act like a total asshole and hit Clem, and for that he had no redemption.
I don't say that, but feminism is BY DEFINITION striving for equal rights, so if you sit there and say feminism is hypocritical I'm going to think you're a sexist moron.

I think Troy WAS good guy , you see his face when he was beating Kenny he was scared and disgusted .I think the only reason Troy acted as an asshole is because of Carver And Troy died before knowing Carver died so he was an asshole to the end.And I would have taken him with me of course under surveillance.
I think Tyranitar is simply stating just because Clementine is 11, she's lost most child-like adolescence she had in Season 1. She realises … morethat there are more that motivates people other than "good" and "bad."
I personally wonder how Troy slept at night being a "lackey" for someone like Carver.
Yes, Flog, I think it's fucked up for anyone to hit another person. I believe I have said that time and time again on numerous other threads. I know the definition of sexism, and clearly I am not a sexist because if you hit anyone, it's pretty fucked up. There, did I clarify myself for you?
Yes, I probably would. It's not because I particularly like him, it's just that I'm trying to get my Clem to be a sort of hero. I tend to try my best to save everyone, and I did feel pretty bad for Troy. I think the main reason I would've taken him with us would be the fact what Carver had said earlier. "You're more like me than you think." I really wanted to prove him wrong. That was also one of the reasons I didn't watch him get killed, as I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of me being like him. So, yes, I would take Troy and everybody else in Carver's group.

I feel like he had given up on Carver the instant he saw his corpse, and once Jane said he could go with the group he instantly aligned himself to our group. He even started to crack a joke about Jane needing to take a bath.
I honestly don't think he would have been that much of a problem, they could have taken his gun away and he wouldn't have been able to do shit.
So yeah, I'd have let him come. He seemed like a goon who would do what he's told, so he'd probably listen to what we'd tell him to do. In that respect I can see him playing a role like Merle in the second half of Season 3 of the TV series.
thought about it
as much as i love giving people 2nd chances
don't think it could work i feel troy would bring too much unwanted tension into the group
probably start fights with luke and kenny over absolutely nothing
sometimes we need death for the story to progress and troy needed to die
Certainly not. He could be nice sometimes, like when he asked in the beginning of the episode if everything went well with the girls, or when he saved Clem, but he was loyal to Carver, so I'm sure that he wouldn't be a good addition to the group.
No it isn't. It fights for female supremecy. Hence the name, and the things they fight for. For some reason, new feminists can't see that and keep blindly following the order.
I'm a humanitarian myself.

The name for feminism came about from the days when women were barely even citizens. All they wanted was equality, and that's still what feminism's about. Yes, there are some Misandrists out there who pervert the definition, but the majority of feminists and the feminism doctrine are still about equality.

I thought there was something there between them like that, too. I'm not sure if it was rape, or if it was something more like the deal that Molly had going on in Crawford, but clearly there was some sort of negative interaction between him and Jane, and I can't think of many other scenarios that would warrant shooting a guy's dick off.
If it hadn't been for that, though, I would have been interested to see how his character developed.
I thought that was pretty clear right off the bat to be honest.
To answer the question, no I wouldn't have taken him, I think I hated him more than Carver. I'd have shot him in the dick.
From what others are saying, though, it's quite possible that he raped Jane, and if that's true, then he absolutely deserved getting his dick shot off.
i think no matter how much u hate somebody: Getting shot in the dick is just...man you dont shoot man in the dicks thats just heartless (https)://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k-rcOPz9vM
Look, I'll bet that he only saved her life because he was scared of what was gonna happen if one of the prisoners died under his watch.
It was his job to make sure they stayed out of trouble. He doesn't give a shit about Clem.
I mean, Carver kills people over berries, who knows what he'd do to Troy?
Maybe if he had shown any sign of wanting to befriend the group or just shown a sign or KINDNESS sometime instead of being a d*ck (hehe) about everything.
Though I will admit that when he first popped out of the buildning when Jane started talking to him I did consider it, especially when he asked where we would go, it just sounded so... sad I dunno. But I guess Jane solved that choice for me anyway (Since I suck at being mean so I probably would accept him and then regret it.) I wish he didn't have to go in such a nasty manner though. He was pretty amusing at times.
I don't think I would take Troy. The way he kicked, smacked, and man-handled Clem and wanted to smack Sarah showed that he's a real crazy jerk who would most likely bring trouble later on. Then Carlos would actually say if he lived, "Luke, he's becoming a danger to the group".
Hell no, that guy was only up to trouble and obsessed with power. Also, his fate was totally deserved. I think we can be pretty certain that he had raped Jane, maybe even on several occassions. It explains why she had kept quiet for all this time and how she was able to talk Troy down, by faking affection towards him and get his guard down. She have probably played the fake affection thing for a while too during her time there, waiting for a time to get revenge, which she finally got.
Also, the comment from Troy when Sarah had to go pee, and Clem and Sarah came back out of the woods, he said something along the lines of "Everything came out alright"?, with a shady look and smirk on his face. That moment kinda disgusted me and had pedo written all over it.
TL;DR He was most likely a rapist and a pedophile, so no.

Well done Telltale.
Have your first like :P

He may have hit Clem, and was an all out douche bag, but i think if we gave him a chance, he would actually be a good character.

And I found that weird because I was calling for his head throughout most of the episode. Was I the only one like that?

(Also I love Fallout, and I probably got stockholm syndrome. Damnit.)

No, even if he was scared or else.

Slapping me lead to this -
Yes, mostly due to the fact that I don't ever let anyone die who can live. (Unless it's a choice between two people).
I would have brought him but in no way would i be nice to him.
